Fans of Below Deck and Below Deck: Mediterranean may think they know recurring yacht chef Ben Robinson pretty well. The UK native helmed the kitchen on seasons 1, 2, and 4, and even jumped in on Season 3 when chef Leon Walker was sent packing from Eros. Time and time again, Ben has proven himself to be witty, reliable, and a food aficionado, but more than anything, he is (ahem) quite the ladies’ man.
From hooking up with his then-frenemy Kate Chastain to flirting with Hannah Ferrier to dating Emily Warburton-Adams (and having a fling with Lauren Cohen somewhere in between), Ben seems like the quintessential bachelor. So imagine our total surprise when we discovered the number one lady in his life is actually … a cat: His rescue Bengal, Yolo.
“I adopted her in a bar by that name, kinda ironic when they have 9 lives…” Ben posted on his Instagram five weeks ago. “But also, we can improve one life, mine too…” before adding the hashtag “#bengalcat and #newhome.
Ben shared an insanely cute picture of the palm-sized kitten, while also soliciting his audience for information on his new furry family member. “How about you teach me about Bengal Cats?... I teach you food… I say asparagus, you say Bengal training… Shared info, let’s learn…”
Ben has shared a couple other pictures of Yolo, and she may just be the cutest thing we’ve ever seen.
“We are super #judgemental #cat #bengalcat #chilling #fortlauderdale #springbreak big thank you for everyone’s insight, appreciate it!!! #cheers #chefben #yolo #oscars #notsunburned #filter”
He also shared this lovely portrait of Yolo and explained that “I left you for a few days... To keep the lights on...”
We are loving this cat-crazy side of Ben and can’t wait to see a million more pics of Yolo! Kudos to Ben for adopting — and congrats to Yolo who will surely enjoy literally fancy feasts for the rest of her life.
