The night started at the Food and Wine Best New Chefs Showcase at the top of 7 World Trade Center. My date was the fabulous Rene Fris, who you'll all be meeting next week on the premiere of "Shear Genius." Straight from Denmark, he's our Shear Genius salon manager.
We tasted all the food and the best belonged to Top Chefs Ilan Hall and Harold Dieterle. Sexy Sam Talbot was there too, cooking and helping out. Make no mistake, these guys can COOK. Ilan's was a fantastic lamb medley and Harold made some rock shrimp and mushroom with some Marcelian foam.
Saw Gail Simmons and Rene engaged her in a complicated discussion about her insanely beautiful cat eyes and arched eyebrow accents. We also saw season 1 chefs Andrea and Miguel, as well as the smiling sensation Josie Smith-Malave, who's cooking at Island in Long Island City. Harold's restaurant, Perilla, opens on Jones Street in NYC in May. I am so excited to dine there! I think Perilla will soon become a Bravo clubhouse.

From whom did Ilan steal the lamb recipe? You know, the only original idea that guy had, circled the bowl... You guys (Bravo execs) really blew it with TC-2. Don't think for one second that the fans have "gotten over it".
btw: Why wasn't Marcel (who came in 2nd) not included in the festivities?
Regarding Top Design, why wasn't there a mention about the wonderful Andrea being "latered"? Are you just dizzy with delight being squired by the flavor of the month?
