And The Saga Continues

My first observation is that everyone needs to get off Jesse's back. So what if his body fat is a bit high, he just graduated from culinary school! That is awesome considering I can only make four things -- oatmeal, chicken breasts, egg-whites and steamed veggies.

I wish he would cook for me sometime.

Now I must admit that i was totally freaking out about getting into a bathing suit on national television. That's why I wore a sexy Speedo! (Note: Read Rebecca's blog to hear what she thought of Erika in her Speedo.) I actually do swim in that thing when I do laps in the pool for an hour or when I swim in the ocean. Bikinis tend to fall off at the beach. I try to keep in shape all year, but still you never know how your body is going to look on camera...Yikes!

Well, I respect your point of view about Jesse's body fat, and I completely agree with you. I too, felt that it was great to see both Jesse and Doug apologize to one another, even though I believe that doug did nothing wrong.... It was great to hear your outlook on the latest episode!

Hugs,
Jude

I love the show and can watch the reruns over and over again.

BUT I'm curious as to why no one has mentioned in their blogs what happened to Doug, how did he die? I've tried to look it up and can't really get any info. Please let us know what happened with Doug. I loved him, he seemed like such a great guy.

erika you are so rad! (havent used that word in a while!! haha) you seem to always make your clients feel like they are the only ones in the room and i like how you always make each one of them feel beautiful. i respect how you stay out of the drama and i wish you the best of luck in your life! :)

Erika,

It's great seeing all the trainers and Jackie again. How many episodes will Work Out have this season? Hope your screen time is a bit more than last season. I'm looking forward to Season 2.

I was shocked and saddened by his death. He was such a genuine soul who really seemed interested in those around him. Can't imagine how hard it is for everyone seeing Doug again.

Best wishes on your continue success.

Erika you are so beautiful! Watching you this week training your client who is suffering from bullimia was inspiring. I have had an eating disorder off and on for 8 years, since I was 16. It has been a huge struggle trying to overcome it but watching you talk about your eating disorder last season made it that much easier. Thank you so much Erika for talking about this issue, it really helps me! You're the best trainer out there!

Hi, Erica it's Larry. I've been trying to hit all the blogs. Why don't we see more of you. Were u busy doing other things during the filming?

Erika,
You are absolutely gorgeous and seem like such a genuinely sweet person.
I have a fitness question for you. There are a few days when all I can only spend 45 minutes in the gym. What exercises do you recommend to be most effective? Should I spend these 45 minutes doing cardio or weights?
Thanks. Love ya!

Erika,

Well you are smokin' hot in that bathing suit and you so did not look like you had eaten a sandwich or any of what you said! I only hope I can get my bodyfat percentage down to where you gals are! My goal is 13% bodyfat and I am 5ft 4in but have no idea what the goal weight or clothes size should be.....I want alot of lean body mass and love the back/arm muscles but not the competitor chicks who have the very large muscled legs.....what do you do for your legs? They look fabulous and not bulky!

You are absolutely stunning! You do look a lot like Angelina Jolie, whom I absolutely adore! Keep up the great work and hope to see more of you on the show.

Hi Erika,

My name is ericka too lol! Anyway, today was the first time i watched work out, and i am absolutely hooked. I wanted to write to you to tell you how awesome i think it is that you are open about your struggles with bulimia, and how much it helped me just to get through my day. I have been battling bulimia for eight years, and just recently finished up a second round of intensive inpatient treatment. I am trying soooo hard to get my life somewhat on track and to find a 'healhty and normal' way of eating and exercise. I wish I could have a trainer like you!

Thanks for sharing.

I really respect how you handle yourself on television. Drama seems to be high this season.
How come no one has addressed Doug looking ill on the show?
I did not know he was gone until I saw the credit to him on the show but I kept thinking when I was watching that he looked sick. It was in his eyes.
Keep up the great work. Hopefully I will be inspired as I was last season to get working on my fat. :) At the moment, I am still in the thinking about it stage. :)

Erika,
I really think you're cool!! I love how you refuse to immerse yourself in drama!!

But I'm most impressed in how you counsel your clients that have physical illnesses or eating disorders. I've never had an eating disorder; however, I've had other physical problems. I wish you were closer to the midwest. I'd love to train with you.

Thanks for being real and being a good friend to the other trainers.

You Rock!!

Hi Erika,

I've been struggling with anorexia binge/purge subtype for 12 years. I'm 24. I've been hospitalized more than 10 times, each stay lasting an average of 2 months. I am currently doing a little better. I am writing because I was so inspired by your approach with the young woman who drive 8 hours to train with you. This show is so inspiring. I have a good history of physical fitness, but I have had to take many breaks from physical activity due to weakness from my eating disorder. I love exercise because it makes me feel strong, healthy, capable, and more comfortable in my body. I am very interested in learning more about how you have helped the young woman with bulimia. I'm also interested in learning how to balance exercise so that it's healthy, but I don't go overboar d and become obsessive.
I want to find a trainer in my area (Saint Louis, MO) who can help me in the same way that you have helped the lady on Workout.

