The Final Four

Curtis Stone breaks down the competition heading into the finale.

Jul 11, 2012

On the disappointing side was Nookie’s skirt steak, which was overdone. And the chimichurri shouldn’t have been on a hot plate. As for John, he had good instincts. Argentine asados do include salads, but they’re commonly simple like an ensalada mixta (lettuce, tomato, and onion) or potato salad. His Roasted Vegetables with Provolone Cheese & Eggplant Puree just didn’t fit the bill.

At this point in the competition, it’s really difficult for any of these chefs to go home. They’ve come so far, learned so much and cooked some great food. Congratulations John for making it almost around the world. See you all in Uruguay.

Curtis, you are more appealing than the characters on the show.  The entire season was a waste of time.  The mere fact that the lumbering, lazy Noodnik (Nookie) has gotten this far based on his persuasiveness rather than actual cooking skills, is disgusting.  Based on ability and cooking success of a dish, he should have been eliminated in ep. 1.  I hate the major flaw of the show:  the cooktestants vote themselves off.  It stinks like a block of head cheese.

Lynda58 you are perfectly right, the guys come across entitled and arrogant. just watched the last two shows, and had enough of the guy. if he wins it would be so, so sad. or Bravo likes this type of controversy. watching the guy Cohen show who was there as a bartender? the fat-man.

I wish I could find Liz's empanada recipe.  When the locals want it, you know it's great.  BTW, congratulations to Chef Stone on his engagement.  Live long and prosper.

Liz' is favorited this past part by recipes and possible to knock off Avery from top chair seat !

Done with some Nooki's  flare style in selling empanadas as a vendor in spanish ! That work by Avery's butcher able at stringing up the goats ! So note parmesan wheels are created from Argentina or they're multi-latin & Italian combinations!
