- Bethenny Getting Married: Season 1
I'm writing this as I leave for a much needed vacation to the Caribbean. Last week was intense. The last year was incredible yet overwhelming. Every aspect of my life turned upside down in a very short period of time.
Jason and I really needed our little respite in Montréal. It was so romantic and intimate, and I guess parents need alone time. However, I really hate leaving Bryn. She is my little angel, and I just cherish every single day, bath, and moment with her.
Going to the plant was nothing short of mind blowing. TV didn't even do it justice. The sheer magnitude of how much we're producing and how massive a brand this is was breathtaking. To think that a little idea of mine is a game changer in the world of booze predominantly (I mean entirely) run by men and currently for men. I knew that women would be the ones to purchase my products and that all the men who have told me no simply didn't know. As I say in my book A Place of Yes, never assume anyone is smarter than you. I subsequently partnered with a massive liquor company Jim Beam, who bought my brand. I still have creative control; I'm the face of the brand; I'm the marketer; and I am still the SkinnyGirl. I wrote an article on this on Bethenny.com if you want the full story.
Great episode! We took a romantic trip to Montreal also and went into the Christmas shop- I love it there! I am 100% on your side for no folding table, but my husband would have likely won that argument! It's such a great show Bethenny- enjoy your vacation!
AGAIN, THIS SHOW PROVES TO BE FANTASTIC! LAUGHED THROUGHOUT THE JEANS SHOPPING. JASON AND YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS SO SPECIAL! LOVE THE WAY HE RELATES TO YOU AND YOUR PAST...SO SPECIAL A MAN! THE BOTTLING SCENE WOULD MAKE ANYONE PROUD! I FELT SO PROUD FOR YOU! GO AWAY AND HAVE A RELAXING TIME. I WILL MISS BATH TIME -IT'S MORE THAN PRECIOUS! THIS SHOW MAKES MY MONDAY NIGHTS! TAKE CARE AND SAFE TRIP!
Bethanny: EMPIRE is right. I congratulate you on this amazing business you've built all on your own idea. You've dominated in a man's world of spirits as they said in Montreal. You used to struggle on the income of one person, and you've inspired me! You're so realistic in your therapy sessions, dealing with issues that challenge you and walking right through them. Thank you for your example. Thank you for inspiring me as a woman who struggles with family issues, a business in a man's world, and being single. Can't wait to see you soar with your new ideas!
Bethenny that episode made me laugh and I'm so happy for you guys!..... One request? A skinny girl vodka drink.???? There are a lot of calories in Juice. Help a sista out. :) .... I wanna support you but I hate tequilla.
Bethenney, I loved the way that you spent your "actual" birthday day!!! I got teary eyed seeing you and your family....even Cookie :-) take a bath!!! I am happy for you! :-)
One of my favorite quotes is "success is the sweetest form of revenge." You are living it girl! We love you here in Georgia!
Bethany, You and Jason and Bryn are so precious! I have been a believer of yours since the beginning of NYHW. I just love your show and your little family. This episode was so much fun to see you and Jason reconnects and enjoys each other so much. We are all so proud of you and all your well-deserved success! Congratulations Bethany! Tell Jason he should blog; he is such a great guy he should hear just t how much women appreciate a good man like him.
I loved the episode, too. I just had my first SkinnyGirl margaritas on Saturday so it was really cool to see the bottling process. But the best part was seeing how you wanted to collect snow globes. I think you mentioned that you might do it for Bryn and I wanted to tell you that I started that tradition with my girls. My oldest daughter collects snow globes, my middle daughter Santas, and my youngest snow men. My girls are now 20, 18, and 14 and it's fun to get all of their collectibles out at Christmastime and reminisce about where they came from and who the gift giver was; sometimes they get one from us and one from their grandparents, too. It's something that they'll always have and be able to take with them when they have their own families. Enjoy your vacation!

i loved this episode! i love watching you and your great husband, jason, interact in such genuine and loving ways! i'm afraid that your "housewives" buddies may be a little envious of it all...but, i'm so proud of you mommy and the people you choose to stay with you to support you makes the show laugh out loud never quitting funny! i think you do owe it to jason to join the mile high club though...c'mon bethie!! love loves soing up to you from tennessee/kentucky line...literally...bryn is such the special one...get her some great pics with santa!!! KIMMie
I just want to say that I love watching you and Jason,Gina and Julie. I have been down for the last four years, with illnes, and depression. That I so look forward to your show it makes me laugh for the whole hour. I hate for it to end, then I have think I have to wait 7 more days to watch it again. Jason and Bethenny are a great couple and they are so real and down to earth, that is why I think it is so great. Well maybe because I have the same humor that they have....lol. Keep up the great work, you pick the right man to marry, and you have that beautiful little princess Bryn. She lites you both up and it is great to see how in love you are with her. You change your past, by doing exactly what the both of you are doing. Going great, I would love a day in Jason and Bethenny world for a day.

