Make Me a Supermodel – Voting Rules and Frequently Asked Questions

All of the following rules and procedures are subject to change at the producer's sole discretion.

All of the following rules and procedures are subject to change at the producer's sole discretion.

How do I vote?

To vote, simply watch the first run of Make Me a Supermodel on Bravo each week on Thursdays (see local listings for dates/times in your area).  If you are watching in the U.S., you can cast your vote following each voting episode by telephone (toll-free or standard rate text message) or online for the Make Me a Supermodel contestant or contestants you think should stay and remain in the competition from the group of designated contestants.  The voting period opens just before the end of the show at or around 10:55pm ET Thursdays and ends at  4:00am ET Fridays / at or around 7:55pm PT Thursdays – 1:00am PT Fridays (the "Voting Period").  During the show, you just need to note the toll-free number or the contestant number/keyword of the contestant you want to vote for along with the applicable shortcode, and then call, text or go online after the voting is announced on the show as described below.

To vote by toll-free:  Each contestant from the designated group of contestants each week will be assigned his or her own toll-free number, which will be announced during the show.  During the Voting Period, dial the phone number of the contestant for whom you wish to vote (e.g., 1 866 I WANT 01 for contestant 1, 1 866 I WANT 02 for contestant 2, etc.). The Voting Period will open just before the end of the East Coast airing of the show on Thursdays. The phone lines will NOT be open before that and all you would hear is a busy signal if you call. To vote by standard rate text message:  Each contestant from the designated group of contestants each week will be assigned his or her own contestant number/keyword (e.g., 1 for contestant 1, 2 for contestant 2 etc.), which will be announced during the show.  If you have a cell phone with text messaging service from a participating carrier (see below), during the Voting Period, send a text with the announced number/keyword associated with the contestant and send it to 51555 (e.g., send the number 1 for contestant 1, the number 2 for contestant 2, etc.).  Only send the number/keyword to the shortcode 51555, you cannot send a text message to the toll-free numbers.  The Voting Period will be open just before the end of the show on Thursdays.  To opt out of the promotion at any time send STOP, QUIT, CANCEL, END or UNSUBSCRIBE to 51555.

To vote online:  You may also vote online by going to www.bravotv.com  (the “Website”).  When you go to that web address during the Voting Period, you will be asked to enter your details (name, phone number, e-mail address, state, confirmation of over 13 years of age), and then you will be permitted to vote from the designated group of contestants each week. The online Voting Period will be open just before the end of the show on Thursdays.

You can vote up to ten (10) times per vote method.  Any additional votes you try to cast will NOT count.  However, the producer reserves the right in its sole discretion to impose a limit on the number of votes that may be submitted by any method.  Any such change will be posted on the Website. Voters will have the opportunity to receive information from Bravo Media LLC (“Bravo”) and Alltel Wireless by checking the appropriate box. Voters who wish to receive information from Alltel Wireless must be 18 years or older.  If at any time, you do not wish to receive these materials in the future, please go to Bravo’s privacy policy, located at http://www.bravotv.com/Privacy_Policy.

Information collected from entrants is subject to  the Bravo Privacy Policy (http://www.bravotv.com/Privacy_Policy) and the Alltel Privacy Policy (http://www.alltel.com) or via email to: Office.of.Privacy@alltel.com.

Who can vote?

Anyone calling, Text Messaging or voting online from within Continental US, Hawaii and Alaska and who is 13 years of age or older can cast their vote(s) for Make Me a Supermodel.

When can I vote?

Voting for Make Me a Supermodel opens just before the end of the show on Thursdays at or around 10:55pm ET - 4:00am ET Fridays / at or around 7:55pm PT – 1:00am PT Fridays.  Outside of this time, the toll-free lines will play a busy signal and your call will not count as a vote. If you vote by text and vote outside of the Voting Period, you will receive a message telling you voting is not open yet and to try again after the show.  If you try to vote online before the Voting Period begins, you will see a page telling you to come back later.  Standard text messaging rates will apply to all messages sent and received.  You can vote up to ten (10) times per vote method.  Any additional votes you try to cast will NOT count.

How much does it cost to vote?

Telephone calls to the Make Me a Supermodel voting lines are toll-free from landlines. If you use a wireless phone to call the Make Me a Supermodel voting lines, airtime and applicable roaming and long distance charges will apply. Additionally, if you vote using Text Messaging, depending on your wireless plan, your wireless service provider may charge you for each text message you send and receive.  Please consult your wireless service provider regarding their pricing plans.  Standard text message rates apply; other charges may also apply.

