CJ received an e-mail death threat that she tried to ignore, but the other White House staffers, worried for her safety, forced her to take it seriously. Ron Butterfield of the Secret Service assigned Agent Simon Donovan to protect CJ until the threat could be dealt with.

Keyhole Satellite photos of Iran showed what should have been an innocuous "light water reactor" being built by the Russians. Admiral Fitzwallace and others feared that instead, the Russians were building Iran a HEAVY water reactor, which would be a key component in plutonium production. In effect, it appeared that Russia was giving Iran the capacity for nuclear weaponry.