great show...love them all..laugh so hard and cried too... i love watching the interaction between you and jason. you know that all those other girls are kicking back watching you and all your success in every aspect being soooo envious...can't help but find some humor in it! jason is right, you are going to be such an inspiration for that precious daughter of yours...can't wait to see what she grows up to be!! thanks for bringing some laughter back into my crazy life...i'm feel so much more normal after the one hour show of yours! yay for me! knock em dead bethie! and congrats!!!
Bethenny I've enjoyed all your episode. Congrats on Skinny-girl drink. All it takes is an Idea (Seed)! Thank you and your hubby for good TV. Keep up awesome work.
Jason is right...Bethenny is an amazing role model, but not just to their daughter, but to all women. Bethenny, I hope one day you can embrace all the horrible things that have happened (I am not condoning the terrible things you endured), but they have made you such a strong and amazing person. During tonights episode I realized something...Jill sounds so much like your mother. Neither one "really" wanted to see you succeed, and you should be so proud that you pulled away from that relationship, and you have surrounded yourself with people who genuinly care about you. With regard to your birthday, you need to give yourself a different date, a date that is yours. Take back "your" birthday. You have a family who cares for you now. I have one final piece of advice, and I know it sounds crazy: but you always say you are crazy so you may just be willing to do it. Somehow, find a way to forgive your mother. REMEMBER you are NOT doing it for her, you are doing it for you. Release yourself. You deserve all that you have.
Loved Loved the episode. Need to rekindle Montreal is the place. You and Jason make an awesome team.Must say that little angel of yours is BEAUTIFUL you and Jason make awesome babies. It's about time we had a women in the business..Bethenny you do a fantasic job!Keep doing what you do and you can't fail.......
I really love watching you in NYC and will miss seeing you there but, Beverly Hills is definitely my next favorite city { and my favorite housewives!} LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!!!
Ok so the best times for the Hoppy household are in the bathtub! Love that scene.
But I do wonder why the grampa and gramma Hoppy werent with Bryn when Jason and Bethenny went to Montreal? What a perfect opportunity.
Girl, you crack me up. Just love your show, life and family. Screw your mother she doesn't deserve you!
Two questions:
why do i love this show so much? it's just so great!
and: when is andy cohen going to give sales guy from Scoop Men his own show? Loved!
Why I love Bethenny ever after? Great hour of TV. It is fun, inspiring, relaxing, no one is fighting like teen girls and there is no pretense. Just love, love, love. Keep going!
Bethenny, Thank you again for making me feel like I can do anything with my career. Thank you for making me feel normal even though i know I am not. I am emotional every day and my last birth was 9 years ago!!! But I look at my children, I look at my husband and I look at my career and I think I am so Blessed....and who cares if I am a little "difficult" okay very "difficult". My intentions are good. You are my BFF on Monday nights. No one gets me like you do skinnygirl!!! Thank you for your honesty and opening your heart so publically. Thank you for being so vulnerable! Women, moms and wives like me can feel good about who were because of Women like you. Many Blessings to your family. Bryn is so blessed to have a Mama like you and a Daddy like Jason. Keep Strong DeAnna
Bethenny! So love your show. I lol every time I watch it. You are so funny sincere and beautiful, and lets not forget successful. So glad we will have access to your booze here in Az. Jason is a big score so congrats to you! By the way, Brynn looks just like Jason therefore you will have to have another baby to bring in your gene pool. OXOX PS don't put Cookie in the bathtub, it grosses me out. LOVE YOU GUYS!
LOVE your show Bethenny. Jason is such a good husband. You all look SO HAPPY together. Keep it up :)
Bethenny-I just LOVE,LOVE,LOVE your show ! You and you family is SOooo inspiring. I am homebound due to illness and spend a lot of time alone. You brighten my Mondays. I laugh and cry with you. Yours have to be the best "reality" show on. You remain "Real" or genuine true to yourself. I believe you are right to distance yourself from your mom, but forgive her for the things she did or failed to do that were so hurtful and damaging during you childhood and continue to move on like you are doing.. Remember the "good" that resulted from your struggle to survive to adulthood. You saw what you didn't want to be. You are a Fantastic wife, mother and a wonderful role model for us all. RELAX and enjoy your vacation.
