- Bethenny Ever After: Season 2
The first moments of this week's episode had me crying! Could the moment of Bethenny telling Jason's parents the baby's name be any more beautiful? I am trying to put it into words which I am never short of and I actually can't. What an amazing way to honor Jason's brother! Giving Carol and Bob a granddaughter is one thing, honoring the baby with their lost son's name is a priceless, beautiful gift. I can't believe I am going to say this, but that moment…it kind of blows the wedding out of the water! And, I'm OK with that.
I've always heard having a baby changes a person. Nothing could be more accurate when it comes to Bethenny. As Jason said she is so nurturing, kind and sweet now that she has baby Bryn. And I think the birth of Bryn has made Jason much more caring and protective. The reality of the situation is it's not just Jason and Bethenny anymore. There's a baby involved that is so innocent, tiny and beautiful.
I was lucky enough to find all this out first hand! Shortly after Bryn's birth I received an email from Bethenny asking if I would like to help plan and design the baby shower. I was like, are you kidding me?! Did the planets and stars align and I wasn't told? Seriously?! This could mean only one thing…I regained Bethenny's trust! Let's face it, after threats of ripping my anatomy apart and coming way to close to certain parts of her anatomy, I think we finally understood each other. She understood my style and I understood her expectations. And planning this baby shower would be no different than planning the wedding, all the same expectations would apply.
Going over to see Bethenny (and Cookie) I was no longer nervous like I was when planning the wedding. OK, that's not entirely true. I would be lying if I said otherwise. I wasn't nervous to see Bethenny or Bryn. I was however, nervous to see Cookie. I'm not sure what it is, but that dog terrifies every piece of my being! I thought bringing a little treat would help…it did, for 2.5 seconds. In Cookie's mind she was probably like, "Thanks for the treat…Sucker!" In my mind I was like…progress. Hell, only time will tell with that one. Bring a treat when entering and leave quietly while exiting and no one gets hurt.
I am so so happy to see you!!!!!! I love your blogs soooo much!!!! Bethenny is lucky to have you as a planner and a friend. Your one in a million and I can only imagine how lucky your partner feels to have you in his life. Your a natural with children. I could tell Bryn felt very safe and secure in your arms. I so hope Bravo never lets you go!!! Best wishes to you... Debbie
Shawn: we all are a bunch of crying nutballs! Very sweet blog and I think Bethenny truly views you as the expert and new friend that you are. You are great at handling Cookie ... I think Cookie needs doggie meds or Cesar Milan ...
Shawn we are so happy to have you back and planning a baby shower for Bethenny. I would love to see you as a regular on Bravo or perhaps assiting Bethenny, sorry Max you are sweet, but you just don't have what it takes to be an assistant to Bethanny. Time to move on.
Shawn it was so good to see you back on the show. This is a wonderful show and I am so glad that you see Bethenny as the great person that she is. She is an inspiration to all of the women out there that think they can't have it all. I know the baby shower will be fantastic. You did such a beautiful job on the wedding and I can tell that Bethenny does trust you and you have a great deal of respect for her. Welcome back you are a great guy.
Aw, Shawn......I was so hoppy to see you in tonight's show......I thought you were long gone. So hoppy I was wrong about that. Really looking forward to next week and one more of your blogs.
When Jason met Bethenny, there was a mention of a stick .....I think Bryn removed that stick and Robert Verdi found it! LOL
I think you are great at what you do and because it is so personal you can't help but to get attached to some of youe clients! Your face when Bethenny walked toward Jason at the alter was priceless! I'm sure the baby shower will be just as beautiful and I hope you are getting a lot of biz from this, because you deserve it !!!!..... and you killed me with the "cooch-a-looch" and the "Cujo" lines!
I wanna marry my husband again just so I could meet you - You are truly such a class act with a kind heart to boot. Your partner is very lucky :-)
Thanks for the Mom shout out- it's great to be appreciated. Your Mama did a fantastic job with you. Can't wait to see the shower next week. I am hosting a baby shower this weekend and the Mom to be makes Bethenny look down right like a shy country mouse- Pray for me to get the Red Velvet cupcakes right!! I hope Bethenny has a place to keep you in her life. You are a great example of a class act & remember money can't buy you class (only ass)
Shawn, You are one of the positive good people Bethenney has surrounded herself with! I think only good will come of it!
