OMG I read in the trades today that Bravo hired Elizabeth Berkley to host it's new dance competition reality show "Step It Up and Dance". Could it be true? If it is, it's too genius for me to handle. I don't know though, you can't always believe what you read. I hope this is true. Nomi!?
I am still in LA and I am loving it at this moment. Full throttle LA. Maybe that's cuz I am leaving in a few hours, but maybe it's because I actually really do very often love it here. But, oy, I'm having a bad flashback to the other night when I gave the guy at the front desk of the Sunset Tower so much shit when I returned latenight from the set of a new white hot Bravo reality shoot because the bar was completely shut down.
"LA Sucks!" I challenged the front desk guy. "It SUCKS."
"Yeah, yeah, LA sucks," he said, clearly humoring me and secretly ordering housekeeping to sprinkle lice and crabs in my bed and on my towels. (So THAT'S how I got lice and crabs!)

OK now - as you wend your way back east to LGA - think positive zen thoughts. As soon as you get off the plane smile at everone you meet - sincerely - not like a crazy person. Let us know how it goes - I am rooting foryou!

Andy,
What's the premise of "Step It Up and Dance"? Are the dancing contestants going to be celebrities paired up with professional dancers?

Okay, I love LA and even I'll admit that it's totally lame that our bars close as early as they do.
Hope you had a safe flight back.

OK, You said "Stay on your Soap box" so that's what we are doing--rumor has it that you guys are giving
more air space to that NASTY Betty BOOP. Well we feel the thing for us to do, as several of our growing group have nothing else to do, is to watch the show and if BETTY wins anything, we will all Boycott all the sponsors. We need to get the message out, we would rather watch Howie sweat then see her again!
Enjoy your exciting life.

Dear Andrew,
Thanks for your stream of consciousness. I see you haven't lost your touch with the absurd.
Here is some outrage to add to your lengthy list -- how on earth can there be a Top Chef "Special" on this Thursday with some dubious cooks to stir the pot? For example, there is Batty Betty (who was better known for her "personality" than her cooking). What gives? Did the better chefs decline to be a part of this imitation Food Network Holiday Show? On that program, the cooks/chefs actually are nice people who get along with each other.
Please, the next time you get a light bulb in your head to do another rehash of food wars, keep only to the cream of crop. Thank you for allowing me to say my peace...
btw: Have a nice Chanukah!