Hey B, Give yourself a real big pat on the back!. B (sorry, but hate always spelling out your name :), You and you only did this because, you are real, kind and sweet. Believe me I truly believe the good Lord above truly does shine on peeps that are pure of heart, and that is you (nothing wrong with being tough as long as you are coming from a good place). I know you dont care about what I'm going to say but, I want viewers to read this, This is what make people like Jill Zarin and Kelly B. sooo ugly in our eyes, all they want to do is sneak and conive and just worry about themselves- You B care about alot of people around you and it shows because you are not fake and that why we here just love ya...And it does help a little that you married a good boy from here in Pa. THANKS FOR BEING YOU!!!
OK. Last nights show did it. I totally love your show, your family, your willpower and determination. I'd be proud to be your mother. If you're ever in Myrtle Beach(the #1 beach in America), I'll be your #1 fan. I'm going to buy some Skinny Girl today for a party this weekend.
Congratulations and may God continue to bless you, Jason and Bryn.
Bethenny, I have a question. Does it irritate you that Jason calls you Mama? Because it irritates me. I mean, you do have a name and you are Bryn's mom not his.
Bethenny, I didn't hear Jason say one time his favorite quote "I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS MY LIFE" loved the whole episode I smile, laugh,I'am so proud of you and Jason love the part when you told hazelton not to worry.
I loved the part in last nights show where you and Jason did the old Laverne and Shirley antics...brought back some fond memories. Glad you have been able to see a toxic relationship when you see one and pull yourself and those you love away. You seem to be living a dream and congrates to you. Keepin' it real keeps me watching. Love the bathie time that you spend with just you three ( and all the viewers..lol) I cracked up when I saw Cookie in the tub with sunglasses on!!
I laugh, I cry, I rejoice. You are truely an amazine young woman. The show is real life caught on camera. It is a mix of Smile your on Candid Camera, I love Lucy, and Lavern and shirly. I am referring to your show as I love Bethenny. Everyone know exactly what show I am referring to.
Hi Bethenny, That scene of the ur bottles OMG! That was emocional for me too. I too have a dream to bottle my Sangria here in Puerto Rico. My friends love it and keep telling me to bottle it. Honestly, I have no idea how to. I just make it and sell it if I can. I make it for parties, weddings etc. usually as a gift to my friends. Jason adores u and is so proud of your sucess. Have exactly what u always wanted a family and friends, positive friends of course, that love u and take care of u and urs. Last summer I went to NY and bought ur SkinnyGirl Margarita, luv it. I wanna taste ur Sangria, Is it out yet? This summer back to NY hope to get some!
Bethenny - I have been enjoying your show, but last night's episode has me upset, to say the least. I applaud you for coming up with SkinneyGirl, however, I was shocked to see that you are packaging it outside of the United States. Surely you are aware of the job situation in your own country!
Bethenny!! I have always loved you on your shows. I watch anything and everything you are on. You are terrific.
My husband and I went out one night and on our way home we stopped at a local store to see if your products were sold there. My husband actually helped me look for them. He asked the clerk if they sold it and low and behold, they did. We bought some and thought it was pretty good. I think I liked it more than he did, however. It may have been too low key for him...oh, well.
Just wondering if you are planning on expanding your products soon. Our store only had the margarita. I'm hoping for any new ones maybe without tequilla. I've found that my stomach doesn't tolerate tequilla like it used to. I don't even need to drink but a little and I start to feel it.
That being said, I want to try any and all of your drinks. Keep up the good work and have a ball. Love your family, they are beautiful.
Your friend in KS, Alicia
ADORE THIS SHOW (AND YOU!) I have NEVER posted a comment on a show but after last night episode, I had to. I absolutely adore your family. You guys and soooo funny and real. You, Bethanny are truly a gem. You were my favorite on RHONY (stopped watching when you left). Brynn is too cute for words!! And I'm sure you know, Jason is HOT!!!! LOL. You are a wonderful person (crazy, but WONDERFUL, LOL)! Can't wait for Monday nights. I know I will be smiling and laughing out loud for at least an hour! Keep it up and bless you all!
