Happy Runway Day, people. I like a Wednesday. I got no problem with this day. None.
I was so happy to post a videoblog yesterday of my Favorite Things and a look at the current state of the Rock Center Hanukah Bush but, due to technical difficulties it didn't get posted till the very end of the day. If you missed it, click HERE.
I meant to bring home that Jamie King workout DVD that I showed in the video clip yesterday, but instead I grabbed this copy of a dancealong version of "High School Musical". I was so irritated when I discovered my faux pas. What the hell am I going to do with a dancealong version of High School Musical?
I had a lovely dinner in the West Village last night and on the walk home discovered that Marc Jacobs - seemingly unhappy with dominating Bleecker Street - is now taking over West 4th street. Do we need five Marc Jacobs stores in one wee neighborhood? I seriously think we do not. That being said, I bought a pair of gloves for myself.

Glad to see the love for some of the great comedians of the age. I've alwats appreciated Don Rickles, so it is good to see people like him and Phyllis Diller get their props for all of the hard work they have done over the years.

I totally agree with you on the Rickles thing. My husband and I honeymooned in Vegas and were in the audience for his performance at the Sands. We saw the date flash on the screen and realized that was the show that we attended. We may have been one of the youngest couples in the room! I literally laughed so hard I had tears down my cheeks. His comedy is timeless. How great it must have been "back in the day". For anyone out there looking for a good laugh....please see this doc. He is FANTASTIC.

Don Rickles was in St. Louis earlier this fall -- I went to his show and it was just as hilarious and offensive as I had hoped.

I think the 2 eras I would have liked to have been a part of would be:
1. London hey day of the 1960's (Marianne Faithful, Mick, Twiggy, Beatles, Zep, MOD etc..) and
2. Studio 54.
Every now and then I would add California/SF in partic in the late 60's. Free love & Rock n Roll.

Terrible injustice on PR last night. I'll read the blogs, but I'm done with the show.

Loved loved LOVED the video blog of the last posting. I did the "gay gasp" when you opened your window. What an incredible view!!! I'll also be purchasing this Jamie King workout DVD...so let me know how it is once you finish your Zac Efron impersonation.
I cannot BELIEVE they booted Chris last night. I'm still smarting from the shock.

Are you referring to the video from videoholic2008 on YouTube? That account, according to the user himself, will likely go down, again, because he has put up too much stuff, and too much stuff that copyright holders are complaining about. I've had my own account that hasn't had video removals or account suspensions since September 2006. While not as valuable as videoholic2008, it's not as risky. Maybe Ray could learn something from me.
