They Make Me Want to Be a Better Person

Skylab seems to be getting off to a slow start for a mulitude of reasons and Jackie is not happy. Sometimes we all need a little tongue lashing and that's exactly what Jackie gave us.

Jackie's yoga session was a bust -- you really have to want to do it and be willing to relax your mind. With everything going on throughout Sky Sport and with Doug's illness there is no way I would be able to totally disconnect. Jackie should try again at another time, I love yoga.

Hello Andre,
I haven't been watching the show for long but from what I can see abt your client is that she's finding everything but the right thing to do. Come on I wnt to see you get a lil tougher with her. Because if she doesn't wnt it then she nds to step aside and let me get in. I just get soo upset to see that type of opportunity go to waste. The same for Gregg. As trainers you can only do so much; it's really up to the individual to really wnt it and go for it. Not for you, not for Jackie, and not for t.v., but they have got to wnt it for themselves. Because I personally can use the training. Anyway keep up the good work.

I agree that it may not have been the best time to do a weigh-in. In all fairness, should a body fat "test" have been done? Had enough time elapsed for the Skylabers to be gaining body mass and losing the fat?

Hey...I love you on the show. I wish they would include you in a subplot or focus more on your life on the show. I love Jackie of course, but I would like to see what's happening in your world. The show is really interesting and I mostly watch it to get workout tips and I try to tune out Jesse when he gets to complaining..but you always seem happy and upbeat and offer a hilarious perspective of what's going on in the GYM!

I think your great and such a strong person... Keep it up and remain positive.

Dre - I don't think Kiki not showing up is any relfection on you. You can only help the willing. You're not there at home when she chooses waffles over protein shakes.
You're slowing becoming my favorite - keep up the good work!

Hi Andre,

I'm glad that the Skylab get-together had an effect on you and made you want to be a better person. I was skinny when I was a kid but my dad always told me I was fat. So I grew up with a fat image and never knew or appreciated my body. I didn't take care of my body because I figured it was already not worth it. Now that I really am fat, I'm struggling to let go of the need to 'stuff' my feelings by binging.

I don't think people realize that what they say to other people, (especially parents to children) can have such far-reaching effects. Both positive and negative.

I've been working out during the commercials of the show and last night was really horrified to find out how difficult it was for me to do 10 leg lifts. I'm really out of shape and I feel miserable. I think I'm pretty but it's taken me a long time to feel that way. I also know that I could look a lot better if I got in shape.

If I lived by Sky Sport I would have joined by now!! I need to lose more than 100 pounds and it seems so impossible. But I'm trying to break that into smaller sections so it doesn't get too discouraging. I'm hoping to make some real progress this year. The show is really inspiring. :) Thanks for doing what you do.

I can really relate to the Skylabers. I got really emotional watching that part of the show. For me, that was hard because I don't like to show my emotions cause it makes me vulnerable. I like to be in control of myself at all times. I never knew that my feelings on certain subjects had any effect on the way I eat.

Now that I know, I'm going to start making some changes in my life. Instead of bottling up my emotions, I'll write them down and get it off my chest. I know for a fact, that I'm my own worst critic. Nothing I ever do is good enough. I could get straight A's in college, I'd find something about it that was wrong. That's just how I am.

Well, it'd be nice to have someone to talk to about these kinds of things. I don't want to talk to my family for certain reasons. So if you want, you can e-mail me at vnc_clmn@yahoo.com

Andre,
What can I say. You are great and bring a certain level of liveliness to the show opposite Rebecca of course! Your facial expressions show the way you feel about everything! I, like others would like to see a little more focus on you and what's going on in your world on the show. Your work out tips on the website are great. Thanks a bunch. I won't be able to keep my girlish figure if I keep watching you. You are definite eye candy and we all know too much candy is not good for you!

Hey Dre,
It's me again. Love that facial expression you are wearing in the last picture of this post. Priceless! I love trying to guess what you're thinking judging from your facial expressions. I'm with you on the splashing issue....splash me and I'll splash you back!! She had just said how juvenile he was acting and blah, blah, blah.....then splash. She was totally out of line by doing then. Overall I think Jesse handled it very well. I'd of been across that table and on that a%* in a minute! Then for Jackie to say she will protect her and this and that.....that made me upset. Jackie didn't see the incident so she shouldn't be taking sides. That's where the conflict is coming into play with being lovers with a co-worker....she's taking sides instead of being open to both people. As for KiKi.....I don't think Jackie can fault you or ride you for her not showing up. There doesn't seem like there was anything that you could of done differently to of made her show up. It seems to me as Kiki doesn't want it as bad as she should. Had I been given the opportunity to participate I would of been there with bells on and my weigh in would of been right on point (a huge loss). If you motivate and intrigue me via tv I can only imagine how you could effect me in person with live contact..........

Keep doin' you. Holla at ya girl....

Aha! I'm catching your little foreshadowing about Gregg.
Last week I thought I noticed that he wasn't listed as a trainer at skysportspa.com, but now he is (again?). His photo is different than the rest of the trainers in the cast, though. It isn't all white.
Hmmm.....
I think you are great, Andre. You seem wise.

Andre, You are one of my favorite people on the show. I am a Navy Nurse retiree and I love to hear of others who served - especially Navy or Marines. I'm still not clear which branch you were in or did you jump ship and go over to the Marines? I've known many others who followed that path. As for the show, I find you to be one of the more emotionally honest people in the group. And please tell me how you can be held responsible for Kiki not showing up at the retreat. I don't know how you guys do it - Jackie is way too much of a micro-manager to suit me. So many power and control issues and she is always going to come out on top because it's her gym and her philosophy. That's fine as long as everyone buys into the philosophy. But you really nailed it when you said that she is way too involved in the process. If she were capable of empowering her employees, then she could concentrate on the big picture. It's all about trust. I absolutely can't believe that Jackie thinks it OK to date Rebecca and then turn around and be the boss. Ever hear of fraternization??? Hang in there Dre. You're my main man!

Hey Andre,
You're doing a great job with your clients. Remember that you are truly a wonderful person inside and out. The one thing that I admire most about you is that you're the one that is never in the middle of all the drama. You seem to know who you are and I can appreciate that. I would really like to receive some tips from you on my lower body. How do I go about getting this info?

Thanks! Melissa Cayanna Haubert- Atlanta, GA

Tryce, thanks for your support we can only do so much as trainers. Tia I think Jackie just wanted to stick to her program with the weigh in. I thought we could have used a little more time. Evita, it would be great if I got more air time but there is 7 of us and I am not one to cause problems or drama. Thanks for watching AVK. Trish you are awesome, I really appreciate the love. Chrissy, what ever you decide to stick to stick to it, 10 mins of cardio 10 leg lifts or whatever else it means something. I am glad the show movtivates you. Mishka, glad you have been affected by the show I try to learn something everday to make me a better person and opening up is something I am working on lets grow together with this.