I just finished A Place of Yes. You are incredibly insightful and smart but I must add lucky to that. I hope you realized how many people out there have alot of talent and never get to realize their dreams. It's a combination of right place, right time and right people. You've got it all. Enjoy it! But I must add, that you are certainly deserving of time away but you have to think about your child also. Should an emergency arise, your baby nurse has no legal rights to take care of her-you have got to get that covered-and why not the grandparents? They are flesh and blood-as you mature you will see the wisdom in that. Best of Luck
Bethenny-yes I was a fan, but you are slowly wearing Jason down to a lap dog. He is the sweetest guy and has a lot of common sense. You have a great personality and the quickest wit on TV, but after watching an hour of you, it sometimes comes off as if Jason is there for the "picking" and your show is becoming a Skinnygirl info-mercial...Don't sell Jason short and don't sell out!
Bethenny, I don't know how you manage to be brilliant and crazy at the same time, but it's lots of fun to watch!! By the way, my mother, who is the hostess with the mostess, would agree with you, NO FOLDING TABLE!!! Congratulations on a great show!!!
This is truly a good hour of TV...in the land of reality shows, yours is the best. I sit there with a huge smile or find myself laughing and crying with you. I'm amazed at your opening your life so fully to your audience, and allowing us to see how your life is unfolding. It must be incredibily hard, but thank you...you are bringing a lot of joy to people.
Bethenny, Your face when Jason asked about the mile high club was friggen' priceless! By the way, no, sadly, I am not a member. I continue to love your show (life) and my husband and I laugh OUT LOUD each time we watch it. Plus, I cry a bit, too. My husband and Jason are soooo much alike and my husband says I am exactly like you. Love the show! Enjoy your vacation!
Love your business savi, brain and style with a killer will power this is the reason I am your fan. You go Girl!!!!!!!!
Bethenny, I can't really tell you how much I admire you and look forward to your show each week. There are NO words. . .you're incredible. I so enjoy watching you and Jason with Bryn; after the Birthday Bath scene I'm thinking you need to close each show with new bathtub outtakes:) ! The Montreal show was fantastic--go back some time and vacation in Quebec, too--stay at the magnificent Chateau Frontenac and ride the funicula! (No, I'm not Canadian, but I do know a great vacation!) Blessings to you and the whole team, including Julie, Gina and darling Shawn (gotta see more of him)! And I loved the idea above of picking another day to celebrate *your* birthday--one with no connection to the past! Reinvent--you do it so well! Kisses to Bryn AND Cookie!
B!!!!
First of all, as the very proud mother of two beautiful girls (10 and 6) I have never thought anyone's baby was as cute as my own....but, you and Jason did it! That is ONE PRECIOUS BABY! I have to admit, I tune in MOSTLY to see that cutie patootie smile! Secondly, to watch Jason...he absolutely cracks me up and Finally, to see good things happen to you...I certainly don't think of you as the Underdog or someone who needs me to root for her, but I can tell when something great happens you are truly humbled and grateful and I LOVE TO SEE a good person get rewarded in life...so many times, the universe appears to operate in reverse.
Much love and Continued Success (but more Jason and Bryn! :) )
Last nights show was the BEST....loved seeing you have time with your husband in romantic Montreal....loved seeing you enjoy your baby! fabulous!
I have to tell you that I can wait from week to week to see the new episodes of you shows! You guys have the sweetest family ever! i saw your sinny girl in our local liqior store here in ri. So happy for you all! ~XO
Bethenny, You are such an inpiration to all Mother's out there. You know what you want and get it through hard work and dedication. I love the show but even more I love that you are very real in it. Your daughter is a very lucky girl and will grow up knowing just how much you've cherished every day with her. Congrats on your successful business and best wishes on your next adventure!
love love the show ... and so much congrats on all your SUCCESS!!
I enjoyed my Skinny Girl Margarita during your hour last night.
no no ... keep Ramona and Alex away ~
I absolutely loved this episode! It brought tears to my eyes when you and Jason were giving Bryn her bath. Soooo sweet! Those moments are too precious for words. She is a beautiful baby girl and is so blessed to have wonderful parents and grandparents. You and Jason balance out each other so well. Your trip to Montreal was so beautiful. It has made me want to go there for vacation. I was so proud for you and Jason when you saw all of your hard work come to fruition at the bottling factory plant! You go girl!! You are a true inspiration to all women! Thank you for always being you! Never, ever change!

Loved this episode. The folding table. I laughed so hard because my husband and I have had that conversation. You and Jason compliment each other. I do not want the episode to be over when I am watching. I have spent a lot of time in Montreal. It is beautiful. Quebec City is also a beautiful city. Keep doing what you are doing. I love your show. I wish Romona and Alex could join you more often. Keep it up.
