"Like everything else we do, we tried to put our own unique stamp on the book and make it different than anything else out there on the market."

On another adventure, we all got to see the English countryside when we went to visit the studio of our favorite artist, Ann Carrington. We have several of her pieces in our house (portraits of Queen Elizabeth made from pearl buttons, Michael Jordan created from deflated basketballs), and we used her work quite a bit in our hotel project, BUNGALOW (that’s next week!). As you will see at Bungalow, Ann made flags of all nations our out denim, ribbon and other bits and pieces of that are colorful, stunning and funky.

And just to show that travelling always includes a few snags, we discovered once we arrived in London there that we had rented a venue for the book signing for the wrong date! I admit we were more stressed out than usual. Can you blame us? With nowhere to have the party, our dear friend, Kenny Schachter (who is an art and design curator and head of the Rove Gallery in London), came to the rescue. He offered up his amazing home for the party. The guests were impressed with the one-of-a-kind art and design pieces throughout the home. Us too! It was a fun and memorable event, and everything worked out perfectly in the end.

The whole trip to London was a whirlwind, and a great travel experience. We got to see London , our friends, meet some new ones, and celebrate our book. All good. We all had a blast making this episode, so we hope you will have a good time watching it! Until next time, thanks again for all your great wishes and cool feedback.
