My right-hand man, Floyd. Let me just start by saying I am so so so proud of this guy. He is working his ass off! We started of at 244 lbs before the show started and now he is down to ___lbs.
I am not going to tell you the answer...you just have to Watch What Happens!

I love the way you train Floyd. I told my girlfriend just now that if i had to have a trainer, it would be YOU! your motivation that was on tonights episode was an inspiration to me. I am a "big" girl and your just the kind of trainer that inspires me to do something about my weight! Throwing away all the junk in my home tonight. If Floyd can do it....SO CAN I!
be well and you hang in there. i am guessing you are going through a really hard time right now. You hang in there and always know Doug is always right there beside you and still your best friend. You are so good too!

Brian - congrats on your upcoming wedding! You absolutely kick butt on the show. I can see that your training technique is tough, but thorough. I would LOVE to see you put out a "bootcamp workout" book or training video. From the few minutes I saw with Floyd - it looked tough, but doable. I've been looking for a bootcamp style workout and I took some notes and I'm going to start incorporating what you were doing.

You are my favorite trainer. I appreciate that you are consistently working hard to train your clients. There is no funny business while working out with you. If I were in L.A. - you would be my pick! I just had a baby and I take notes from your show of things to do to whip myself back in shape.
Keep smiling and shinning. Good luck with your wedding - marriage is spectacular! The wedding will be fun but the MARRIAGE is truly what is worth the wait.

I'm really impressed by your work with Floyd...that was great, brother. I'm 53 and working out, trying to get in shape with a really degenerated lumbar disk. How can I work my gut without stressing my back; and how can I strengthen my lower back musculature?
I'm tring to bring out my inner Floyd too. :)
Keep up the great work, buddy...really enjoying the show.

Hey, Brian. (I just wrote on your "Until Tomorrow" blog because this one wasn't up yet. It just popped up). Seeing u intereact with Floyd in this episode I can tell what a great trainer u are. U really want all your clients to succeed. The overall show this season is alot deeper than last seasons with your Skylab clients.
About next weeks show, as soon as I saw the promo with u and yøur fellow trainers crying I lost it. It f-cking sucks! I'm at a loss for words. I don't understand life alot of the times. I constantly struggle to figure out why things happen the way they do. What I say is "WE MUST FEEL TO HEAL". So let it all out. I sure do. He was a great guy. I hope the show really pushes the organization that is set up in his name. He deserves it and so much good will come of it.
On television, all anyone ever talks about is bad role models. When they go into rehab or beat up on somebody. It's like they say on network news, "the only news is bad news." Doug was such a positive role model for so many- gay or straight. He deserves to have the same attention. Good will come of this!!!! It still f-cking sucks.

I enjoy the show, and my heart goes out to everyone about Doug. You are my favorite in the show (ok, I love Jackie and really adored Doug too) and I just want you to know that I really cheered for you when everyone had to go into the water tank and you had the best body fat analysis! Not that I doubted it for a moment...
Bye for now,

I don't even want to watch next week because I just love Doug on the show and even though I know the show is real, a part of me thinks that if I don't watch the episode where he passes, then it won't seem so real.
Doug seems like such a kind, genuine, caring guy. I loved that he told Laurie that he didn't just want to be her trainer, he wanted to be her best friend. That's HUGE, and speaks volumes about the kind of person he was.
I am sorry for your loss. And it's good to know that even though he didnt have his parents. and things between he and Cheo were strained, he had you as his brother and his friend.
And on another note, even though I really like and admire Jackie, I told my husband that if I were blessed enough to have the means and opportunity to work out at Sky, I would want you as my trainer, because it's obvious that you are damn good at what you do.

But seriously, I would like to start off by wishing you success and prosperity in all the endeavors in life!! Also, I DREAD next weeks episode....
Before even seeing the preview I knew that at Doug's passing the immense pain and anguish you trainers must have gone through well, one million and five words can't describe....
We saw the special "individual" bond he had with all of you, from the illuminating hike he had with Zen last season to partaking in blowing out birthday wish candles with Erika. Oh and of course watching him giggle while Rebecca talked about what kind of pictures she would have postered all over her walls. Apparent also was the sharp attention Doug seemed to bring to you wanting to be a better person, friend and Man to all.
You always say " Doug is my mentor" well, just remember, he is and will be through all the endeavors of your life. Good Luck.
Since I don't blog please tell Zen that "She is the crumbs you lick off your fingers after eating a bag a chips"!! HOT

He seemed like such a kind, wise, gentle soul and I feel that he could have helped you temper your anger and come more fully into yourself.
I can't conceive of the grief you've been going through, but I can tell you that you're in all of our thoughts - everyone at the gym is. I'm not looking forward to next week's episode, seeing you all in such pain. I hope you are finding ways to cope with the loss of your friend. It was clear you loved each other very much, and it speaks volumes about you that you were willing to talk on-camera about how close you were to him. Initially, I figured you might have been homophobic, but you made me realize that making assumptions about anyone is just asking for a karmic ass-kicking.
By the way...in last week's episode, when you slipped in the snow...I think I rewound that about 12 times. Boof! Boof! Boof! It was a thing of beauty, man.

