And the Drama Gets Even Hotter

I never knew that my boss was such a P-I-M-P and is turning straight girls out left and right! Tiffany?? I never would have guessed. She is always so shy and reserved at the gym. As the old saying goes, watch out for the quiet ones!

I really don't understand why all the trainers are getting their panties in a wad over Rebecca and Jackie hooking up. Leave them alone to do their own thing. I just want to train clients and not get involved in other people's lives. It ain't my business. I do think it is a bit of a risk on Rebecca's behalf because if things were to go wrong, then it could potentially jepordize her job. Sushi Dan was a bit crazy to say the least!

i totally agree with you on leaving jackie and rebecca alone it is their business and i don't see why it's such a big deal.

As far Rebecca and Jackie hooking up I believe it has more to do with Rebecca's need to constantly be adored. I do not believe it has anything to do with love or wanting a relationship with Jackie. Though I could be wrong I can only judge by what I see on the show. Now from the looks of it she likes the attention Jackie gives her and well who cares if she the same sex the attention feels too good. Jackie knows this and I asume will only keep it psychical. As long as they both are on the same page everone will be fine. I think that the way some of the trainers acted at the sushi resturant was wrong. There is a place and a time for expressing concerns. Jesse is realizing that he may not be in that number one position any more and well the burst of emotion. He talks way too much and says way to little.Oh well no drama with you yet keep it up.

Erika, you are the consumate professional and I really respect the role you play in the gym. I just found out about Doug's passing. I can't tell you how heartbroken I was to read about it. I am a big girl: 244 and only 5'3. I don't know what I am going to about it at this point. Watching thin, in-shape trainers that have a heart for people in my situation really helps lift me up. It's easy to assume you're despised and an irritation to people that look like you guys do when you have your on family disgusted by your shape and condition. Thanks for swinging a little hope this way.

I see trouble ahead. As the owner of the gym she shouldnt be going out for drinks with the employees. I own a business and I hung out with some clients. I now have a rule NEVER NEVER mix buisness with pleasure. She is losing the respect of her staff. She needs to set boundraies FAST with clients and employees

I agree with everything u said about Doug. What a great human being he was. I know he didn't have any family left and just hope that when he was ill he was surrounded by people who loved him. I'm sure there was plenty. I think that u are a good person yourself and really care about your clients. I'm not so sure about your friendship with Jesse though. He doesn't seem to be as giving a person as Doug was. He holds too many grudges and judges people way too easy. He is also somewhat of an instagator like when he called Rebecca a slut last year. Maybe this is just how the camera portrays him. Anyway, I love the show. It is my total addiction right now. I've never blogged before this show but after I found out about Doug's death I just had to say something. MY HERO!!! I take his kind behavior as an example of how we all should act as human beings. I hope that his ex-partner Chao is doing OK with his kidney problems and is willing to cope with Dougs loss. Something good will come out of this. There should be some sort of programs set up in his name to help people. That way even in death he will be helping people and I don't think anything could make him any happier. You are a beautiful girl with a great body! Take care.

Erika, I just wanted to tell you that I just love watching you on the show. You are incrediby beautiful, but I'm pretty sure you've been told that a gazillion times before, but it doesn't hurt to hear it again, right?! I also adore your mellow and intelligent persona, you're one of the main reasons why I watch the show. I don't wanna sound like one of those obsessed fans or anything, (trust me, I'm not like that at all)... just wanted to say what was on my mind. I even feel like getting a membership there at Skylab so you can be my personal trainer, but unfortunately I'm a bit far. The girl that you're training that lives all the way in Nevada, I give her props... you're definitely worth the drive. By the way, are you with anyone? I don't remember coming across an episode mentioning your love life. If you are, they should be proud to have you in their life. I know I would be. I'm wishing you all the best of luck and happiness that the world has to offer, because that's what you truly deserve. Hopefully, you get to read this personally. Take it ez! I'll be watching (not in a stalker kind of way though, lol).

Erika,
You seem really chill and thats always good. Especially surrounded by all that drama going on!!
I watched off and on last year, but this season I'm hooked! I loved the episode that showed some of the work you are doing with your client Beverly who is traveling to train with you as she recovers from bulimia. I did not know you had a history with eating disorder issues yourself. That is very brave of you to put that out there like that. I have been in recovery from an eating disorder for several years now, and have about three years of good solid recovery under my belt now so that's good. I was sick for 10 years!!! I have been working out and eating clean for about five years (those first two years were still kind of shaky and in ED territory). The problem I have now is that I find so many aspects of my life as a fit person (the diets, the workouts, etc...) seem to remind me of the way things were when I was sick. I really struggle with accepting my body but still also wanting to change it (I am about 10 pounds overweight). It is hard because the only way I was EVER able to lose weight was to either not eat or eat and purge, or pop diet pills and I dont ever want to go there again, but I do need to get this weight off. Nothing I have tried is working and it is hard when you want to do it the right way and it doesnt work and you know the wrong way would- at least temporarily. Is there any advice that you have for ED recovered people regarding fitness and trying to lose weight the right way? I am asking because I know you'll understand.

