Hi Brian-
I have really enjoyed watching you on the show- I can tell you are a real softy. I think you were a great friend to Doug. What a loss that is, and it probably is still difficult now to think about. I'm confused about what his illness really was, but time will tell if we're supposed to know. He was an amazing guy.

Anyway- Happy Monday- and take care.

Dear Peeler, I hate to exercise! What's your best advice to get someone motivated and stay motivated?

Hey Rob,

I enjoy watch all you trainers on Work out. I really like the episode you and Jackie have a disagreement at Jackies house warming party. I am on same emotional level as you dealing with the boss. You really handle thoses kind of situtions on the job. Yea i can say it is very hard workig for a women as a boss. I really enjoy you and the rest of the trainers you really adress real subjects everyone deals with at any job etc. Maybe you all should try a third season. This show is fabulious it is way better then the reruns on VH1 about New York bachularette show like the Flavor,Flavor show where see the New York get's dumped by Flavor flav. Bravo seems to have more to watch then the other channels with real people.

Peeler,
I really enjoy the show. I think that I am starting to get you. I grew up and still live in a small town not far from Salisbury.Maybe it's a southern thing ,or maybe it's just the way that we are raised .If I'm wrong i will be the first to admit it and apologize. But, if I'm right I will fight to the death to prove that I'm right. I see that in you also. I am truly sorry for the loss of Doug. Can't wait till tomorrow for the new episode.
Best wishes,
Gwen

Brian,

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for giving the details of Doug's passing. I haven't really been reading the blogs, and when I do, I only have time to read some of what Jackie writes to see if she gives any info on Doug. I was one of those who wondered why you nor any of the other trainers do more to locate Doug when he went "MIA" and now I have to say to you that I am sorry for my doubts. You were really a true friend to Doug, and it seems like you continue to be his friend even in his passing. You should take pride in that. Don't get me wrong...I do think that your a cocky one, but that just goes to show everyone that there are many different sides to each and every one of us. It gives a whole new meaning to, "Don't judge a book by it's cover." And you know, I have found this to be true as well...I am from the south, and I believe alot of people who are NOT true southerners misunderstand our southern humor/charm/personality as being sometimes hateful, rude or cocky, when really we are just being.....our spontaneous, outstanding, sweet, southern selves. Thanks again.

Work out is a great show and you are by far my favorite of all the featured trainers. I like your training style-tough and sweet all in one. And you are funny. It is a pleasure watching you, and I look forward to the episodes to come.

Take Care-

You put your heart into your clients and that is so admirable. You have so much more heart than what people would think when they first look at you. Go Floyd!! You have no idea how much this show inspires me. I watch each episode a couple of times each week to get me through. Yes I do have a life!! Work Out is inspiration and strength for me. Keep it up!!

Hey Brian,

I watch the show all the time and never knew you were from Salisbury. WOW! Grew up here myself. Still here. Probably know you or something as small as Salisbury is (lol). Anyway, I just wanted to wish you some "Bury" love. Good luck to all your future projects.

I jsut want to say I am really sorry about Doug. I read as much as I can find on what happened. I am a teacher and a counselor. I ahve a non profit org. that does grief counseling. Wish I could have helped you and the other trainers. Not sure I can watch next week. But, I will. I know it has only been 4 months. I have helped a lot of people. I know Jackie probably got help for you guys, but I am a samll town boy from Wisconsin, but know my grief. My prayers are with you.

I think the show has taken on so much more this season. Last season, a lot of the show was about Jackie and her imature love thing Mimi. This year it just seems that everyone is opening up more and talking about real life issues. This is especially true at the Lake Arrowhead retreat. Of coarse, their is no more serious issue than life and death. Unfortunately, due to a horrible circumstance, Dougs passing has thrown the show into a whole new level. I saw the preview to next weeks episode in which u guys find out that Doug dies. I think I would a let out such a loud scream it would have been heard for miles. As a viewer, all u can do is set and watch this trajedy as it unfolds. It is extremely unpleasant but before we can heal we must feel. My heart goes out to all at Sky Sport. It's a horrible loss. I do hope that everyone is reminded that Doug, because of his character and acts of kindness, has prompted people to take action on his behalf and start the Doug Blasdell Outreach Program which will do so much good for the world. People have to remember that and promote that organization as much as possible. He deserves it. So remember people, if u can find it in your hearts please donate. Tell your friends about it to. Together we can find some way to turn this trajedy into something good.