Your Fan
Shawn..you are so funny!! But I can't blame you for being a bit afraid of Cujo...did you see the baring of the teeth as you were leaving? You surely are good at what you do. The wedding was spectacular, and who pulls something like that together in a matter of weeks? You are amazing, but a really likeable person..and I'm glad to see more of you on her show.
Shawn: What you pulled off for the wedding was beyond fabulous! I love this show and what you add is great: very funny and sweet with Bethenny!! She needs another great sidekick and you fit the bill. It is so nice to see her laughing after what she put up with last year on RHWNY....Love it!!!
I was so happy to see you again in this episode!! You're so sweet and you have so much talent!!
Hello Bravo...do not lose this guy because another network is going to scoop him up!
So glad to see your doing to baby shower also. I love the dynamic of yours & Bethannys relationship. I think they should do one on you & Cookie. You could call in Cesar Milan. lol.
I wish you nothing but the best in your career & I genuinely hope to see more of you on Bravo. Your witty, catty, funny, sweet & all the other things that can make for great tv. You give good sound byte.
Sean...You are so great, funny and talented. The wedding was beautiful! I hope you continue on the show...Bethenny HAS to come up with more parties for you to plan.
My Mom use to say that dogs are good judges of character but I think Cookie was asleep the day they handed out that "power"...Good Luck with her.
Shawn, you are totally adorable and I was so happy to see you again on the show last night! You have a great work ethic and a lot of class... I am glad that you are not fueling the drama with the Robert Verdi situation, but let me tell you, it was sad to see that someone I previously admired, is a very bitter, mean person.. how disappointing...Can't wait to see the baby shower next week! Love you! :)
If I say it once, I'll say it one thousand times (open your ears Andy Cohen): YOU NEED YOU'RE OWN SHOW.
Loves ya.
Also, did anyone else notice Shawn is like the angel in white on Bethenny's shoulder and Robert is flaming red on the other one.
Shawn,I'am crying ,laughing reading your blog you and cookie aka cujo are so cute interacting with each other and Bethenny saying don't trust cookie because you gave him a treat was so funny. I think he can smell the scent of your dogs on you and that triggers him I hope.
What a sweet blog. You seem to take everything in stride and it's appreciated by the viewer. Good work.
Shawn .... you are a great addition to this new positive show ..... your facial expresions are priceless and who holds a bucket for a chic to pee in what a great guy you are I wish you success ...YOU DESERVE IT!!!!
Shawn, You are just a joy to watch. You're so patient and it seems you don't have a mean bone in your body. Very sweet blog - I can't wait to see what you did for the baby shower!
You are the nicest man and do amazing work! And, because I never listened to my mom like you are doing I will say it for you... Mr. Verdi is an arrogant pig.
My respect and admiration for you grows with each episode and blog you post! I hope all of this translates into wonderful things for you.
Shawn, you are a wonderful addition to the world of reality television. It is great to see how sensitive you are to your clients even when things are very challenging. You are so talented and so nice. Bravo should give you your own show!
I don't usually write on blogs, but please Andy Cohen, Bravo entertainment staff, get this man his own show. He is wonderful! What an asset he would be to your line up.
Shawn, you are fabulous. Hoping to see more of you!
Please tell me that you will be on the next season again, you don't need to say anything, just to look to your expressions already makes me laugh. we need to see you more on the show.
I think you are priceless. A terrific addition to the show! I actually have been involved in the floral business and specifically event floral and set up a bit in my life.
I have met event planners that were just awful and honestly still had the bride all bridezillad out by the end. It actually seemed like you relieved her of some of the zilla (by taking it on yourself of course lol) but you did a FANTASTIC JOB. You also handled Bethenny brilliantly.
As another poster said, your facial expressions are priceless. You are just soooooo sweet.
Lastly what you did here at the end of your blog in regards to Max and Mr. A-hole was just wonderful. I loved the way you addressed it while refusing to sink to his level. That is such a new thing in Bravo blogs, such a sorely needed new thing. I will say it though, for being a "queen" that guy is way too close to "chuckies" by being such a douche!!!
Perhaps I am wrong, but who in the heck plans their own baby shower? I was under the impression that a baby shower was to be given by the closest friends or family members of the Mother.
Shawn, I laughed hysterically at the shot as you were leaving of Cookie under the table with that demonic look in her eyes! She looked like a pint-sized Cujo! You are the dearest sweetest man, and so funny. I'll miss you when the season ends.
