- Bethenny Ever After: Season 2
While Jason and Bethenny soaked up the sun in the Caribbean, Julie and I were up in the city freezing our asses off. With the wedding shenanigans finally over, it was a nice, slow week in the office to decompress. It also gave me and Julie some time to get to know eachother on a more personal level. We only spend time together in the office and rarely get a chance to speak about non-work topics. We went for a drink one afternoon after finishing up some light office work. She's great! She really loves Bethenny. She spoke all about the ups and downs and the good times and the bad she's had working with Bethenny. And boy there were a lot! But wherever Julie goes, from here on out, it's obvious she's learned irreplaceable life skills from working for her.
Who knows where Shawn was at this point in time, but I would have loved to see what he was doing the week after the wedding. After four weeks of Bethenny constantly up his ass, I wouldn't be surprised if he was cuddled away in a dark hole crying, I wouldn't be surprised if he went to Vegas and went bonkers, and I wouldn't be surprised if he checked himself into a mental institution. But just as I said about Julie, I'm sure Shawn learned a lot about himself after dealing with and delivering for Bridezilla.
As for me, I guess I'm still waiting for my opportunity to prove my worth to Bethenny. I run around a lot and pick up her various personal items (which I know is important), but I'm looking for something to happen that makes Bethenny think, "Wow, this kid is irreplaceable." Maybe my role as her assistant doesn’t involve me wowing her. I think it is more about being consistent. Calling the cars on time, being prompt with my errand running, and being a dependable go-to guy is what the job entails. I'm also learning that my role is elastic and can constantly change. Sometimes all Bethenny needs me to do is make her laugh, too! I'm a person who is rarely satisfied with my personal performance, whether it was on the football field, with my friendships, or as Bethenny's assistant. I'm constantly looking for ways to improve how I operate, and my approach is that I can always get better.
I hope we enjoyed our light week, because it's crunch time once again and the baby is ready to say hello to the world!
Hey Max,
LOVE LOVE you on the show, your a breath of fresh air, so down to earth, naturally FUNNY, shy an so Sweet..
Umm,Btw can that Dee Pittsburgh person get anymore Creepy?
Sheesh..

Hey Max,
just remember who the star of the show is. The world is full of cute guys. What it takes to get noticed is a personality. You seem desperate to be funny and get some attention.
Max , you make laugh so hard!
Max,
I don't think that you were making fun of Shawn. Who ever thinks that is over sensitive and doesn't get that Max is just relating his experiences to Shawn. You are funny and keep on grinding with Bethenny.
Max,
Your speculations about Shaawn were so wrong. He wasn't crying anyhwere!! In fact he was enjoying a lovely vacations with his partner Michael. Did you think the mental institution comment was funny? Well, it was not. That is not something to joke about. I doubt very much that Shawn learned anything from Bethenney. The best thing about "wedding shenanigans" as you refered to it is the fact that Shawn has star quality and he never lost who he was as a person.I think you better talk about yourself in your blog, because you dissed Shawn and that sucks.
I hope this note is approved. I enjoyed watching you and Shawn interact with Bethany (and of course her new husband). It had to be stressful. But hey good luck!!!!!
I love B n her show Iam happy for her n Jason with the new journey as a family keep doing lk this and good luck for all including Max and Julie God bless them
Max ur sooo funny i literlly lmao in the episode where u were inpersonating bethany!!! And in the episode where u asked Bethany if her generation grinds!!! Ur also GREAT at ur job!(One of my teacher's last-name wuz Meisel 2!)And ur cute
Your doing a great job! Keep it up!
Max, honey you be proud of yourself. You have done a fabulous job.. I'm sure B appreciates you and she is probably already thinking that you are irreplacable!! Gotta tell, the best work I've seen yet was you encouraging B to get up and mingle at the engagement that she was speaking at. Yea, the car should have been waiting, but I look at it like you didn't know how long it would last, and B obviously hadn't told you to have it waiting. Why didn't the driver just wait outside.. she was the guest speaker, right? Anyway, we all live and learn, right? It's very cool that you have been given this opportunity, so live it up and enjoy!! Good luck to you, I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of you in the future!
Hi Max,
I'm glad to hear that you and Julie got a chance to get to know each other better when Bethenny and Jason were on their honeymoon. You probably got a better handle of what exactly the job included, since it seemed like you were pretty much thrown into your duties. Although you appeared very comfortable even though you probably were nervous as heck (as we all are when starting a new position). But I feel you really got lucky Max with this job and can really learn so much from Bethenny. She says it as it is...and I for one love that about her. She gets right to the point whether it hurts your feelings or not. But that is what impresses me about her. I never cared for bullcrap people. I know this sounds corny but honesty is the best policy right? So stick with her Max and absorb as much business info you can...you will be all the better for it. And I just want to say that I happen to love your hair and it doesn't make you look gay. My son wears his hair similar and he isn't gay either....unless his fiance, isn't telling me something. So don't change a thing about you. Your a doll.
Hey Max-all did a great job completing an absolutely fabulous wedding in 4 weeks! We all saw how over taxed Bethenny was - that's why she needs help from you & Julie-her best days are ahead of her. Shawn has to be enjoying large, perfect martinis toasting his competent work and eventually answering the non stop ringing phones! Hopefully his business launched to a new level when everyone saw the solid work quality he delivered! Take time to walk in B. shoes before making a comment about her. There's a lot that's gone on that she's allowed us all to see as she's climbed that ladder of success on her own. She's endured a LOT of negative from some of the housewives. She has had to earn ALL the positive happenings coming into her life. All the best to the expanding family!
Goot to know you and julie had a relaxed, quality time!! Yes, I wanted to know how Shawn spent his time after the hectic, but gorgeous wedding!!
Max, you are an intern, right? I'll be sad if you move on after the term finishes.....whether you stay with B or not, your future will be bright! and the experience with B will be priceless, for sure!!
You'll do great because you already know what must be done to be a step in front of her. A baby, in the beginning, can be quite stressful until they're on the correct formular and sleep patterns so if Beth's a little cranky, that's the reason: no sleep.
Good thing you weren't with Jason and Beth because you know who would have had to pick up Icky's poop! lol
Hi 'Elastic Max'!
I got the 'elastic' from your blog above, and had to give a little laugh when I read it because with Bethenny as your boss, you most definitely will need to be flexible!
I just wanted to say what a wonderful edition you are to the show, and to Bethenny's life, and I look forward to seeing more of you- on what has become my favorite show to watch on t.v.
You are great because you seem kind, intelligent, and honest... as do Bethenny and Jason.
I never laughed so hard.:) The hot pepper.. JUST LOVED IT!
Max, so sorry we didn't get to see you this episode, but so glad to hear you and Julie got a chance to bond.
All in all, especially considering the time-frame and the condition of the bride, I'd say you all had a fairly "normal" experience with B. I've worked with someone like B and it is an overwhelming challenge sometimes. To anticipate and meet the needs of someone so driven with so many irons in the fire is frightening, to say the least.
Most importantly, it became an accomplishment in the end.
I was so upset when I didn't see Max at the wedding. I was afraid that he had already gotten fired. So was he there or behind the scenes?
Stick with it Max, Bethenny will see your worth. She too started with nothing and look at her now.
Mazel Tov to Bethenny and Jason. They will be great parents.
I love love love this show. I laugh and cry in the same episode. Bethany is the daughter any mother would want. I am so happy to have experienced her journey with her.