Can I vote by using my cell phone?

Yes, you can vote using your cell phone, although airtime and applicable roaming charges will apply when calling toll-free numbers from wireless phones. Contact your cell phone service provider if you want to know how much you will be charged. Additionally, if you vote using Text Messaging, standard Text Messaging fees will apply – see How Do I Vote Using Text Messaging? for more details. Only send the contestant number/keyword (e.g. 1 for contestant 1) to the announced shortcode, 51555. You cannot send a text message to the toll-free numbers.  You can vote up to ten (10) times per vote method.  Any additional votes you try to cast will NOT count.  Your 11th vote will receive an “invalid” response and any subsequent votes will not receive a message.  To get help on SMS voting at any time send HELP to the shortcode 51555, call 888-782-2180 or email info@telescope.tv.

I couldn’t get through to the lines or all I get is a fast busy signal when I call – why?

Although the telephone network is designed to handle huge volumes of calls simultaneously, there may be times (particularly just after the show) when it will not be able to handle every single call due to the sheer volume. If you are calling during the Voting Period but can’t get through to cast your vote, be patient and try again.

If you hear a busy signal, it may be that you are calling outside of the Voting Period. When the Voting Period closes, lines will switch from a ‘thank you for voting’ message to a busy signal.

If you are sure you are calling within the Voting Period but still can’t get through, it may be that your local phone company has been flooded with calls. Try waiting a few minutes before calling again.

What will I hear if I call the toll-free numbers?

Voting begins at the end of the show - if you call before then, you will hear a busy signal and your vote will NOT count.

Just before the end of the East Coast airing of the show each week, the Voting Period will begin and phone lines will be opened. Each contestant up for public vote will have his or her own number read/shown on air, and the phone message will confirm your vote has been cast.

After the Voting Period closes (see above for times), no more votes will be accepted and lines will play out a busy signal.

You can vote up to ten (10) times per vote method.  Any additional votes you try to cast will NOT count even if you hear the ‘thanks for voting’ message.

How do I vote using Text Messaging?

Text Messaging – sometimes known as SMS (short messaging service) - is a way of communicating short messages via your wireless phone or two way wireless device. Most (but not all) handsets have this feature.  As with the toll-free voting for Make Me a Supermodel, each contestant up for public vote will also be assigned his or her own contestant number/KEYWORD during the show (e.g. 1 for contestant 1, or 2 for contestant 2) – this contestant number/KEYWORD will appear on your TV screen alongside the toll-free phone numbers. To vote by text, simply watch Make Me a Supermodel on Bravo each Thursday, input the contestant number/KEYWORD (e.g. 1, 2) into a new text message on your cell phone and send this message to the shortcode 51555.  You cannot send a text message to the toll-free numbers. If done correctly, you will receive a message confirming your vote. You will receive a message confirming your first valid vote during the Voting Period regardless of how many contestants you vote for, or how many votes you cast.

Text message voting will open just before the end of the show on Thursdays at or around 10:55pm ET - 4:00am ET Fridays / at or around 7:55pm PT – 1:00am PT Fridays.  Voting will NOT be open during the show. Votes sent outside of the Voting Period will be invalid but you will receive a message stating voting is not open and to try again after the show.  You can vote up to ten (10) times per vote method.  Any additional votes you try to cast will NOT count.

The wireless carriers participating are Alltel, AT&T, Boost, Nextel, Sprint, SunCom, T-Mobile, Verizon and Virgin Mobile.

Who can vote using Text Messaging?

Text Messaging votes can be sent from within Continental US, Hawaii and Alaska. Text message voting is available to wireless subscribers with two-way text messaging capable handsets. The wireless carriers participating are Alltel, AT&T, Boost, Nextel, Sprint, SunCom, T-Mobile, Verizon and Virgin Mobile.  You can vote up to ten (10) times per vote method.  Any additional votes you try to cast will NOT count.

When can I vote using Text Messaging?

Voting for Make Me a Supermodel opens just before the end of the show on Thursdays at or around 10:55pm ET - 4:00am ET Fridays / at or around 7:55pm PT – 1:00am PT Fridays.  Votes cast outside of the Voting Period will be invalid.  Input the contestant’s number/KEYWORD (e.g. 1, 2) into a new text message on your cell phone and send this message to the shortcode 51555.  You cannot send a text message to the toll-free numbers.  You can vote up to ten (10) times per vote method.  Any additional votes you try to cast will NOT count.

