Christopher Ciccone's quick, uncredited cameo on last week's "Top Chef" generated a lot of buzz, including mentions on Page 6 last week and this morning. As the Post reports today, Christopher is back tonight. I can tell you that he's not a guest judge - and not a random diner. Watch What Happens on an episode that I would consider a shocker.
Oh and speaking of "Watch What Happens" - watch that tonight live after "Top Chef". We're live with Rocco! And we'll hear from tonight's eliminated chef!!
I am really hung up on this morning's papers. I keep waiting for someone to say something nice about Leona Helmsley but it seems like there's nothing to say. Even old ladies like Cindy Adams aren't coming to the Queen's defense. Wow. And the Brit pile-on continues. The Post reports that Justin Timberlake was set to record a comeback duet produced by Timbaland and she blew it off. Brit -- put the E away and get your shit together.

I can't think of anything less appetizing and inappropriate on Top Chef than Madonna's brother (notice I don't even name him since he's such a 2 bit hanger-on).

Here, here, Reid P. I thought Mr. Ciccone's behavior last week on Top Chef was insufferable. Not insufferable as in "wow, his criticism was spot-on and he brought the sharp snark," insufferable as in, "get this prat off my television. Now." I have no idea why he's being foisted upon us again. This reeks of a stunt, and Top Chef is a better show than that.

Don't you have to be remotely famous for an appearance to be considered a "cameo." Oh Andy, NO one cares about Madge's brother.

I don't remember you ever pointing out parts of the paper before, or maybe it's usually more lighthearted. Whatever the case, I liked it. I mean, you go ME to buy the New York Times. That's as influential as it gets.

If Ciccone is back as a guest, I guess that means that horrid blogger will be back as well. What a waste of Daniel Boulud's time that was last week. Are they going to waste his time again?
By having these people return, TC is encouraging rudeness in our culture. Our society has enough rudeness, thank you. Some people will watch that and think that is how they should behave in a restaurant. One can indicate their unhappiness about food or service without personally insulting and embarrassing restaurant staff or being obnoxious just to show how superior you believe you are. I guess is just isn't "cool" to be polite and courteous. It's all about how bitchy and mean you can be -- and if you can really humiliate someone, so much the better.

I was totally shocked Tre was let go today. I thought he would have lasted to the final two. He was a great competitor and will be a success regardless. Sorry to say this will be my last night watching.

You guys just lost some of your biggest fans. My friends and I are horrified by your dission to cut Tre. He not only was the best chef on this season but I would challenge any past Top Chef contestants to cook better than him. From week to week Tre was steadily on top. To just give him the boot when clearly he recieved little help from his teammates, thats just wrong. This isnt Top Chief. Your show is a mockery of culinary talent. What a joke! The season might as well be over because cutting Tre no doubt cute a huge group of your fan base. I mean not one of the Chefs you have left is anywhere near a "Top Chef". Seeing Joey was the only plus to this episode.

I want to see a real challenge......being a strict vegetarian for 2 decades, I'd like to see the chefs create a full menu using no animal products of any kind. I enjoy watching Topchef, but face it...who with half a brain couldn't come up with a tasty dish with every possible animal at their disposal? Show me some real creativity.....no animal flesh and nothing that came from any animal.........................
Another idea.....a challenge where chefs can only use local and in-season products to create their dishes.
Think green people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andy,
Just watched the live "Watch What Happens!" webcast, and it was great. Chef Tom and Rocco and you seemed to be having some real fun. Tom's response to the Hung question also left me hanging...hmmmm. Time will tell. Thanks again for the aftershow!

Love how DALE just summed up Chrisopher C (Madonna's bitter brother) as the "most annoying man I have ever met in my life..." He may be a talented designer but he is big jerk - Way to go Dale! Hope you guys aren't planning a design show starring the man you love to hate. Send him back to Madonna.
