The Look

The Leather Layer: A great leather jacket can spice up any outfit.

Wardrobe Must Have: Choose a little black dress that is timeless not trendy.

To protect your hair from harmful rays, find haircare products with a SPF rating of at least 15.

The Life

Tomato Capri: Executive Chef Michael D'Orazio at the Palm Restaurant offered an incredibly easy recipe that anyone can do. Just slice up a tomato, add a basil leaf on top of the tomato slice, and on top of that, add a slice of mozzarella.

When you slice a tomato and get to the end of it, place the tomato on its side, flat side down, and cut horizontally so you have the final slice. Make sure your hand is placed on top of the tomato so that it's not in the way and you cut yourself.

If you have a high-active job like Sandi does, you'll want about 65 grams of protein a day and a 6oz. steak will have about 35 grams which is perfect.

The trick to cooking all kinds of steaks is, keep the grill as hot as possible, sear the outside to keep the juices in there to maintain the flavor of the meat.

For even cooking, begin with room temperature meat.

You can tell how well cooked it is by the firmness of the meat. Michael showed us this great trick: Take your left hand and let it go limp. The firmness of the fleshy part of the skin that's in between your thumb and forefinger is comparable to the firmness a rare steak. Now, if you make a loose fist, the same area's firmness is comparable to a medium-rare steak, and if you make a really tight fist, that area will have the same firmness of a well-done steak.

It's fantastic to have your own herb garden because fresh herbs will add great flavor to your cooking. Focus on parsley because they're great with potatoes, great with breading, and it's a great garnish. Then there's basil which goes great with anything Italian.

To plant your herbs, take some broken pots and place the pieces on the bottom of the pot. This allows for drainage. This will prevent water from collecting in the soil at the bottom of the pot. A lot of these herbs are Mediterranean herbs and if they have too much water, they're not going flourish and it may cause root rot. Then, you want to fill the pot with an equal mix of fertilizer and potting soil. Once that's done, transfer the herbs from its original container to your new one.

You don't need a hammer to tenderize meat. Instead marinade your steak with a zip bag with some fresh lemon or lime juice. The acid in the juice will enhance the meat's flavor while it tenderizes.

The Locale

When furniture shopping, remember size matters. Pre-measure doors and stairways to ensure your new furniture will fit.

Floating Furniture: Pull pieces away from walls for intimate seating areas.
The Lady

Sunlight is a great source for vitamin D, but it can be damaging to your skin so sunblock is essential.

A lip plumper is a great makeup "must" especially if you have fine lines on your lips because what this will do is plump your lips so the fine lines disappear. It will actually fill in those lines.

It doesn't matter what we do for a living as a woman. It's just so important to pamper yourself.

Just like your hair brush, your makeup brushes need to be cleaned too. All it takes is a bit of shampoo and some warm water and they'll be as good as new.
