Last night I was on the set of an AMAZING new Bravo competition show in LA until the wee hours, so I am feeling out of touch about what y'all thought of "Project Runway".
I loved the episode and am so glad we finally did menswear, plus Tiki Barber was the perfect subject. The guy was a champ and I loved and admired how precise he was about what kind of clothes suit him, i.e. patterns don't work and that short jackets make his butt look big! I agree with Heidi, what's so bad about Tiki's butt looking big? Once you've worn football pants, isn't everything else forgiving?
I think it was absolutely the toughest challenge in Runway history, especially given the time constraint. It was also perhaps (and this is saying something) the gayest episode, what with shirtless male models in undies, Jack piggybacking Christian into the workroom, and Kevin being the only boy that knew who the New York Giant was! Speaking of the gays, tune in tonight for "Kathy Griffin: Straight to Hell". It's the funnylady's sixth Bravo standup special that taped in Chicago several weeks ago. I was there with Padma, Gail and Dale Levitski and it was side splitting. Man that lady is FUNNY. It is really topical, too.

That challenge was way too hard, felt bad for (most) of them!
the winning shirt stripes looked way too blinding on my tv (no hdtv going on here) didn't think it would "play" well on the Today show.
Can't wait for Kathy's latest - went to see her this summer, wish I had taken notes, we were laughing so hard.
Congrats, Godfather.

Yes, we may in fact be soulbrothers. Ha! Glad you made it out of IAH safely and hope you had a fantastic trip to Houston. Congrats on the god-daughter!
Re: Project Runway. LOVED the episode, but was sad to see Carmen go. I'm disappointed we didn't get to see more of what she could do. Also, yay for semi-nude male models!
Looking forward to Kathy tonight. I caught her set in Houston earlier this year and I concur...that lady is FUNNY.
Enjoy the weather in LA!

Can SOMEONE tell me what is the point of the challenge if there is not enough time to finish???? Even Jack's winning two pieces had glued on buttons. You can't tell if anyone is good or bad just through a speed-sewing exercise. It was stupid and incredibly annoying to watch. Six or eight people could have gone home. Ridiculous. (but I LOVE you Andy!)

Thanks for Ava's CV. Needless to say she is one lucky little girl Congrats.
As far as why I stumbled upon your blog I actually looked you up on bravotv.com because I loooove your show wrap-up interviews. I'm like all, "who is this guy?", rarely do TV hosts ask real questions. So I find out you are not just on-air talent but a network suit ( ! ) and that your blog is as funny as your interviews. Fresh, intelligent, makes me laugh. I try to read everyday during lunch. Count me as a fan my brother!

Ditto Johnny on your hotness factor Andy. You rule.
This season, on PR4 I think that Kevin, the "Str8 one" is one
hot looking man. I think he is gorgeous. Those eyes and that black black hair are are WOW. Any opinions on who you think is this season's hottie? Pleonly. All of us gay guys know the girls are hotties...... I want to know what guy you find attractive.

Andy, I think you have a blog just so you can read these great life-affirming comments! JK! Maybe I should get one too! I too think you are cute, however, I am not sure if I love you more for your great personality and funny interests. You have many facets and I love reading your blog, you give good scoop.
I do take umbrage for you calling Barbara Bush grouchy. She is not, she is very funny. She laughs at herself all the time. Her last book was surprisingly funny and self-depricating. She makes weight jokes about herself and makes fun of her white hair and pearls. She is more liberal than you think. If I can adore you and like her too, she can't be that bad, right?

Andy -- You are so friggin hot, and how the heck does a VP of a large corporation get to be so bold in public? Makes you hotter in my estimation. OMG -- the menswear competition on Project RW was so HILARIOUS, I was laughing out loud. What happened to those people?? I loved that comment that pants were "just two big sleeves", which totally put in perspective the ridiculous rants of the others who couldn't deal with the fact that their models had a couple of different body parts. Rami is my vote as the hottest guy. Damn. Loved when that one guy said he "totally got it" after seeing all the hot guys in their skivies vs. all his friends who drool over the thought of all the girls in the same. Thanks again Andy for being so hot ... and so bold in your bloggering
