Here's your first look at another exciting designer from Project Runway Four! Christian was raised in Annapolis, Maryland, and started working in the world of fashion at only 13. He designed costumes for a local salon there, and while in school, his passion for design only grew. While studying in London, he unveiled a small collection during London's fashion week, and landed a job working for Vivienne Westwood. From there, he landed a position at Alexander McQueen.
He lists Westwood, McQueen, and Balenciaga as major influences on his work. His designs combine true creativity, attention to detail, expert tailoring, and showmanship. If you want to see more, click here. And for more exclusive video of this hot designer, click here!

I'm rather dubious about Project Runway, season 4. The winner for Season 3 was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Yes, it is great to take risks and broaden your creative horizons. After watching the finale twice (, I cannot reconcile the fact that you chose Jeff as the winner. Yes, he took risks-ugly ones!. In my opinion, you robbed Uli of her rightful title as winner.

Oh, please. Just because Jeffrey didn't fit your aethetics doesn't mean his work is ugly.
I personally would probably not wear most of Jeffrey's designs because they are too loud for me, but I think his work was by far the most polished and well put-together.
For once a reality tv contestant wins based on his skills rather than personality.

Runway Project is a great success! I loved the show. I told all my students to watch it, as well as top chef!!! Bravo did a fantastic job on Runway Project S1, S2 and S3. Heidi did fantastic job, much better than Padma of Top Chef. I loved Jeffrey's creativity. Even though his design is not for every one, his creativity is unlimited. I agreed 100% with Judges’ decisions. Fashion design is all about creativity. Each week I looked forward to seeing Jeffrey's surprise WOW design. With Laura and Uli, their designs were very predictable. I agree they made gorgeous dresses for women, but there wasn't any thing exciting. I can't wait to see Runway Project 4. It's going to be awesome. The show is getting better each season. BRAVO!!!

It's fun to watch all the, hard work, blood, sweat and tears. A lot of great designs, and innovation going on!
Project Runway reminds me of being back in fashion design school, with the deadlines and the competitiveness ...that are so much a part of that profession. I imagine what I'd do given the same challenges, like making something out of things found only in the grocery store.
With the perimeters the designers are given and the time limitations it's pretty mind blowing the amount of creativity and true grit that goes into those garments.
Above all else are the lessons in selling... it's been said that, "Sales are contingent upon the attitude of the salesman--not the attitude of the prospect". The designers have to convey their belief in their designs and craftmanship. It's entertaining to see them hold their heads high and sell what is sometimes poorly executed and constructed designs (rubbish) to the judges.

Hey people -- how would you like it if people said unflattering things about you for the www to see? Jeffery is a PERSON - a human being just like you - with feelings. Chances are you don't know who designed the clothes in your closet - or what the person looks lik. Your opinion reflects how desparate you are to put down someone else other than yourself. Project Runway is a competition.... not a beauty contest. The only thing that I had a problem with is the possibility that he had help with his runway collection ... in which he floored me with his green/white striped dress with zippers. Sweet - Fresh - Talent
I can't wait for this next drama laden show.

If Christian's personal grooming is any indication, we may have another Angela slapping ribbon rosettes (fleurchons as she called them) on everything; gawd, I hope not.
Why do half the contestants on Project Runway feel compelled to dress like circus freaks? Is it just an extension of an attention seeking personality or do the producers actively encourage eccentric behavior - Jay's wacky hats and 'Cindy Lauper' like thrift shop attire for example.
My one wish is that the judges would switch to cumulative scoring to encourage the contestants to be more creative. Thw contestants would be free to take more risks knowing that one failed idea wouldn't get them booted.

I can't wait for Season 4! When does it start? I thought Jeffrey was awesome, by the way. The whole point of the show is for NEW designs, not same old thing you can buy at Ann Taylor (Laura) or have to have the same dress designed episode after episode execept in a different crazy print (Uli). While I think Michael was the best throughout the season, he kinda flopped in the finale. While they are ALL four excellent designers, I truly believe the freshest and most fashion-forward designer won.

I must admit I was unhappy with the choice that was made of Jeffrey as the winner. I thought that Laura should have won; I wish him much success and I hope that one day PR does a all star show; bringing back all of the finalists from prior shows including the winner even...should make for a great season and fun to see who would wear the crown in the end.
;) just a thought, though I would love it.
Cheers for the return of one my favorite shows on tv.