You are genuinely hot.
This show seems to focus on 2 themes: personal trainers and gays. Do the people on this show (you excepted) honestly think that they, in their personal and professional actions and relations, reflect well on either group? One of the trainers has 21% body fat, and seems to be in denial of that simple fact. And his flame can be seen from outer space. The owner hits on her employees. What are you doing with these losers?

hey! just wanted to say you seem to be one of the wiser trainers there- speaking more so of in general-responsible etc..last season when jackie left you in charge... i can see why she left YOU in charge LOL....but geez those others didnt really bother to listen to you tho or at least pay you some respect that you deserve.shame on them...next time kick their butts! and demand some respect :) be the leader you naturally are...
God bless!

(oohh and cool training tips from you-im a trainer too-always looking for new ideas...hey which cert you like better/did you learn more from- nasm or ace?)

i just wanted to say it was real inspiring to see on of ur clients drive so far to have u train her becuase she felt comfortable around u. i am currently struggling with an eating disorder and i use the gym and working out as a punishment/reward. i know that isn't healthy but i think i may look for a trainer at my gym that can help me create a healthy balance....anyways u r inspiring.

Kat wrote:

I agree with everything u said. I dont get mixed up in my friends relationships unless they ask me to. But as for Rebecca and Jackie... I think Jackie deserves something amazing. And it may be rebecca. But i severely doubt that there obvious attraction to each other has anything to do with Rebecca's constand need to be adored. I dont think Jackie would be that stupid in getting herslf into something like that. Jackei dated Mimi, My god she could part the red sea if she wanted to. anyway thats my piece... hope to see more of you guys. LOVE THE SHOW

Hey Erika. You're one of my favorite trainers.... mainly because you seem to be okay with everyone and not being caught up in their "stuff". I totally agree that what is between Jackie and Rebecca is totally up to them. It should also be noted that BOTH of these women are over 21... they are not kids... so they should totally be able to make up their own minds what they are comfortable with. Jesse is the one who will be the hardest hit by this development, though. He is without his buddy in Jackie. I hope his interest in Jackie was as a person and not just because he was out to be "the favorite". Jackie is far more interesting as a person than as a means to success. But alas, he seems to feel left out not being able to hang out as much with Jackie.. at least that's how I see it.

I hope you are going to be okay with watching the next couple of episodes. Just know there are going to be thousands of viewers who will be right there with all of you guys. Just knowing Doug you gotta consider yourself very fortunate... but also that in the future, you will be able to see him again on DVD and appreciate the man he was. Having said that, savor all the people you are with now. They are treasures in various forms.

Just remember that you never will truly get over the loss of Doug...I never met him, but I feel the loss. People like him aren't forgetable.
I am happy that Jackie and Rebecca are together. I just want Jackie to be happy and stress-free. Relationships should not be that dramatic (at least not in a bad way anyways!) I agree that Rebecca should be careful about balancing the relationship and her job! Sometimes that can really get screwy...
I read on your profile that you used to train at the YMCA. That is very cool, because I am a trainer there as well. I am straight out of college right now, and it is a wonderful place to start a career. I hope that I am as successful as you someday! If you have any tips--feel free to share :)

Hi Erika.

Sorry for your loss.

I believe that we all have the freedom to do what we want to do...well welcome to America .however what is happening with Jackie and Rebecca is affecting the entire team and despite the fact that you r claiming that we should let them do what they want to do at the end is what kind of environment you would like to work in and how professional is this. Jackie is using Rebecca cause she still subconciously living her relationship with Mimi thru Rebecca and she seem pusnishing Rebecca for what MIMI did. Now let see.. you r all receiving the bad vibration by becoming involve indirectly cause let not forget that you all work together rigth!..........what a soap! where is NBC IN ALL OF THAT..........TATA WITH LOVE IRVVY

i enjoy watching you on the show. You seem to be more of an observer than one to jump in and start saying everything that comes to your mind. that is a good quality to have! I agree, let Jackie and Rebecca do what they want!
