Well, I am an outdoor sports kind of guy. So as soon as it warms up I hit the lake and go water skiing and wakeboarding. Because this take so much strength and energy to do. I start hitting the gym hard and doing more cardio. I change my diet also. I add a lot more carbs into it for energy.
Now, if you're not doing anything with the extra energy you're taking in ... it will just turn to fat. So beware. I also try to do a lot of stretching to keep myself loose in case I fall hard, that way my body will be able to take it.

Hey Peeler - You guys have posted some great training tips, but could you also give us some ideas on what you all are eating throughout the day? I've been able to lose 4% body fat from eating every three hours (something I never thought would happen) but I'm not gaining much muscle even though I've been training w/ weights. Should I look into supplements (do the girls take anything in addition to regular food??) Tx! Margaret

Brian you said on the show that Jessie acted like Jack from Will and Grace (jumping on the already moving ban wagon).
But on the same note does that make you Brian from Queer as Folk? You have the same attitude and handle situations very similar to his character.
On the Kinsey scale you would hit the macho homosexual who hasn't admitted it to himself or maybe just not to everyone else. (Hetroflexible.)
At least Jessie has come to terms with himself.

I would have never thought you would be like this in a million years. You only got to see me being wreckless. Now this year you get to see the way I am 90% of the time. I am your best friend. Just like Doug always said "I want to be your best friend". this is why we hit it off so well. Great minds think alike. Sometime my mind spoke out loud and got me into trouble. hehehehe

Brian, this is Larry from Columbus, Ohio. I just wanted to say that you were such a good friend to Doug. I've watched your tribute to Doug on your myspace website to " Over the Rainbow" and- though I'm a man- it brings a tear to eye everytime I watch it. HE LOVED YOU BRIAN!!! He's looking down from heaven right now and smiling at you. It's obvious how much he meant to you.
It's completely weird to me 'cause I never meant Doug but I feel such anger that he's gone. There are so many shitty people in this world. Why take Doug? I don't understand it. I tell people about the show and I want to talk about Doug's death because it really bothers me & all I get is "it's a tv show". But it wasn't because Doug was a real person. To acually mourn the death of a person you don't even know is weird. I can't help it. I really liked him as a person. He was such a nice guy who cared about everybody. I wish I would have known him. Let's face it there aren't too many people left in this world like him. I really think that he is a Hero! He definetly touched me and affected my life.
So here I am, letting it all out for the world to see, 'cause all I have is this stupid computer to talk to and the feelings I have in my head. I don't care. I didn't know him but I really cared about the guy. WHERE ARE U DOUG? The world needs u back man. God love u. But u already know that 'cause your already with him!!!

Hi Brian,
I was so moved by last nights show and I just watched it again this morning and felt just as bad. I don't know why Doug made such an impression on me, I suppose because he was such a caring, real person, I hate it that he is gone and I didn't even know him personally so it has to be really hard for you guys.
I tried telling my daughter about the show and couldn't even talk about Doug because I was crying too much, really weird. You seemed like a good friend of his and I am glad that you were there for him when he was having a hard time with Jesse.
I love Jackie and you guys have to convince her that it is not classy to be making out with Rebecca, it seems way above her to be doing this. I know it is her life but she is doing this for all of us to see and it just doesn't seem like her, she deserves to have all the fun she wants and after 5 crappy years with the bitch Mimi, she has it coming but she needs to keep some of it private.
LOve, Love the show

your friendship with him seemed so true and i feel for you as its always harder for the ones who are left behind
i love the show and i am hoping that Jackie stops this behavior
with rebecca and that the show continues on a different road more geared to what i think it was supposed to be about which is peopel who have weight and body issues and you all who help them succeed , hope you stay on the show as you are one of the stars

Hi,
I like the show, although I wish it was more centered on the training stuff and less on Jackie's sex life. Jackie has done something that I didn't think possible, she has made you look like a sympathetic charcter. Jackie comes across, at least in the last few episoides, as being more about herself and not caring about others feelings too much. She wants people to see the world as she see it and if they don't, well then they must be wrong. I liked when she had to objectively look at the body fat count to see that you had less body fat than Doug. I like it when her world gets punctured by reality.
For whatever it is worth, I workout daily and use a trainer. However, I don't have a lot of healthy recipes for my blender. I would like more, such as what are good protein powders to use, amount of this and that. If you could post it that would be great. I think Jessie might be a good person to ask too. My trainer would know too, but I don't like to take time from working out--I like to keep the sessions focused.
Thanks for sharing your life with us.

You got to be kidding me. I watched the first season and now season 2. You are one of the most annoying people on the show. Why is it the only one talking of your "hands of M.A." is you? You bring as much drama as does Jesse, but from him I expect it. I can relate to Doug. I too am a 41yo trainer, and gay. Very fit and in shape. And if you really did look up to him, stop your petty drama. You thought you were like Jackie, then not as she slams you every time you try to get a dig at her. Try to be more humble, as Doug appeared to be on the show. You were jealous of Jesse last season. I thought you were out of line to "stir the pot" between Doug and Jesse at the auction which was not the time or place for the drama to take place. You really need to grow up and get over yourself.

Kudos to you for telling Jessie he is like Jack in Will and Grace...he is Jack! That was too funny!
I am disappointed that I had to find out about Doug 's death on the internet since that episode has not been aired here (next week?)....not cool!
What a great man...morals aside, he seemed to be a great inspiration to people and had a heart of gold. I am sorry for your loss.
Assuming your straight, I also wanted to point out that I am impressed that for once a straight guy can help a beautiful girl workout and not hit on her or google her. Wow, you were great…we need more guys like that.
It's hard not to question yourself it you are not receiving positive comments from your boss but remember that Jackie wouldn’t have you as one of her trainers if she didn’t think highly of you… Focus on the workout not the drama… good job!