Project Runway 3 was a great show. I had respect for most all of the talent. Some of the attitudes were juvenile. But,they had to have been nervous and rushed. Still, they did a wonderful job. No, I wouldn't have worn a lot of it, but "diversity" is part of our world, thank God. Not everyone likes the same thing. And I appreciate the different styles that we saw. They all did their best. And I for one, would like to thank each contestant for their part in entertaining me and exposing me to various, individual styles. Congratulations, Jeffrey. You rose from your past and made a success and a difference. Thank you. And I love Tim Gunn. What a gentleman. Your class/ poise is an essential part of the program. Looking forward to season 4.

Jeff winning last time upset me, but only because he was mean to Angela's Mom. I loved Santino, so go figure. No, this is not a popularity contest, and the drama really does make things more interesting. My favorite is just Timm Gunn being Tim Gunn. What a wonderfully authentic addition to a world most of us view as plastic. As long as Tim is on the show, we will watch.

I so hope you bring the models back to funny prominence! Remember Morganza? They used to be such fun and a foil for the designers. Now we have these boring automatrons and the designers have to have some kind of "sniff! sniff!" sad story to make them remotely likeable or at least interesting (see: Jeffrey, see: Uli, see: Michael). I don't want to know their past. I want fun, design, and future!!! Jay and Austin are still the only designers worth watching.

I am getting ready to bust out the champagne for S4 of Project Runway!!!!
While I mostly agree with the judges, I sometimes wonder how much their decisions are influenced by the producers (there is a disclaimer at the end of the show stating that this is a possibility). Why else did Angela stay on S3 for so long? Because she created crazy drama!!! And that guy (so awful I don't remember his name) who always defended his work by saying "whatever - it turns me on!" (which made me gag).
I also agree that Michael was consistantly the best throughout S3 (and Laura), but that Jeffrey did put out the most finished, detailed collection.

I don't know how much I am looking forward to Season Four of Project Runway after the disappointing end to Season Three. I felt Uli deserved to win. For the Jeffrey fans, his treatment of Angela's mother reflected who he is inside and out as a person and a businessman. Anyone who chooses to be so nasty and rude to a client or a fellow competitor will not succeed ultimately. The only thing he designed that I really liked was the plaid gown - that was spectacular; his final line was as unappealing as he is. Competition is only as honorable as the players. By awarding Jeffrey the winner, the judges tacitly endorsed all of his ugly behavior. I thought the winner was supposed to present an original and imaginative design line, as well as exhibit such leadership qualities as integrity, good sportsmanship and honor. It'll be interesting to see who the rude, nasty person is this season. Ithink it incredibly sad that the producers of these types of shows feel they have to have at least one really unpleasant person to keep it interesting. What drew me to PR in the first place was the fact that it was a real contest where people had to actually produce something every episode, not score points by how badly they treated others. That is what makes it interesting to me - fascinating, actually, as I cannot draw anything much less design something. I hope the producers choose a group that can compete without acting like two-year-olds instead of rewarding people for behaving badly.

I was very happy to see that Jeffrey had won Season 3. While the general concensus is bewildered and/or angry one must take into consideration his target market instead of letting their emotions and opinions create a bias and blurred perspective. As Tim's new show reveals, a piece may be an interesting or well made garment, but it is not for everyone. This asserts that neither the design or the wearer is flawed, but simply that they do not flow together to form a harmonious and tasteful combination.
You also have to take into consideration that $100,000 is a fair amount of money. And by fair, I mean it is a huge investment. While I understand that it is great to help one start a career, one must also view it from the donor's point of view. If you were to loan, or even give away something very valueable, you would want to have confidence that this investment would not be a complete disaster. Reguardless of the great designs seen on season three, a great designer is not always great at business. Jeffrey had already been established, had his own work space outside of his home, and was well on his way to being even more successful. He just needed a little more recognition and funding.
Now this might not have influenced the judges and producers, but I know that I would definately invest my money and my brand image in someone ,like Jeffrey, with a solid foundation, who also exhibits the young, hip, fresh image seen throughout the pages of Elle Magazine and their clientelle.

Goodness, I was completely shocked at the amout of 'Jeffrey Haters'.
You people disgust me. In my opinion, Jeffrey was the rightful winner. Sure Uli made fantastic dresses, but Jeffrey was an amazing designer. The people who say that Laura should've won are seriously disturbed. SHE'S A NUT JOB! All she made were run of the mill evening and cocktail dresses. BORING! Jeffrey had a spunk about him, and for your information, LAURA THOUGHT THAT TOO! She was afraid of him, and that's why she questioned if he had outside assistance. Jeffrey won because the judges chose him to win. They obviously know fashion, (I mean look at their credentials) and they know who's going to make it in the business.