How do I know my vote has been counted?

Your message will have been counted if you are a wireless subscriber and text your vote during the valid Voting Period and receive your confirmation message, unless your handset says ‘message not sent’ or if you exceed the vote limit.  You can vote up to ten (10) times per vote method.  Any additional votes you try to cast will NOT count. You will receive only one text confirmation message each week, regardless of how many contestants you vote for, or how many times you vote that week. If you are calling the toll-free numbers to cast your vote, your vote will count if you hear the ‘thanks for voting’ message the first 10 times you call.  You can vote up to ten (10) times per vote method.  Any additional votes you try to cast will NOT count.

How much does it cost to vote via text message?

The cost of voting for wireless subscribers varies depending on your Carrier’s Wireless Text Messaging Package. If you do not have a Text Messaging Package, standard Text Messaging rates apply to messages sent and received. You will be charged for each message sent from and received by your wireless device, regardless of delivery and including invalid votes cast outside of the specified time period.

When I tried to vote, my handset said 'message not sent' - why?

Like the toll-free voting, while the Wireless Text Messaging network is designed to handle huge volumes of votes simultaneously, there may be times (particularly just after the show) when it will not be able to handle every message due to network congestion. When this happens, ‘message not sent’ will appear on your handset. Please be patient and try again later.

How do I find out the results?

The voting shows will air on Thursdays on Bravo each week (see your local listings for show dates and times) and the results will be broadcast during the following week’s show.

Why can't I vote via the toll-free numbers using a payphone?

Votes from payphones will be blocked. To vote for your favorite contestant, use a standard land line telephone or cell phone. Charges may apply when using your cell phone.

What is power voting, and what is being done to protect against it?

Power voting occurs when individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the voting system by generating significant blocks of votes using technical enhancements. The producer will have in place monitoring procedures designed to prevent this type of occurrence on Make Me a Supermodel.   If the producer and Bravo believe that votes were made by power-voting, they reserve the right to remove these votes from the final tally.

Disclaimer:

The Voting Period is subject to change in producer’s and Bravo’s sole discretion.  For changes to the Voting Period, log on to the Website.  Producer and Bravo shall have the right to void any vote that appears, in its sole discretion, to have been made by a person not meeting the eligibility requirements set forth above and the right to permanently disqualify from any voting any person it believes has violated these Voting Rules.  If for any reason the voting is not capable of being run or implemented as planned, including, but not limited to, as the result of infection by computer viruses or bugs, technological problems, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the control of producer and Bravo, which is likely to or actually corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the voting, then producer and Bravo reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to withdraw the transmission of any vote and/or to terminate or suspend the voting at any point and declare the voting results based upon the votes up to that point or any other basis as producer and Bravo may decide, in their sole discretion.  In the event of technical difficulties with the voting, producer and Bravo reserve the right to review the votes for accuracy and to take any appropriate action, including, without limitation, voiding the votes cast during the time period in which such technical difficulties occurred.  If there is a tie among contestants after the voting has concluded, producer and Bravo reserve the right in their sole discretion to determine the contestant or contestants that shall remain in the show.  Bravo, NBC Universal, Inc., Tiger Aspect USA, and any other entity involved in the development, administration, or production of the show or this voting (“Released Parties”) are not responsible for any computer, network, technical, electronic, human or other errors or problems of any kind, for any injury or damage to participants or to any person’s computer or wireless device relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software in connection with this vote, or for votes that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed, lost, or late.  By participating, each individual agrees to release and hold the Released Parties and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability or any kind arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, out of their participation in this vote.

These Voting Rules are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of the Released Parties.  Void where prohibited.

PLEASE NOTE THAT A HIGH VOLUME OF VOTES OR TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES WITH THE SYSTEM MAY RESULT IN TEMPORARY INABILITY TO VOTE OR MAY RESULT IN A DELAY IN THE PROCESSING OF VOTES SUCH THAT AN INDIVIDUAL’S VOTE(S) ARE NOT RECEIVED IN TIME TO BE COUNTED.  SPONSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE SHOULD ANY VOTE NOT BE RECEIVED DUE TO SUCH DELAYS.

Caution:
Any attempt by any individual to deliberately damage any online service or website, tamper with the voting process, or otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of the voting is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Released Parties reserve the right to seek damages and/or other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