Beside that topic, I think you seem friendly and I really enjoy watching you on the show. It doesn't seem like your success has changed you in any negative ways.

Hi, I love your program, keep doing a great job. I have a question for you, I'm trying to define my muscle but I'm confuse with the routines because rigt now I'm doing 5 days in the gym Mon,Wed,Fri Chest,Biceps,Triceps,Abs
Tue,Thu,Sat
Back,Legs,Shoulder,Abs
but in some articles and reading differents routines in the internet they said that you have to work different muscle each day so you can't repeat any muscle except abs the same week ??? or we only need to let rest the muscle worked for 24 to 48 hours to gain mass??? Its funcional only works the biceps one day a week???

This is my big question for you, How do you split your routine??
Thanks for your help,FMF from Puerto Rico

Hey Erika,

Just one comment .... It's hard to imagine that you are single. You're bright, funny, tasteful and unbelievably beautiful - Yes, I am a fan of yours. All I can say is ... if I lived in LA, I'd have to find someone to introduce us.

Best of luck to you.

Hi Erica, so glad you're on the show. You very professional and cool. You don't get into all the high school drama of the show.
I love Jackie, but not with her dating an employee or fratenizing with the gang all the time. She's a great role model, but I like when she's the leader and not one of the gang. Anyway, keep up the great workouts! You're an inspiration each week.

WOW, If Erika is nervous about wearing a swimsuit in public.. 99% of the worlds population has no chance of ever being comfortable! (including me)
Erika is so freaking hot, it's interesting that she has the same issues as everyone else!

Jessica pierce wrote:

I personally don't mind about Jessi's body fat issues, but I believe that Jackie is right. If I am paying all that money to train at a high end place, I want my trainer to look like they know what they are talking about when they are coaching me to build my body. Yes, he just graduated from culinary school, but as a trainer, he knows what he should and shouldn't eat. He can make the stuff, but he doesn't necessaraly have to eat it.

Hannah wrote:

Your so cool. I can only cook a view things too but people don't think any less of me but maybe that's because I'm still in school. You are so gorgeus. People tell me I look like you and I take that as a complement and you should never have issues like that. You are beautiful.

Cory wrote:

In regards to your comments about Jesse's body fat ... I understand that the Fitness world is brutal and sometimes harsh, but Jesse needs to understand what industry he is in and what that entails. I mean, would you take financial advice from someone making $30,000/year and has more than that in debt ... of course not. I would not want a personal trainer that doesn't look like they work out themselves. The point of a personal trainer is to motivate, teach and push you, but also to inspire you. People want a personal trainer they can respect and strive to achieve the physical success their personal trainer has. I can certainly understand Jackie's concern about Jesse's physical fitness. It's not a hit against him as a person because I'm sure he's a great guy, but I think he just needs to understand what the Fitness world entails.

You are so beautiful. I love your jaw line and your smile. You are one of the reasons why I watch the show. Your smile just lights up a room. You're very breathtaking. We are the same age. Are you dating anyone? If so, he is a very VERY lucky guy. If not, I'm available. I graduated a few years ago with honors with a degree in Architecture and I would love to "build" a friendship with you. E-mail me if you have time. I would love to get to know you on a personal level.

Best wishes to you and your family.

I watch the show all the time and love all of you! Erika, you are stunning. People say you look like Ang Jolie, I think you look BETTER than her...by far! I was saddened to hear about Doug. He was amazing and I'm just shocked that he is gone. I wish you would all have a chance to tell "the fans" what he meant to you. We haven't been totally informed and we are wondering what happened. I wish you much luck with the show and remember...you could always be a TOP model if you decided to change careers. SERIOUSLY!!! luv u lots!

Erika,
I remember a friend of mine saying that the only reason that he was not married to Cindy Crawford was that they had never met. Well, I think that would apply to us. No, I'm not saying that we would be certain to marry, but I think we would make a great couple. I am 39 and have a Ph.D. in Exercise Science. I hear that you like smart guys. Well, I do ok in that area, but most of all I am a really nice guy that is looking forward to finding a woman that he is crazy about and then treat her right. I realize that this sounds a bit odd, but I would really like to chat with you. My name is Mark and hope to hear back from you. If not, then I wish you all the best. You can't blame a guy for trying. Who knows, maybe Cindy Crawford would have dated my friend. Take care.