I have to say I get quite a kick out of yours and Cookie's interactions. So funny. :) Hopefully someday she will accept you! I think dogs can sense fear in people....that's probably the deal.
Seriously, you were such a good sport during the wedding planning. I felt sorry for you. I love Bethenny, but she was a demanding client. The wedding was beautiful!
Shawn,
You are simply fabulous! You did an amazing job with the wedding and I'm sure the baby shower will be just as grand.
As for Cookie...her breed of dog is just like that very, very territorial and she can sense your trepidation towards her. Just keep bringing her treats and she'll warm up to you!
I too hope you are getting a ton of business from the exposure on the show, you deserve it!
BTW...what was the name of the Cake Shop you got the wedding cake from? I can't remember. Do you know if they have a website?
Hi Shawn:
No doubt about it you and a angel, so caring, attentive and able to use great restraint in dealing with your clients, and in this case, Bethenny.
Giving birth creates such a euphoria that is impossible to imagine. You have witnessed this with Bethenny and she has blossomed as a new mother. She is an incredible new mother.
Watching this season has clarified to me that you are a truly wonderful man and go completely out of your way to make whatever event that you plan ..... a unique extraordinary occasion. Continued success on your outstanding efforts. It is certain that your clients are always pleased by your diligent endeavors.
Little Bryn looked quite comfortable in your arms as you glanced at her with" warm fuzzies" in your heart.
Wish we could see more of you, BRAVO, are you listening?

That was so beautiful Shawn! You are so funny and I love your animated expressions, like I feel your pain when you refer to anatomical annihilation and you really do have just the sweetest heart. Love what you did for the wedding and can't wait to see the baby shower! Bethenny beta count her lucky stars for nabbing you!
You are so entertaining to watch and did a great job for the wedding.
I remember Robert Verdi back in the day when he was just getting started decorating spaces for HGTV. My, what a little success can do for you. I was very disappointed in his arrogang attitude. Actually, I was shocked how much he seems to have changed. Shame on him. In the meantime, stay as you are...it is refreshing.
Shawn, you are so awesome, you nailed it all on the head about babies and how if changes people. You holding that lil baby was priceless, you could tell by looking you loved every minute of it. Love you and your wonderful ways.
Shawn, you are a dear sweet and talented man. I love watching you on the show and much success in your endeavors. You so deserve it! You and B are cute working together and I hope to see you on more shows.
Shawn, I like the idea of a shower, however it is not approriate for Bethenney to give herself one. What you should be planning is a baptism party or something along those lines depending on their faiths. Showers are given by friends. I gave my sister a wedding shower, and my cousin a baby shower. I never gave myself a shower. I think another type of event would be better. SHowers occure before the child is born. Don't be part of something that is not going to seem right. My suggestion is to scrap the shower and go for just a come see our baby party.
I know this seems sudden. but I may just love you. Excellent blog. You are a great part of this show!
YOU are fabulous!! I was so glad to see you back. Maybe if the show is renewed you will be an official 'event' planner for Betheny and Jason and we'll see lots from you. You're great and what a fabulous wedding you planned. Beautiful. Bravo ;~)
Dear Shawn-You are a very sweet and forgiving man! Honestly, that dog (cookie) needs Training - people should not be afraid to come in and out of the house.
FABULOUS YOU TOO! Sean, give yourself more credit! YOU are FABULOUS too! you not only do your job well, your interaction with Bethenny has been more than just a 'challenge' I would say! she is very 'high maintinance' as we all know & you manage to get past & around that just fine, kudos to you! you & cookie, oh dear, oh my dear, she's just got it in for YOU! too bad she doesn't go after Max like that....I don't like him, he's NOT suited for that job, he's way too FULL OF HIMSELF, thinks the job is nothing but a 'party'....need I go on? she needs someone there for her & with her, not with & for himself. I love your style & your grace, your patience & reserve, you are one fine gentlman & I love you dearly ....... I am a true FAN of this show & Bethenny, you guys make a great show I can't tell you how much joy it brings to me just such a pleasure to watch! I wish the best for you & good luck with the baby shower!
Shawn, You are the best! What a sincere, kind man. I just love your actions and reactions to Bethenny's personality and wit. Last night, I was hysterical with you at the apartment and anticipating Cookie's next move. I just know she will end up loving you----keep those treats coming. We love you Shawn--Bravo, keep this guy around!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're so great! I hope you get your own show.
