Ab Essentials

April 23, 2008

People often stop by my office to seek advice about how to get shredded 8-pack abs. I tell them that it is neither easy nor fun to get shredded 8 pack abs, which is why I do not have them. When Jackie Warner stopped by my office, I decided to give it one last shot.

(And by the way --- What'd you think of that Housewives reunion last night???)

Andy, why did you keep asking Simon why he was at the reunion? Wasn't he asked to be there? Aren't you one of the producers? It seemed very staged to beat this dead horse of a story line w/ Alex & Simon.

You certainly beat up on Alex and Simon last night. I'm not quite sure they deserved it, particularly since Ramona is the one who is acting so odd. You made a comment that you had received mail; yet many of us in America applaud their love and devotion to one another, and think Ramona is a psycho. We should all be so luck as to have a marriage like that. Who cares that their house is under construction, or that they love being in the social limelight.

You were sure hard on Alex and Simon last night, while letting Ramona off the hook.

Who cares that their house is under rennovation, or that they like the New York social scene? Their love for each other is something many, many of us never ever have. I am impressed by their devotion. We should all be so lucky. Meanwhile, Ramona is a complete mess and should probably be in a mental ward.

I was surprised you took that route. And what's that with Simon being there? Surely he was asked by someone at Bravo. We are not idiots Andy.

That was awesome Andy! You're going to have an 8 pk. in no time.

The reunion show was amazing, I loved it.

I thought you did a great job! I wish you had asked Alex about the last dinner party and how she felt about her trilingual son playing in Jason's meal. That was beyond terrible! I think the show is a hit because Bravo has chosen women worth talking about!! I can't wait until next season!!

Overall, I enjoyed the show! It did get tediuos with Simon and Alex trying to explain themselves. Who care! They are in a deep state of denial if they don't think they are trying to climb the social ladder (as we mentioned last night, who discusses walking the red carpet, NY Times society page). I hope they don't return next season! Ramona was just too wierd-seems like her meds were way out of whack. I appreciate the honesty of Jill and Bethenny. LuAnn is always so diplomatic. Cant' wait for season 2!

Ramona was out of control! I wouldn't have nude pictures taken of myself but if other people would then that's their choice. She got up and walked off like a child because she didn't want to be associated with that.. PA-LEASE!!! Its okay for her to run around in a bikini and hang all over her husband on television (the whole "I forgot the cameras were there" excuse was BS) but its not okay for someone else to have nude photos of themselves that were totally unrelated to the show. She was ridiculous.

I loved this cast of characters. Like so many New Yorkers you know exactly where you stand. Lauri of the OC cast mentioned they were not as aggressive as the New York cast and I beg to differ. They are just as aggressive but they use passive aggression. New Yorkers don’t waste their time with the passive approach. They go right for the end-game. Boo-Ya.

You're hot already...can't wait to see the result. Is there a "shirtless" Andy video in your future?? Also...the Housewives of NYC reunion was classic. I'm beginning to think that Alex is too much of an outsider to contribute to the show's dynamic. Let's face it - all the housewives are using the show as a vehicle(status, fame, $$), but while Alex and her husband entertain, it's no longer believable that they are a welcomed and integral part of the clique. The ties that bind them to the story may be irrevocably unfrayed.

So, why WAS Simon allowed (whether or not Simonalex use that word) to be included on the reunion show?
Apparently you were looking to cause yet more drama than is already part of this group.

The extra mousewife should not have been there as an onair part of the show.

Who cares if their house is under rennovation, or if they want to be a part of New York society. They seem to be decent people. On the other hand, Ramona is seriously mental, and is incapable of telling the truth. And you knew Simon was going to be there because someone at Bravo invited him. I wish you would not so obviously take sides, especially the side of a real wacko.

I was hoping there would be some comments from the 'Housewives of OC'. I'm curious as to what they thought of the NY women. Bravo should put together a special of the out takes.
