Joan Collins Was Here

January 11, 2008

Greetings from Los Angeles, where I checked into the very hotel room that Joan Collins departed a mere 2 hours earlier. So I am using a terlit christened by Alexis Morel Carrington Colby Dextah! And there's a big staircase. And I wish I could've seen her.

Anyways...

I hate it when people say "anywayS". With an “S”. That is poor and grammatically incorrect, to boot.

So anyways...

Wow I went on the blogs late last night and saw that people were SO PISSED about Victorya winning the "Runway" Prom challenge. I will tell ya that I saw that blue bejeweled number and thought it was adorable, and so did the teenqueen wearing it. I gather y'alls hated it.

And nobody was too pleased about the man that departed, either. You thought it shoulda been Ricky? I am trying to remember if the judges smoked crack before that day's elimination, but I can't remember that they did.

The dress Victoria did could have been purchased in any mall store out there this past summer. It was so commercial and nothing new or innovative. I was pretty amazed that they picked it rather than telling her it looked like something from Forever 21. And come on, prom-going girls want to look older and slutty! Not age appropriate!

Maybe that dress looked better in person, yuck with that cheap looking rhinestone neck thing. It was Ricky's time, weak dresses every challenge, enough with the tacky conductor's hat and waterworks already. Anyways...

Andy - I gots to say this is the 1st time I wholeheartedly DISAGREED with the PR judges, and I always try to see their side of it. I think Ricky is a sweetie & I love that he can't get thru a challenge w/out the waterworks, but it was his time to go. He's been in the bottom too many times, and that was Kevin's 1st real misstep. C'mon, NEEEENAAAA Garcia!!! BTW, your blog was funny today -- Im loving the candy. And for the interview ... a tight, shiny dress shirt (unbuttoned) with a few gold chains is always a crowd pleaser.

Weenie. Nina and MK's blogs just made matters worse. (BTW, all the girls would say they liked their dresses. They are nice Catholic girls for god's sake, and they (mostly) liked their designers). MK's blog made it sound like Kevin's problem was his heterosexually induced Madonna-Whore complex for evening wear. What an incredibly ridiculous and demeaning thing to say. So if you thought viewers were pissed before, man, you ain't seen nothin' yet. Kors should apologize.

Hi Andy!

Joan Collins!!! How can you NOT walk around the room all day
quoting various Dynasty lines in your best Joan Collins??
You also get 10 gay points for remembering all her last names!

Yes, boy butt shaving IS a spectator sport.

Return of the Jedi?? Every boy, gay or straight, knows the best
one was "Empire". (see "Clerks"-"Jedi was just a bunch of muppets.")

P.S. Have tons 'o' fun in La La Land!! But do NOT fall in love with
any of those California boys. It leads to heartbreak everytime...

Ok Andy, so watched Make me a Supermodel... new fav... I'm all Bravo-all the time it seems... Here's my issue... all this bla bla bla about Holly's hair... all I can think of is, Hello! Extensions!
calling Ms. Tyra Banks extension team!.. ya think?
Oh, you ever watch Moonlight on Friday nights? would love your take on it. Totally into you and Andy's blog... and Ruckers new hair... the most perfect haircut I've seen this year.

Victorya's dress sucked. It looked like a K-Mart knockoff of something Barbara Parkins wore in Valley of the Dolls. Kit's dress used many of the same elements, but put together oh so much better.

Of the bottom three, Kevin's was the best. Christian's was an unholy mess. But Ricky's was even worse.

And those judges should've seen pictures of a recent prom or interviewed the girls to find out what they would want. Nina and Kors are obviously completely out of touch with teenagers.

Oh, and the next time you use unprofessional models, do them a favor and take 1/2 hour to teach them how to walk.

I was sorry to see Kevin leave. I will miss those sexy eyes and those shirtless shots . Sigh...
I agree with the rest of the posters, I have seen much better episodes. And that Maddy, she was just plain annoying. I guess she (like her designer) like the drama.

The dress is not bejeweled, but rather it's bedazzled. My favorite comments from the blogs call the top of that dress the work of a bedazzler, but you know at least bedazzlers attach the faux gems to the dress; Victorya glued hers on. Loved Tim Gunn's blog calling the dress a superhero costume & he's right about that one as it's not a prom dress. Sweet P. should have won that one. Actually, I did not care that Kevin went because that was one awful dress he made and one awful hair style to go with it plus harsh make-up. However, I do agree with those who posted that they really hurt his model's feelings and it was obvious by the expression on her face. Okay to hurt the designers feelings, but the model-clients are teenaged girls & the judges should add something aimed at the girls to soften those remarks because some of them seemed to take it personally. Loved the fact that the challenge was for teenaged girls and loved the fact one of them acted like a typical teenaged customer, very demanding that Maddie. You need to do another teenaged challenge next time with junior fashions because those change so very rapidly, fleeting fads & fashions & so would be a real challenge for the designers.
