Hey what did you think of last night's "Top Chef"!?!?!? I want to know...
Ok this is my last video blog about the A-List awards, but ya know - it was a huge undertaking so it was worthy of a lot 'o posts. The show airs tonight following the premiere of "My Life on the D-List", and here's me having one last romp around during rehearsal...

Andy, LOVED the finale of Top Chef! Fans of the show knew Richard was certainly deserving and would have made a wonderful TC, but secretly us gals were pining our hopes on a Stephanie victory (well, we don't have Hillary anymore....!). My biggest fear was that the criteria that 'what was the meal that you would want to have again' would yield Lisa the winner. Based on that meal, it certainly looks like she out-performed Richard on that score, and if it had been down to those two...I don't know how anyone would have supported a Richard victory based on that standard. Can't wait til next time!

Love that Kathy has her coloring right. Soft pastels, blondie/red hair. She looks great.
Another subject: Will you do doing WorkOut reunion show? You have to have Peeler there too. I smell ratings!!!!

Andy-
I'm still waiting for you to comment about workout- you've said nothing since the big Jamie Eason incident. What gives? Since Jackie Warner has nothing else to promote, why not develop and inspirational gay and lesbian reality show to replace workout? I know we have Jeff Lewis and he's great and we also have Project Runway..but.. I mean how many times can we see Jackie cycle through different girls and have it be at all interesting? It's played- big time!
And Stephanie winning Top Chef- YES!!!!!

I love that show, but I did feel a bit of lack-luster in the finalle....not sure why. I do wonder why if everyone agreed that Lisa put forth the best meal (2 of 4 courses), why didnt she win?

Top Chef's finale was kinda boring........I love the show, watched every season......and this finale was a bit lame, no curve balls (the no sous chef the next day was obvious), Lisa is still horrible and not worthy of being there despite the editing, Stepahnie was the obvious choice -hey, it HAD to be a girl this time- so..........pretty boring and dissapointing.

The finale of Top Chef was much anticipated--I was disappointed to see Antonia get chopped in the last episode and frankly, not so much because of the negative light in which Lisa was portrayed, but because she never explored anything other than asian style food, I was rooting for either Richard or Stephanie. Stephanie definately deserves to be Top Chef, and I am so excited to see women chefs finally represented!! It was a close call, congrats to all for making it to the final 3, it is a huge accomplishment and you should all be proud of yourselves!

Both Stephanie & Richard deserve congrats. They were class acts. If Angry Lisa had won and started a restaurant, who would want to work for her? She could have used the money for therapy, though.

Hi Andy!!!
Kathy!! There's nothing better than watching a gay man in a woman's body! Or is it, a woman in a gay man's body?? Or is it, watching Anderson Cooper while eating Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough?? Oh well.
Anderson's on "D-List" episode one. Did Andy
Cohen make the cut??

Andy: I loved the finally if only becasue Lisa did not win, I know very petty of me, but I have to admit I just did not like this girl, I felt she showed nothing but disrespect to the judges by folding her arms at the judge's table. I am happy the Stephanie won, go girl power. Damn Richard for choking, I was pulling for him to win.
Ok Andy I do have a question about Top Chef though, what about us Jews that are cooks that don't eat pork, Top Chef doesn't do us any favors by having pork in every dish! GEEZ!

The Top Chef finale was phenominal!! i do hate seeing all the blogs saying it was Richard's to lose. The point is, it was anyone's to lose - that could be the theme of this season. All three contestants wanted to win, but only one could. Fortunately, my favorite from the first episode won. I do agree that based on her overall performance all season, it would have been a let down to see Lisa win. Especially since it was obvious that she didn't really bring anything "new" to the final challange. I could be wrong, but didn't it seem like Lisa prepared dishes that she has prepared for years?!? Stephanie prepared dishes that were fairly new to her - like usual. That is an important distinction to make when deciding on the Top Chef.

I thought the finale fell flat. Check out "television without pity" -- they also felt the show ended with a "wimper."
I wish I could explain why it was not exciting, compared to the first three finales, but I really can't. My husband agreed that it was just flat, and we love this show.
The show needs more energy in general, and who could provide that better than Bethenny? Her energy and light-up-the-room smile, her beauty, her humor -- all would elevate TC5 tremendously. Padma is a downer.

