Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls

July 9, 2008

I am curious what the fallout is from Jeff Lewis' spying on his employees with his nannycam. What did ya think of THAT?

I am still jetlagged to hell and keep having to duck out of dinners at 10pm to get my ass to bed, which is both lame and kind of great. I ventured to the Seaport area on Monday night and had sushi right by the Brooklyn Bridge with an amazing view of one of the New York City Waterfalls, installation by Olafur Eliasson.

Who woulda thunk a Waterfall sprouting up from nothing in the middle of a river off of NYC? What will Olafur Eliasson think of NEXT?? It's up until October 13, by the way.

Hey Andy,

I agree that the waterfalls are the coolest thing happening in NYC.
Eliot spitzer's prostitute is a trash bag, but I guess any famous bimbo gets their own reality show these days (see: Living Lohan and Denise Richards).

Take Care,
Jesse

Andy,
Until now I thought Jeff Lewis was just your regular, run-of-the-mill textbook OCD, but this new behavior takes it to a new level. A nannycam? WTF? He is truly nuts, and bordering on some sort of strange paranoid neurosis . Yikes.

I love Jeff... he makes me laugh. I will say though if I had to deal with someone like him in real life I'd probaby be in jail by now for assault and battery. There are times Jeff needs a good smack across the face. Jenni is a saint and I sure hope he pays her well. She deserves every cent of it.

Hey Andy,

Jeff has the nerve to bare to world that he put a camera in his home and business. I would expect that the practice is more prevalent than one might imagine. The man had the guts to expose his camera to the world on a reality show! He followed his gut feeling about Chris and had a right to do so.

No thanks to Slade and Jo. I'll find another station to watch during their show.

"Bastard?" Do we still use that word?

Love you

HI Andy

I have to chime in on the Jo and Slade show: I have not watched nor will I. They were unlikeable and not in a villainous way, which everyones loves to watch, but in a minus 10 Q ratings way.

That's a pretty unimpressive tip...

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU for giving everyone their due today and not being afraid to call a spade a spade. If this is the result of your vacation, you should take them more often.

Regarding Jo and Slade, have you ever gotten any gaydar reading from Slade? I wonder when I watch him on RHOOC given how many failed relationships he has had with women, and his fondness for playing dressup. Just wondering.

Thanks

Hi Andy!!

OMG, Jeff Lewis. I almost cried when I saw the clips of next week's show where Jenni was crying. She is sooo sweet and seeing her in tears was heartbreaking to say the least. I don't know about the cam thing. It's his business, he can run it however he chooses. I'm a manager as well and I think tighter control over employee actions is a better way to manage them. He gives Chris (Jenni's husband) a "to-do" list. If the items are accomplished in a timely manner then so be it. If there isn't enough work for 2 people then why was "new" Chris hired?

Sushi?? I didn't know you did raw Asian.

So we should chew thoroughly before we swallow? Is it ever ok to skip "chew" and go directly to "swallow"?? I hope so because I've ben cheating for quite awhile. Oh Mary, don't ask!!

Your cabbie didn't thank you?? Maybe it was the paper you gave him. Next time give him the New York Blade or HX or even Architectual Digest. You see it's all about the "quality" of the tip!!

Personally I love Jeff Lewis. I think he's really a sweetheart and just does things to see how folks will react. My dads like that though so I guess I'm use to it. As for the nanny cam thing, well since the folks were slacking his instincts were right now weren't they? It's a shame poor Jenni is going to be hurt by it, but lets face it Chris (Jennis)was taking advantage of Jeff, and prying into Jeffs personal things. Its Jeffs home as well as his office and business he has a right to protect those things and no one seems to be complaining so much about how Chris was abusing him... Jeff trusts those people they should respect that, and the cam wouldn't have been needed. Now the new Chris I just think didn't really know what was going on. He seems to be just a little lost as to how Jeff wants things done, but thats to be expected. My 2 pennies for what they're worth...
Bye Andy, Keep blogging.

actually, i loved that jeff lewis was conflicted about it. like now that he had this powerful information, the info he wanted, he didn't know what to do about it. i want to think it was a growing moment for him - realizing that he has such vision when it comes to building a house yet perhaps no vision when it comes to building a relationship. deep.
