First things first - I am hosting a Top Chef spectacular tonight at 10pm eastern! It's a "Watch What Happens" Special featuring 16 chefs from 3 seasons, never before seen clips from the show, and YOUR questions answered! It is a ton of fun even though no one told me to button my button on my shirt - so I look like an ad for 70's hairy chested hosts...
It's a Nuit Blanche morning for me. I rang the bell a bit last night...I was in my cups, as they say. I had 10pm dinner rezzys with friends and, instead of going to the gym or rearranging my closet after work, I hightailed it out of 30 Rock to see "Hairspray" one more time as an amuse bouche to my dinner.
What a perfect amuse bouche. The theater was packed and people applauded after every number. Some idiot in front of me decided that the perfect time to check his blackberry would be right at the climax of "You Can't Stop the Beat".
Do you know how bright a blackberry is in a movie theater? Well, YOU do but this buffoon did not. I kicked the back of his seat two times, hard. He put his freakin' blackberry away. People have no sense!

Hi Andy
I really enjoy the weekly Top Chef Blogs. I think the additional value comes from the explanations and tidbits that, while informative or interesting, do not fit into the constraints of the broadcast. The inconsistancy from your posters has made this less true this season and very frustrating. Please remove those who do not post, Dave-Marcel, and hopefully remind the others that they have recieved benefit from being on top chef far beyond there salary and that claiming other commitments or any other reason is insulting. I enjoy manny of the the offerings that Bravo has but I am sure you would not want us to you based on what we see on the blog pages. i know that is only one thing that you offer to us But I am pretty sure that you think that good enough is really not good enough. Thx

The blog was later than usual today. I wasn't sure how I was going to get through the work day. Do we need to have a talk about on time performance?

I just finished watching the "Watch What Happens - Top Chef Spectacular". I noticed one glaring omission. How can you possibly have a segment on Top Chef Top Fights and NOT include the infamous Dave vs Tiffany "I'm not your bitch, bitch!" episode from Season One???? That was one of my favorite of all time.

Question: how did you choose who was to be on?
Next, I am convinced Howie needs to have a show of his own. What a personality, very animate
thanks

Enjoyed the "Watch What Happens" I will have to try some of the recipes. It is nice to see the civility. Emotions can definietly arise in a competition. The thirty second satire on the judges take from the contestants made up version of steak, eggs and potatoes was fun to watch. I don't think that they all should have blog sites, it is true they all benefit from the show,
but it is a "Top Chef" show and is it a prerequisite to be a "Top
Celebrity"... with everyone having access as fans? They should do blogs only if they want, too.

Last nights "Watch What Happens - Top Chef Spectacular", was totally right on. I was plesantly surprised to see all who were there. Glad to see that Harold really followed through on his restaurant adventure. The one part that made us absolutely crack a rib was the take on the Season 2 making fun of the judges and the whole Top Chef setup. I'm glad to see that they can let loose and have some fun because I know they have got to be under tremendous stress with those challenges and the judging.

Andy, I'll be sure to watch anytime you're doing something special!
And the show was fun, especially when Elia was impersonating Padma in a Quickfire Challenge.
The most dramatic fight ever though was Mia yelling at Cliff before the judges. I can never resist watching it whenever it's on.
Thanks again, Hot Man. I'll be sure to watch what happens next.
