In my webisode Michael and I are full of bitchy banter. What you see is what you get. We are like this 24 / 7.
Every Christmas season I make this amazingly addictive, crunchy, gooey mix of Chex cereal, pecans, brown sugar, and butter. I give it away to our clients and vendors as a way of saying thank you. In years past we've maybe had 25 to 50 gifts, and this year we have over 100 to give away. No pun intended, but it was crunch time to get these out by the end of the week. Michael was to order everything we needed to make the presentation of the gift perfect, and I was to make the mix and bring the scoops to put it together. Unfortunately he forgot to order the raffia and I forgot to bring the scoops. Was it the end of the world? No, but we both had a fun time rubbing it into each other. You see we both are competitive and we both like to be right. I guess that's what you get when you put two Aquarius men together.
Meagan is great, she's our moderator…I can almost hear her say "I hate it when Daddy and Daddy fight." She took charge and pushed forward so we could get the task done without any further b---hy banter. Although Michael and I are competitive and we always like to be right, we do care for each other, and we care for the success of the business. In some odd way our bickering is filled with love. We balance each other out and are truly ying and yang.
I've had some requests for the recipe, so here you go. This is a recipe that's been handed down to me from Michael's sister-in-law Nancy, and when I asked her of its origin she didn't know either. All I know is one handful and you can't put it down! I make it in large batches, and keep it in an airtight container for weeks at a time. It's perfect to have on hand when unexpected guests stop by; put a few bowls of this out and your guests will never leave!
I'm sure the party was fabulous Shawn. Seems like Bethenny is starting to believe her PR. Your contribution was generous and Im looking forward to seeing your handiwork.
I think your pretty good at what you do. So far, all you have done has been very clean and of good taste. The lounge below was a bit of an eye popper. I think the silver lamme seating was a bit over the top, it was only missing some mirrors to become a porn set. Very 70's. Other than this small faux pau, your pretty Fantabulous!
Perhaps the origins of the Chex mix recipe was on the cereal box itself!! This recipe has been modified and tweeked since the 1950's...a suburban housewife's easy-out for entertaining. It is on par with Rice Krispie Treats, I guess a crowd pleaser for some. Your recipe sounds good, cereal box or not.
BRAVO...I am so disappointed that Shawn does not have his own show yet! How does the lady who helps rich women have babies get her own show after one episode on Bethanny yet Shawn who was the best ever still has no show? Thank goodness he is finally back on TV! I know I am only one of many who would love to see him each week if not every day! He is his own show!! Shawn you are hilarious and such a positive energy!
I am enjoying watching your videos. Loved the clip with Max--it will be interesting to see how he works out as your assistant. And thanks for the recipe.
Shawn, I applaud you in getting PR, so both you and Bethenny are both getting something not just Bethhenny. She is smart, this is what I admire about her. I think since you have a business of your own, you should make sure you keep a certain standard. I have seen you on a show for planning weddings. You seemed to be really in control and on top of your game and with Bethenny you seem to be like you just starting out and need to prove something. I guess you must do what you have to, but just don't let the show belittle you as a person.
Shawn, So glad that you are back! Love watching you. I am also really happy to see Max back, as I don't think that he did such a bad job. I agree it was a little over the top about the condom situation with Jason, but his position with Bethanny really had no boundaries. Don't get wrong, I love Bethenny and admire her a great deal, but disagree with the decision regarding Max. Love, Love, Love you.
Roos mom: I AGREE!!!!! Bravo why is Shawn not having his own show??? Why? Good Lord. Do you realize what a gem you have in him? Everyone in SoCal loves you Shawn. You are the real deal and you are hiiiiilarious. I think you may be my favorite Bravo Star. Yep.... You are.
Shawn is not all that, Rosie is adorable and that show is a totally new, original direction. Shawn would be more "formula". After all, look how he titled this blog: "A Place Of Party". That's a take-off on Bethenny's title of her new book. that is not original. He is better as a wing man. Plus, all those wedding and event planning shows...a dime a dozen. I'm for Rosie! GO ROSIE POPE!
You ARE my favorite BRAVO star! Love Bethanny and you guys are great together but adore you and your humor! East coast needs more people like you! Come to DC, do the parties and weddings and social events for the elite here! I'm changing my name to Luv Me Some Shawn Too!
Shawn, Thank you for the recipe...cannot wait to try it! Good luck on the show...maybe it will lead to a spin off of your own show.
Shawn, Good luck with Max as your new asst. Did you see his eyes glaze over when you were giving him instructions? It made me nervous when he did not ask questions... or, at least repeat back to you what he thought you wanted him to accomplish: 1) Contact DJ for music--like who? 2) Cake-any suggestions? 3) fabric store--check out white organza...samples & cost etc. Oh well...maybe he has a photographic memory I got the feeling it was more like he was pretending he got it...but, he was going to wing it CYA Maybe you need to e-mail him what you expect him to do.
Max? Really? I thought he got canned? Errrrrr!!! I can so see Shawn firing him. Can't wait to see what all he DOESN'T do to help with B's party. Love those faces you make Shawn. You know, the ones you make when Bethanny comes up with her off the wall and sometimes inappropriate 'lil quotes.