I missed last week's episode so I did not know about Doug until just now 'cause I read "doug passes away" in the directv guide. I am totally shocked. He was my favorite person on the show (sorry, I like you too), and it's so weird because of his parents and his age and all that. It's like some weird sort of destiny or something. But I could tell he had a huge heart, and for you to care about him the way you do/did is very moving. I'll be trying to catch that episode in the re-runs so I can cry along with you all. It's weird when you care about people you only know through the stupid tv, but it's just a fact. I'm so sorry to all of you for your loss. It was truly a huge loss.

Hey Michaelangelo,
I have never written a blog before so bear with me! I have also never connected with a show, let alone a reality show before and have found that I am loving every minute of it and anticipating the next episodes. I actually was on this website a few weeks ago and was shocked to hear of Doug's passing. Not to be another typical 'blogger', but the connection that not only you and Doug have, but the rest of the trainers as well, is something to be so proud of. Have I cried watching these past couple episodes with Doug and everyone else? Yes! Even though I'm a chick, you have no idea what its like to watch a show and then feel like you're a part of the team, with all the ups and the downs. But remember that there will always be a team, no matter who goes or stays. So please know that I speak on behalf of so many people that, through viewing this show, support you and your loss of a truly great companion. S#@t happens but deep down, you will always feel you are a better person having known someone like Doug Blaisdell. He brought a light to SkySport that now one could ever outshine. At the end of the day, look how many people across the world know the Doug that you and the staff know. Remember that you brought out a loving and strong role model in him and vice versa. Thanks for showing that sensitivity with him and we are all the better for having the opportunity to get to know, even a little, of Doug.

Doug really appeared to be a honest, caring & heartfelt man!! Not to mention, he has the BEST bod among you other men!! :)

I know he will be truly missed & commend you for showing all of your raw emotions at this truly hard time...

God Bless all of you @ Skysports! I hope you remember him & all of the good parts of him.

Brian, Jesse, Jackie, Rebecca, Gregg, Zen and all of the Skysport team... You are an incredible group of people to watch because you come right through the screen and touch the viewer with your beautiful spirits. I LOVE watching you all, and loved Doug, too. And I am a 60 year old woman, so know that your inner light reaches many many people of all kinds. The memorial bikeride and campfire for Doug were heartwrenching to watch, but thanks for sharing with us all. Can I somehow get the words of wisdom Doug carried in his wallet? I would love to have them. Thanks to all of the Workout cast, producers and crew for a truly EXTRAORDINARY experience from TV. You have created a thing of great beauty!

I was very sad to see what happened to such a wonderful man such as Doug. I am confused like so many as to what really happened to him. I saw the reunion show tonight and it stated you put everything out on your blog. I cannot find it. What happened to Doug????

Missy wrote:

I often watch the show and I just wanted to say that I was especially touched by your closeness with Doug and his sudden passing. I was especially touched because my son was born at 1:04 the day Doug died. He was a month early and had to spend some time in the NICU. Everytime I watch the show and you guys talk about Doug, I just look at my son. He is so little and has so much life yet. I have always heard that everytime someone passes away, a baby is born. Althought I am sure my son is not the only baby born on that day, Doug's story has a special place in my heart.

Layne wrote:

Brian, I have watched the show since day one, and just loved Doug, he was so inspiring and I really related to him, his personality was magical. He really touched me - just seeing the way he was with a couple of the trainers in season one, he seemed like a very special person. I remember watching his birthday party when he and Erika blew out the candles (he insisted she share the birthday celebration) and he said aboutt his parents. I dont know why I felt so connected but I definitely did, and I was just blown away when I read before season 2 began that he had passed. I remember feeling sick when I read it. I was dumbfounded. I cried like a baby when you broke down at the end of the show. I just wanted you to know that you have shown such a different side of your personality through all this and you have become my absolute hands down favourite . You really stepped up . So many people will be thinking of you as you go back home to get married and I hope you will find the blessing in meeting someone like Doug and how much you have grown by just having him for a friend even if it was cut short. He would be so proud of the way you behaved and dealt with all the gossip. You have shown him how much you really learned from him. I have written down the list you gave of Dougs, his rules for life - I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your thoughts and his words, especially the humming bird story it gave me chills when you told that. I am sure that more people than you can even begin to imagine have been touched by your sharing. !!!!! God Bless you and your future wife, have a wonderful happy day. You deserve it... Congratulations. Love, Luck and happiness always.
