Sir Tim Meets the Press

Last night we had a blast on the set of "Watch What Happens" with Sir Tim Gunn and later'd designer Erik Kolacz. How could we have less than a blast with Tim in the house? Check it out for yourself!

I had dressed UP (in a suit) for Sir Tim, who is usually in a suit himself. Tim dressed DOWN (in jeans and turtleneck) for me, the one usually in jeans. It was upside down day and I would say that we discussed the variables involved in that reverse-dressing hijinx on four occasions last night for :45 each time, one of which was on the show, all to perhaps no one's amusement but our own.

Now would be a good place for me to remind you, and for you to remind your friends who are amazing designers, that we're currently casting Runway Season 4. We are looking for REAL TALENT, so if you have what it takes go HERE to find out more!

Fantastic show last night Andy! I've become a full blown WWH addict. This show seriously needs to be migrated to a live TV broadcast on Bravo.

Tim was spot on as usual and he really let loose on Vincent!

Erik with a "K" is just a great guy, good sport and talented designer. Was sorry to see him go but hope he takes Tim up on his offer to judge at the PR4 auditions in Chicago.

We want more WWH!

This is a bit off-topic but I'll post anyway. By the way, I love Watch What Happens. I wish the archived page was a bit smoother to scroll through.

Anyway, I just finished trying to watch Part I & II of Ilan & Marcel from Top Chef. Andy, was Marcel drunk, stoned, whatever??

Marcel is definitely a love-hate type person for me. I feel he was ganged up on unfairly by other chefs. It seemed like he was that one friend that everyone started talking about behind his back until the point that even the most minor things, like justifiably asking people to make sure the fridge is closed, piss everyone off.

I was surprised Ilan beat him. Obviously we couldn't taste the food but what inventiveness did Ilan show?

Boy, on the Watch What Happens, it's like Marcel is in another world. Fly boy needs to stay at home when Marcel goes out. It's not helping his cause any. I can understand being bitter over it, but to show up talking like you have some Jaegerbombs in you, isn't the way to show you would've been deserving of the title.

(Of course I thinK Sam got the royal shaft through it all but that's another post.)

Loved last nights'"WWH." There should be an Emmy for online talk shows. If there was you'd win. You ask all the questions we want answers to. You're one of us Andy, only a little...A LOT better connected.

Andy,

It is great to see you live and in person via WWH.
You are cute as a button and good to know that network original programming is in your hands!

I hope they triple your show budgets because I love the concepts of all of them, but as some have noted, the mystique of Project Runway hasn't fully carried over into the other reality-challenge shows - no one's fault, nothing that more money and time couldn't cure - It was great and refreshing to see "Sir Tim Gunn" himself, bringing back everything that is Top Notch about the Bravo personality panorama...

All in all I can't wait to "Watch What Happens" with your little tugboat program (I love the fact that it's down to earth and accessible) as well as all the other forefront programming.

I'll miss Peeler, if in fact he is leaving - you should do a follow up on his path if so and not let him get away so easy...But he's got nothin' on you.

Thanks for making yourself available. Now I'm not only a Tim Gunn fan, I'm also an Andy fan. At some point you know you're going to have to answer this question -- Are YOU seeing anyone??? :)))

P.S. thanks for pulling my comment about the network being stuck in FF...apparently it was an in-house problem with my workplace cable router or something. No more fire alarms from this corner. GOTTA HAVE MY BRAVO I.V. OR I GET KRANKY!!
luv luv.

In answer to your last question, "Yes, it is wrong!" If you don't believe me, just ask yourself how happy you would be if it happened to you on air (i.e. getting auf'd, 86'd, eliminated, fired!!!!!)

  1. Keep it clean. You're a Bravo fan, you know better words than most TV audiences.
  2. Avoid using ALL CAPS! (It’s like screaming...)
  3. We don't post e-mail addresses or phone numbers.
  4. Have a good time. We love that you love the blogs.