Maybe Doug helped you in some way, I felt so bad for you guys when they showed the previews for next weeks show, I know it is going to be a hard one to watch. I liked Doug so much too, he was such a down to earth guy and so concerned about everyone he knew. It hurt to see how bad he felt when he and Jesse weren't getting along and you could see it in his eyes how hurt he was, I am glad they took care of things between the two of them before this horrible thing happened. I send you my deepest sympathy.

Hi Brian!
First let me say that WORKOUT is my favorite show on TV.
I just want to say that I think you are an AMAZING trainer. Of all the trainers on the show, you really stand out as an unbelievable, skillful professional. I wanna train with you!!! The only problem is, I live in Chicago. :( Actually, I have trained with a gazillion trainers in my 25 years, but none of them have that hard core, in-your-face, postivie energy, X-factor that you have. I have about 10 pounds to go and you would probably give me the best body of my life. Maybe when I move to LA in January. :)
I also want to tell you that I think you have really put yourself out there as a person and I give you so much credit. I respect your willingness to grow, and show your sensitive and compassionate side and I relate to you on many personal levels.
Congrats on Floyd!!! He seems like such a sweetheart and I hope he acheives his highest mountain because he deserves it. And congrats on your engagement! That's awesome. You deserve the best as well.
Just wanted to put out there my genuine thoughts. Keep rockin' it out, and I'll keep watchin'.

Dear Brian, First let me say that I am sorry for your loss. Doug and you seemed to have a friendship that no one could match or overcome. I seen the preveiws for next weeks show and started to cry. I guess a part of me didn't want to think about Doug's passing because there is no way GOD could take away such a beautiful person!! My grandfather used to tell me that things happen for a reason and I was to work with what I have. He was a wise man, and so was Doug. They look down on us everyday and smile because they know we will go on for us and them.
CONGRATS on getting married!!!! She's a very lucky woman!! Good luck with the wedding and I hope we get to see some pictures of the big day!
And I have to comment on the "Jackie & Rebecca" deal. I respect the two of them for doing what they want. One the other hand, I don't feel that Jackie should be dating any of her employees, or clients for that matter. I know she is the boss and no one can tell her what to do, but it doesn't show very good work ethics to her employees. All the trainers are taking the news of the two of them quite well, with the exception of Jessi. He's just a little over protective of Jackie, has some compelling points.
I know what I say is just my opinion, and poeple can take it the way they want. And before I get bashed for saying these things, I am a lesbian! Jackie is in a position that gives lesbians a chance to say that "We Are People Too!" I am from a small town in Pennslyvania and we have a little saying that goes..."Don't sh!t where you eat". Basicly, don't date co-workers.. let alone one of your employees. It will come back to bite you in the @ss in the end. And if it works out for hem in the end, GREAT!
Thanks fo being you and good luck. Hope to train with you one day. Peace and Love from PA!!!

I have to admit it took a whole for me to warm up to you (and the show), but now I think you're THE BEST.
I loved the relationship you had with Doug, so it will be difficult to watch next week's episode. (I have to say that Bravo's promotional clips for it are a bit tacky -- I know it's a TV show, but they could treat the whole thing with a bit more decorum. Not that this is a reflection on you, Brian. You are a beautiful person.)
Wish you were my trainer.

There was something so positive and sensible about him that attracted me to him like many other viewers. Its very sad to see such a wonderful person leave this earth. I dont know how long it has been since his passing but I know you were very close to him and I just wanted to give my condolences. Best Wishes.

