Long Night

May 31, 2007

I hightailed it out of work last night to a party celebrating the opening of DVF's new store in the meatpacking district.

It was a serious crowd with Anna Wintour, Calvin Klein, Barry Diller, Anderson Cooper and Fran Lebowitz in seersucker. I was in seersucker too so we felt very close to each other. Bravo's Valerie Brown brought Daniel Vosovic. I didn't get to spend nearly enough time analyzing Daniel's hair.

After the party I bopped to my house to take three Advil, which was the prep I needed for the Nexxus Shear Genius Finale Party at the Tribeca Grand. All the stylists were there, as well as Michael Carl, Rene, and "Project Runway 2's” Emmett McCarthy, who is about to start selling his purses on QVC.

A lady who shall remain nameless told me that I am really good on TV, and not good at blogging at all. She said it is clear from my blogs that my heart is not in blogging and she is not sure why I do it.

Andy, Thanks for the Hump day recap! I finally got to see Shear Genius this past weekend when Bravo ran the marathon. I liked it alot! I can see how Anthony won the title! But, my fave part (excuse the pun) was Hair God = Vidal Sasson. What a mensch! LOVE him! BTW, I LOVE your blog so (insert raspberry sound) to the lady you saw at the party last night! If you don't like it...don't read it! REALLY looking forward to Top Chef showdown between Season 1 & 2. That will be delicious. MWAH! Kelly

Dear Barnicle-know-it-all Lady from party 1:
Andy is an excellent blogger. He lets those less fortunate masses in the flyover states a glimpse in on his "exec about town" life. Didn't your mommy teach you party manners?
Fondly,

Dear Andy Cohen,

I haven't read your "blogs" in awhile. I had hoped that they would improve from the disorganized garble you displayed previously. However, I must admit that I am sadly disappointed. You continue to crank out non sequitors ad nauseum. Why oh why can you not stay on point??? It is as if you have ADD or ADHD! Please get yourself to the nearest mental health clinic.

Bravo just wrapped up the only decent reality show in years. Yet, you give it nary a mention. Shear Genius was fun. Jaclyn Smith added class with her gracious presence. The contestants seemed like very nice people (for a change). Even the "Queen of Mean" Tabatha was extremely talented and therefore, great to watch. Having Vidal Sassoon (the "Cary Grant" of hairdressers) to the final cut was pure genius! Finally, the show's reunion was the only Bravo reunion that was actually watchable. Although you hosted it, you must not have had much input - it was that good!

The lady (who remained nameless) that you mentioned was right. Blogging is obviously not your bag.

Soooo, good luck with your future someplace else. Bye!

Don't listen to her.

I dig your blog.

It's entertaining.

Andy, your blog is not that bad. lol. from what i could tell from the GayBoys' pics of the party on their blog, Dr. Boogie's date was LisaRaye. Not that great of an actress...she was in "The Players Club" and she's on Will and Jada's tv show. But she's married to some really rich foreign prince.

kisses,
cece

I love your blog! Please don't listen to that mean woman. If she doesn't like it she should not read it and keep her opinion to herself. It is so fun and funny. Thank you for writing it!

I think the lady that told you suck at blogging was wrong; especially the part how you are great on TV. I think you are great at blogging, but I would rather watch Helen Keller interview Paris Hilton than watch another one of the reunion specials you host. My GOD.... enough, like nails on a chalk board!

We want your blog comments! We will read and approve them as soon as we can, but sometimes they can take a little while to show up online. Here are some guidelines:

  1. Keep it clean. You're a Bravo fan, you know better words than most TV audiences.
  2. Avoid using ALL CAPS! (It’s like screaming...)
  3. We don't post e-mail addresses or phone numbers.
  4. Have a good time. We love that you love the blogs.