Hi Andy. I been a Top Chef fan since the first season. This season was good, but I feel some of the decisions the judges mmade this year were wrong. Dale should have been in the final 3 with Richard, and Stephanie. But that wasn't the only decision I questioned. Lisa should have been sent home many times before the final. The fact that she beat Richard, and came close to beating Stephine last night, is the result of being around at the end, when she should have been sent home before. By allowing her the opportunity to compete in the finals, it gave her a chance to win. Once your in it, of course anything can happen. It's ironic that she almost won, and the fans that despise her, lost the chance to have Padma say to her "pack your knives and leave". At least a very good chef, thats a sweet person won. With the win Stephanie becomes the first female to win Top Chef.
Congratulations to Stephanie, and Bravo, on another good season of Top Chef. For me Top Chef is my favorite show on T.V., and the only show I watch on Bravo.

Love Stephanie! She totally rocks it! Love her sweet and humble disposition, calm under pressure, and adaptability. BTW - Hate Kathy Griffith. yeah - she deserves to be on the D-List, or F-List, as LeeAnn points out for Lisa. They can enjoy the heat together.

I disagree with the way the judges only base their decision on that night’s dish. Lisa should have been nixed weeks ago (how many times was she in the losing group?), and Antonia should have been in the final three. That being said, I'm very happy that they chose Stephanie...I was nervous for a minute there. Congrats Stephanie!!!

Andy, thanks for asking.
It certainly looks like the judges strained to event categories that would allow them to award Top Chef to Stephanie rather than Lisa.
I actually will watch the next season. It's just "meal we would most like to eat again" seems a little phony to me.

It was an impressive and anticipation tickling tease to see Lauren Hutton in the tribute movie so gorgeous and together. I saw her on the red carpet show and thought she was going to stun us all by changing into something fashion fabulous. It was like a blunt object cutting out my heart when I saw her disheveled appearence as the result of being up for 46 hours and dealing with emotional stress from a loved one. I hope she's ok.
Kathy Griffin rocked as host and looked smokin' hot too!
Go gAy-list awards!!!

Not sure if this is the right place to make this posting, but here it goes... I am a HUGE fan of Bravo and am currently watching my DVR of the A-List preshow. I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in the host you have opposite Tim Gunn. He is rude and NOT funny. Some people can pull off humor by bagging on people in a funny way, but tonight he sucked.... I wasn't into the rude comments about the OC and NY housewives and also about Tanisha about her weight just to name a few. I am wondering if anyone else is going to comment on his poor, poor commentary!

Not a fan tonight of the pre-show host opposite Tim Gunn. He was rude and crude and NOT right for the red carpet. His comments about the OC and NY housewives as well as Tanisha and him not being surprised that she was hungry was totally uncalled for. Some people have a way of being extremely funny when bagging on other people, but tonight it did not work for this mess!!

Last night's Top Chef was odd--the bit after the judgment was announced was so anti-climatic. Last year's was so festive, with family members and confetti! Why so low key this year? Because it was so far away? Regardless, good on Steph for winning and I felt so bad for Richard, I thought he might cry. But he'll be fine--like American Idol, the runners up usually do very well because their talents have been exposed to the movers and shakers.
And thank the lord in heaven above--no. more. Lisa.
A-List Award Show--I loved it. Odd, whacky, left field, pushed the envelope, a better host could not have been found. Love all the faces in the crowd--the mix, their facial expressions to Kathy. Tim Gunn! Hope this is a yearly event, and don't dis Kathy or there'll be hell to pay Mister Man!

Hi Andy,
I watched the Top Chef finale last night and have to admit that I would of preferred Antonia in the final 3. Lisa deserved the boot ages ago! I felt really bad for Richard but I know that he is a wonderful chef and will be fine. I was also pleased for Stephanie but I didn't think what she did was spectacular compared to the previous winners. Both her and Richard were a little dull for t.v. and thus this is why I think Lisa was kept, for her annoying self!
Congrats on a good season and look forward to Shear Genius and of course the wonderful Kathy!
Happy Friday!

This year's final Top Chef was very anti-climatic. The entertainment value was not there. The final menus did not deliver in any way. I dont think Puerto Rico was a great place for the last challenges. Could we pick a location better known for it's food??? Paris, New York, even New Orleans would have provided a much more interesting culinary back drop for the chefs to shine.
This year's Top Chef showing all around was the best yet!!! The challenges, Chicago, and quality of the cheftestants was refreshing and I waited with anticipation for each new episode. I loved it!!!
