It is Tuesday, which means that tonight is a new episode of "The Real Housewives of New York City". The ladies all return from the Hamptons and hit fashion week hard. To me that show is like pure crack cocaine. I have never had pure crack cocaine, but I think there is an analogy there.
As I pounded away on my BlackBerry yesterday writing the blog on the way to work, I mentioned that I hate St. Patrick's Day. In retrospect, and having lived through another March 17, I feel that I was too soft on St. Patrick's Day.
I do not hate St. Patrick's Day. I loathe it. I despise it. I Jessica Simpson it. Remember how Rosie felt about Hasselbeck? I feel that. I just don't know how I can plainly and clearly hit home how I really feel here.
People in New York City love to grouse all summer long about how horrible the Gay Parade is and what a nightmare traffic is on the Sunday of the Puerto Rican Day Parade, and somewhere the green drunks get lost.
I love Irish people but I don't care for the St. Patty's revelers at all. They are wearing BRIGHT GREEN and they are very DRUNKY DRUNK and THEY ALL HAVE TO PEE and they are NOISY and IN MY FACE and DRUNK outside my CAB at 10AM and YELLING under my WINDOW at WORK and SCREAMING under my window at HOME. And they are very drunk, did I say that? And all wearing green, did I say that too?

I'm part Irish, and I, too, HATE St. Patty's Day. It's the worst amateur drinking day. Being a "professional" drinker, it's not fun to see people get plastered who normally don't. Those are the annoying drunks who tend to drink excessively only on St. Patty's day, Cinco de mayo, and New Years Eve.
Four years at Faneuil Hall on St Patty's Day? I do not envy you...

I have been trying to like watching the new housewives of NY. show, but they are just not the Orange County Housewives. They seem ok, but not interesting enough to keep up with. When will the Orange County wives be coming back?
thanks,
Susan from Oklahoma

I LOVED Real Housewives of OC. I can't say the same for the NYC version. These women are haters and they don't have the grace, charm, and down-to-earthiness that the OC gals appear to have. It's one thing to be rich and live richly; it's another to pretend to be too good for everyone, which the NYC publicity-hos do with pride and a whole lot of prejudice. Please bring back the OC version and dump the wanna-be's of NYC.

Maybe you need to move. St. Patrick's Day is nothing like that where I live. My brother lives in Houston and down in the street from his condo there's crazy goings on all the time and he's says after 10 years of the craziness he's moving.

Have been watching Housewives from N.Y. I like Ramona - she seems the most genuine of the bunch even though she needs to watch her mouth around her daughter. Jill is obnoxious and Luann seems sneeky and they both kiss their husbands' _____. Jill is upset because Ramona didn't invite her to her little party! boo hoo! and now once again, boo hoo, she doesn't want to sit in the second row at the fashion show! Oh brother! This show is sometimes hard to watch.

Andy - I so hear you on St. Patrick's Day - and it began to give me permanent shudders as well when I lived in Boston. Seems they're "always countin' me lucky charms" there. Ever since the sight of those shiny paper green shamrocks make me want to hide.

I am curious as to why Alex felt like she hade to
lie to Simon about him coming to the all girls dinner? They TOLD her it
was "all girls". She asked
if Simon could go. Then she told Simon they insisted hee come. Then he
said 'it would look funny if he didn't go'. I miss
the REAL housewives of the OC! They were REAL!
These girls lie...they are
not 'true friends'. And, Ramona speaking about "class" was the funniest thing I have ever heard! What does she know about "class"????
Phoney, phoney, phoney!
Please bring the real, true, "cool" housewives
back. We LOVE them!!!!!!
