A Little Boost

Bethenny tells us how she made Christmas her b---h, and why she's happy to have Nick and Ethan in her life.

What can I say about my ass? During skating it was nearly missing because my body couldn't possibly keep up with the calories I was burning. The booty buster was initially a silly idea that I ended up adding to my shapewear line (skinnygirlshapewear.com) because once in a while we all need a little boost. As long as we don't take ourselves too seriously and don't try to be something we're not (and never forget to have fun), I believe in doing anything to make you feel better about yourself.

Skating was so excruciating, overwhelming, and inconvenient, but Ethan made it worth it. I came this far and I wasn't going to not give it my all the whole way through. I was incredibly happy for it to end though.

My family's Christmas was not going to be sacrificed as a result of my childish whims. I did make Christmas my b---h and wasn't doing it half assed. (Somehow the ass ended up being the theme of this week's episode.)

Going to the tree farm was like the warm North Pole. I'm fairly convinced that that really was Santa Claus and that he somehow delivers presents in that danger vehicle. To say that was a rocky road was an understatement. I'm so neurotic that Jason was probably a half of a block away with that saw but it felt like it was inches away. Mommy is crazy!

I love a hideous Christmas sweater party ,and I strongly recommend it! As I always say and do: never take yourself too seriously. This is the perfect holiday tradition and I want to do it every year. How cute was my little Secret Santa Bryn? I love her so much that it is painful. Watching the show with you is like watching a living photo album of my baby, and I drink every drop of it.

Then we went to the "North Pole." I'm certain that Dot works with Santa from the Christmas tree farm and that LA is the real Santa's Village. I've never seen a Santa and elf like that in New York. They are legit!

Why is Cookie so bad??? She gets coal in her stocking every year. What a sneak! I didn't even notice her helping herself to the whole buffet, and she has serious weight issues. Ironically, she doesn't adhere to any of the rules in my book Naturally Thin! Old dog who wants nothing to do with new tricks. I can't help but love her though, and she ain't changing!

Nick's blog was incredible. He is so passionate and talented, and I really loved our dinner. We ended up having drinks afterwards and went out to another place later. I truly enjoy his company and will find a place for him in my life. You can read Nick's food crawl blog at Bethenny.com.

The tour was remarkable, and I can't wait for you to see it next week. The only thing that is so difficult to watch is how tired and haggard I was. Doing this straight after Skating was another psychotic undertaking. I say to myself: "Bethenny ENOUGH is ENOUGH!" Don't worry: soon after this three month tour I hit the wall and finally checked out and relaxed.

More to come! Next week is an incredible episode! I love you all and thank you for watching!

Follow Your Heart

Julie reflects on her journey with Bethenny and where it will lead her next.

Everyone -- this was a pretty intense episode. I wanted to thank all of you for the positive thoughts and support throughout this whole journey. Working for Bethenny and creating an unbreakable bond with her family truly changed and molded me as a person, and has allowed me to take the next step of my life with confidence. You have all helped build Bethenny's empire and your constant support has allowed her to take the next step -- her talk show. Although I am not directly working for Bethenny anymore, I am supporting from a distance and keep very close to her and her family.

For those of you who have asked, I am extremely happy and living in my hometown of Pittsburgh since January. I recently got a job in PR and marketing and am looking forward to the next steps of my life. This experience has taught me many things, but the most important thing is to follow your heart and be thankful for everything that you have in life.

xo,
Julie
