Beautiful, tan, long-haired Australian couple Elayna Carausu and Riley Whitelum have been sailing around the globe on a boat known as La Vagabonde since 2014, documenting their adventures on social media like Instagram and YouTube. Most recently, they’ve been to South Pacific dream locations such as Niue, Tonga, and French Polynesia — snorkeling, fishing, diving, and communing with nature’s endless majesty. Consider what you’ve been doing for the past two years, and let their idyllic reality set in.
Well, now the duo — who has amassed a serious following — are about to get a major upgrade, thanks to their social media fame: They’re about to replace the charming La Vagabonde with a multi-mullion dollar yacht…. specifically a tricked-out 45-foot catamaran. And it was all possible because of their social media influence.
In the pair’s latest YouTube video, a collage of their travels, they share the news of how this whole crazy thing came to pass.
It turns out the pair flew to France to meet with luxe ship manufacturer Los Roques after a chance meeting during their travels led to a new friend that made the connection. Los Roques’s marketing manager was a “huge fan” — and the rest is history.
Now the pair says they’re slated to pick up their new ride in February.
Elayna characterizes her feeling as utterly, “over the moon.” Naturally!
Internet fame does pay.
