4 Baller Superyachts That Billionaire Owners Love to Share With Celebs
If you owned one of these, wouldn't you want to fill it up with star hotties too?
If you are the type who stays up to date on celebrity travel news — say, a regular reader of Bravo's Jet Set — then you know the deal. Celebs like Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Lindsay Lohan, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kylie Jenner, Ivanka Trump, Kevin Hart... they've all spent their summers on fabulous yachts around the world. But what you may not know is that, like the wardrobe and jewels celebs rock on red carpets, they don’t often own these yachts, nor pay for them.
Billionaires with much less recognizable names are often the vessels' owners — and they invite A-listers to party on board. Here's a look inside the champagne-soaked yachts, their owners, and famous party gusts.
Alshair Fiyaz, a Pakistani billionaire, owns Ecstasea, the yacht on which Sara Sampaio and boyfriend Oliver Ripley have been soaking up Mediterranean sun. While they could have stayed on shore at a hotel, they chose to be at sea on this estimated $100 million superyacht. They’ve been enjoying the on-board toys, like flyboards and jet skis, naturally. Cara Delevigne and Selena Gomez were also recently aboard.
Roman Abramovich is a Russian billionaire who owns the Chelsea soccer team. His yacht, the Eclipse, is listed as the most expensive in the world, with some guessing it is worth $1.5 billion. Complete with bullet-proof glass and a laser system to block paparazzi lenses, celebs can really relax here. Recently in Cannes, Kendall Jenner, Orlando Bloom, and Katy Perry were guests. Even Princess Beatrice has been on board. You can rent it out yourself for about $230,000 a night. No biggie!
David Geffen recently invited Mariah — and her whole fam — onto his luxurious yacht. The yacht, called the Rising Sun, is the 10th largest in the world. Leo and Robin Thicke recently boarded after partying in Cannes. Geffen is the cofounder of DreamWorks and he’s rolling in the dough — this isn’t his only yacht. He bought another one from none other than fellow yacht owner and billionaire Abramovich. It’s a small world for billionaire yacht owners!
Saudi Prince Abdul Aziz bin Fahd must have read the papers and took pity on Johnny Depp (after his $7 million divorce settlement) and invited him onboard his megayacht in Ibiza. At 482 feet long, it’s one of the longest in the world. This prince is no stranger to celebs; he was recently partying with Naomi Campbell and Leo, so maybe we’ll see them on board soon. Leo can’t seem to resist the yacht life!
Oh but those aren't all: Ronald Perelman owns a yacht called C2 that Kendall and ex Harry Styles hid out on. There’s the Oscar ll, owned by Mario and Bill Graavnis, where Katy Perry hung out in Australia. Miranda Kerr soaked up sun on the yacht Destination Fox Harb’r Too, which is owned by the same man as Tim Hortons. (But we doubt she ate any donuts in her bikini.)
