Jesse and Rebecca's interaction at dinner was hysterical. I would have probably thrown a glass of water in his face too. But for him not to get up and leave was even funnier! I then would have turned around and thrown a glass of water in her face, maybe even a piece of food, but that is because I can be a two-year-old at times. I would tried to lighten up the mood by having a mini food fight to prove just how silly this whole situation is. As far as Rebecca and Jackie's love fest, once again I really and truly DON'T CARE. All the other trainer who have an opinion about it need to focus more on their clients.

Not hitting on you or anything but your appear to be a gentle and sweat person as Doug. And of course your eyes are beautiful. I am coming to LA I would love to train with you as well . I have hired a trainer here and that is the one thing that keeps me motivated the fact that I am spending money so I know I have to give 100%. Let us know if you have openings

I was struck speechless by Lori's story. It must be hard for her to deal with it and to go public on a nation wide tv show makes me admire her bravery. I hope you and all the Skylab participants meet your goals. Thanks for letting the rest of us see what it takes to get into shape. I had previously thought it was just all a matter of diet and exercise but now I can see that the psychological aspect is just as important.

You are hilarious with all your comments on Jesse-not leaving-the-table and all that mess...also, I loved it when you took Rebecca away from all the "Twisted-Sushi-Drama"...even though you probably weren't sure of what was going on, it showed you are a true friend, since you cared enough to see Rebecca being uncomfortable...
I've read all your blogs and you sound like a genuine, real down to earth person whom everyone likes being around. I love it how you "keep it real" when it comes down to voicing your opinions...
I WANNA BE JUST LIKE YOU!!! lol...

Hi Erika,
I am so glad you "came out" at the beginning of the season about your struggle with bulimia. It makes me admire you all the more. I wish you would talk about it more, especially in relation to the Skylab clients because I think it would help them so much. Also, while I respect Jackie and her hardcore-ness, I think that you, as a survivor, know that those strong tactics CAN backfire and in a very bad way. I've been struggling with bulimia and anorexia for 7 years, and after watching last night's episode I felt very guilty about what I'd eaten for dinner and the fact that I didn't work out that day. I wonder if you could talk to Jackie about her approach, because she seems hellbent on "her way or the highway." You bring a unique experience to the Skylab group, and I don't think anyone can understand the beating those of us with ED's (whether it be bulimia or compulsive overeating) do to ourselves. Also, is it really realistic to expect people who haven't exercised in years to exercise 5 days a week? Or to lose 15 pounds in 4 weeks? I think that Jackie sometimes needs a reality check and I think you are a source she respects and might even listen to. Use your experience to help others, and to help those without ED's to understand that acceptance and focus on habits and lifestyle help so much more than weighing and focusing on numbers and calories.
Thanks again for sharing your story, I hope to hear more of it throughout the season.
All the best,
Marna

YOU have gotten me hooked on watching Work Out. You are by far my fav and I love the way you handle everything on the show.
I try to keep in shape. I've been working out consistenly for a couple months now and I can tell a difference in my arms, legs, shoulders, and my overall stamina.
However, I haven't been able to see a tremendous amount of change in my abs and the sides of my mid-section. I usually run a mile or two and do some weight lifting.
Any tips on how to lose the love handles and continue to firm up my abs? Things I could do at the gym or even exercises for at home?
Thanks, you are the greatest.

Hello Erika,
I am a huge fan of yours personally. I dated someone for 2 1/2 years and she hid the fact that she was bulimic from me almost the entire time. When she came forward with the truth I really felt like it was my fault she was that way. Which lead to a huge blow out becasue I wasn't listening! She told me in the beginning that she had a problem with it while she was younger but she was better about it.
Its hard not to feel personally responsible, do I workout too much, do I eat to healthy, to I eat too many sweets??? The issue was not communicating! She felt so alone in her battle to overcome the disease. This was almost 10 years ago and til this day she still fights it on a day to day basis. The bottom line is that you have to feel pretty damn good about yourself to identify it and know that you have more important things to live for. If you have the ability to make others feel good about themselves, then you better believe that you have that and more for yourself!
Best of luck and stay true to yourself.

Erica! This sure was your episode to shine. I have to say it was really great to see you at your photo shoot. As a fashion photographer, I was paying close attention to that. I think if you gave modelling a chance, you would find that not only is the work challenging, you will also meet some amazingly creative people, like Nick from Project Runway and my hero Tim Gunn. I would love to see how the final shots came out! I really was impressed by your wisdom and concern for your SkyLab client, however. What a lucky lady she is to have you on her side. Bravo! Next week will be emotional all over again for you. Hang tough, dear lady. You all have a huge amount of support from the fans out here.

I think your pep-talk to your client was right on the mark. We all need to put aside time for ourselves regardless of our work load. We have only our own bodies to carry us threw this world, and where would we be if we didnt have it. That being said: 6 months ago I decided to take a Sabbatical from work. During that time I took care of ME, myself and I. (Don't think I didnt get flake from those who were either jealous of my move, or just didnt want to understand.) I'd experienced personnal crisis after crisis, and just couldnt deal anymore. I know that not everyone hasn't the 'means' to do such a thing. I'm blessed that I could. I've regrouped and will be going back to my old job in the next few weeks. But I'm now healthier mentally and physically than I've ever been.
I love your outlook on the drama of the rest of the gym family. It's not that you dont care, but you remain focused on what you do best and that's being a trainer and motivator to your clients. Good job!
Regards,
Karen

I was reading your blog... that is so funny.... I could relate that would have been really historical if something like that had happen between Jesse and Rebecca. I love the way how you looked at the whole outlook on things and I hope to be laid back as you one day... that is something that I am working on because either the restaurant manager or the police would have had to come our and that would not been a pretty picture...LOL... if you guys are ever in the bay area please keep us up to date... I don't know Doug...but it just broke my heart ... he came across as a caring person and just so relaxed and very sexy and handsome man. Wow was he sexy plus the way he cared was even sexier.... that really brings tear’s to my face... I still can't believe it…I remember the episode when Doug was celebrating his birthday... how he made it to 44 years old... that makes me cry.
I will miss seeing his fine face and body on the show.

I so agree with you! However, I am surprised that most of the trainers though that Rebecca was the one in the wrong for throwing water at the Jesse. First of all...her love life, none of this business. Two, he completely disrespected her by calling her a slut. He is lucky it was only water and not a fist!
