Last night was such Bravo whiplash that it was almost too much for even me and my crappy BlackBerry pictures to keep up with. Let me start at the end by saying we had a fierce "Watch What Happens" featuring Gail Simmons and Howie Kleinberg that you can (and really should) watch HERE... The headline news is that Gail is engaged! Her longtime boyfriend Jeremy popped the question last week, and here she is showing off the bling.

The woman who attacked Brian in her blog on the Restaurant Wars was totally out of line, a cruelty that no one should have to endure. Padma was also out of line when she took our bloggers to task, her concern would be better extended to Brian who had to sit there and take it. That woman can write what she wants, but in the end it is the producers who are responsible for allowing it to be shown. The contract for the coming years should assure contestants that the judges and producers will be held to the same standards of behavior they expect of the contestants. What they did to Brian was inexcusable, no chef should have to put up with of public humiliation. At the very least, he deserves an apology. Will he get one?