I know that you truly loved Doug and my prayers go out to you and of course everyone else that has ever been "touched" by him. He was one of the most compassionate, kind, and just down right kind people that I have ever watched on TV. I am sure he was 100 times better when you were actually a friend of Doug's.
Remember that Doug will be there at your wedding in spirit and I know you will feel him so please allow yourself to open up and accept that he will guide you and surround you with the same love and kindness he did while he was physically on this earth. Next weeks episode is going to be hard and I already have cried and I cannot even fathom that he will not be on the show.
You will have a wonderful wedding and I know that you are in pain but at least Doug was in your life and you were able to love him unconditionally and hold on to your memories.
Blessings,

This show could be different than all those other superficial shows because your helping to change peoples lives. THAT'S WHAT YOUR EVERYDAY PERSON WILL IDENTIFYE WITH. U guys are good trainers. I told my trainer that no matter how difficult the training session may seem at times it is only happening because the trainer cares about his/her clients. Keep on doing what you are doing with your training. You know your stuff! In a different note, I am sorry about Doug's passing. I know that you were affected by his passing. Remember, God does what he does for a good reason. You may not see it now but time will bring healing to you and the rest of the trainers. God Bless You, Angel

Thank you for your post on Doug's death. I had not been checking the blogs until I saw the upcoming previews for tomorrows episode. I was shocked! I couldn't sleep all night. All I could think about was how he had said this was his last birthday and he was dreading it and then it really happened. Not knowing he was sick for a while it just seemed so surreal. Now, thanks to you, I know why such a great person was taken so soon! How are you coping and how is his ex-partner dealing with Doug's ? How are the other trainers coping?
Good luck with your wedding and opening your own gym someday. You seem like a really nice person and I am glad you and Floyd have become so close. I am sure it helps after losing Doug. Take care

Brian, I think you're just awesome. Why? Your honesty, your generous nature, your down-to-earth-ness (is that even a word?), and your realness. You're genuine, and that shows. I love how you train Floyd, and you two are such a great time. I forget what made me more upset about tonights episode, the pending news of Doug's health decline, or your reaction to it. I think maybe I'm just a little envious of your relationship. I've never had that w/ a guy. But it's been great to see you two interact on the last season and part of this one.
On another note, what do you tell someone who just has an off day (or week?) with going to the gym? What do they say to themselves? I've lost about 100lbs, and have that much more to go (I started at over 400, and I want to be about 200 w/ muscle tone). But man, some days are just abysmal in my own head. I'm my own worst enemy sometimes. Other times I'm like the lost trainer who works out 24/7. haha Thanks bro. Peace.

You are an awesome trainer. You are very passionate about what you do and your clients. Your clients seem to enjoy working out with you and that says something about you. You may be tough but you are good, passionate, and care and your clients see that so they put as much into the work out as you put into it. I think that you are just an absolutely fabulous trainer and I think you have a fun attitude which makes your work outs fun but your dedicated and it makes your work outs more meaningful to the client. If I lived anywhere near SkySport I would come work out with you, I would love for you to train me or give me tips to work out myself at the gym where I live, but I live no where near where y'all are.

Hey Brian,
I just finished watching the episode which you got the news that Doug is really sick and might not make it. It was heart wrenching to watch you telling the gang and how upset you were. I cried so much that I am writing this email with swollen, post crying eyes. I knew that Doug had passed away because I have logged onto the website and also saw the memoir at the end of an earlier episode. Unbelievable! So sad. He seemed like an awesome dude. True friendship is one of life's greatest gifts.
I love the show and am so bummed that next week is the last episode for Season 2. I want more! The show is really interesting and so motivating. I now want a trainer! I just got married this past fall and sometimes I'd put myself thru alittle mini boot camp in my basement. You are a great guy! Love your sense of humor! You were killing me with KiKi! I think you are so awesome with Floyd. I can tell you give 110% You did a great job running the gym while Jackie was in Ohio. I think this past episode gave us a chance to get to know you better and see your true personality. I love the southern accent. Good luck with the marriage. It's a lot of fun but work too. I dated my husband for awhile before we got married and my best advice is to always make time to talk and have no matter how tired and busy you get with work. Laughter is essential!! :) I know you'll have a great marriage if how you treat your clients is an reflection.
P.S. I've never posted a comment before on a reality website but felt moved after seeing tonight's show. I love, love the show!! So much positive energy and good people!
Take Care and don't stress over wedding details (they can be grueling)

I've recently joined a Gym for the first time ever and I am hoping to gain confidence and get in shape as well. Of course, I would love to be tained by you or one of the trainers on the show!!! I was diagnosed with MS 6 years ago and I never really focused on my body as far as working out and being in shape. I have always been self-conscious of my body, sometimes in unhealthy ways. I need to have balance in my life and learn to love myself and have a goal. I have been a little frustrated for a little while since I started working out, because I have gained 4 pounds. I didn't want to gain weight, but I wanted to lose about 10 to 15 punds and tone my body.
The episode where you announced that Doug was very ill and later we learned that he passed away was very touching and emotional and I am sorry for your loss. I teared up when you cried and I felt your pain! He was an awesome guy and had alot of awesome friends
Keep doing what you do best. The more I watch the show the more motivated I get to take care of myself and I feel good after I work out!!
Thanks,
