The Seafood Guy takes a dive into the sea of blogs:
Cheers and love to all of my supporters throughout the entire season of Top Chef 3: Miami. Did I have a good time? Would I do it again? What am I up to? Who did I like/dislike on the show? Do I really only know how to cook seafood? These are some of the questions I am going to address with my new voice, my unedited voice on the Bravo blogs.
Lets start this little story with a wee bit of a lad we shall call Malarkey. Most of you probably don’t realize this, but that whole cowboy act with the hat and everything, well, it wasn’t an act. You see I actually grew up on a large ranch in central Oregon. Raised by a single mother, my brother and I learned to work hard and fend for ourselves. It was explained to me at an early age that, “he who cooks does not clean,” and this is where my motivation and love of cooking began.
As kids, my brother Palmer and I would raid the freezer and find the best cuts of meat, from our most recent pet cow that had been fattened and sacrificed for the bellies of the boys Malarkey. This is not really as cruel as it sounds, just the way of the land where we are from. From these beginnings my culinary fascination grew.

I'm a huge Top Chef fan and was visiting San Diego last month and the first place I ate was your restaurant. Oceanaire was amazing. best seafood I've ever had. I have to say those judges were bogus for kicking you off before the final episode.

Hey, Brian. Great to see you back! I was one of your regular supporters, and would have loved to see you in the Finale where you belonged. Just promise you won't get too famous and leave Oceanaire! Unless it's to open your own restaurant here in San Diego.

Brian,
It's so nice of you to blog. We all miss watchng you and season 3 chefs cooking. Bravo had it run almost like 24/7. It seemed you guys lived in our house for all these months. You did great in the show. I liked the look of your food. I can't taste it but it sure looked very clean and beautiful. Your cheerful personality sure lighted up the entire show. I felt your pain for you when Tom critized you for your leadership skills. It was really not fair for him being so critical. You tried so hard and did a fantastic job with a very limited money. The producer sure played a very poor game by giving you guys nothing but expecting yall to cook high end food for higher level group. It's totally unfair. We really appreciated you and saw your great effort to pull every thing trhough. The cowboy thing was great, but I could tell you were extremely nervous. Even though you did not win, you are still our fan favorite. Can't wait to read your next blog about seafood.

You were one of the nicer chefs on the show. Sorry you were eliminated as your elk shanks looked great and were enjoyed by many of the cowboys and cowgirls. I thought you should have stayed. Glad you're blogging and I can't wait to read more. Good luck.

Also, your suggestions for things to do at PB were great. Next time my bf and I visit San Diego we will be back to eat at Oceanaire. Thanks for being so cool and take care.
