Tonight's episode of "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style" gave us the chance to see a special sneak preview of "Project Runway 4", and the chance to meet two of this season's designers. If you missed it, you can watch the video right now!
One of the designers, Jillian, is a product of the Parsons School of Design. While there, she was honored with the CFDA scholarship award and selected to design the Perrier girl uniform, which was featured as “Parsons Design Star” on MTV college network and nominated for Designer of the Year.
Since graduating in 2003, Jillian has worked for Rugby by Ralph Lauren and Searle. Currently, she's working on her own label while consulting for several companies.
Jillian says she is often inspired by the illustrations of Ruben Toledo and Patrick Nagel, the architecture of Antoni Gaudi and Santiago Calatrava, and the art of Egon Schiele. Other sources of inspiration include military uniforms, armor, ballet, and the idea of incorporating technology into clothing. Ultimately, Jillian’s designs are her visual poetry of the things she loves and a reflection of the world around her. Jillian says she is not satisfied with being just another name on the tag of another dress; it’s her ambition to be revolutionary, fashion-forward, and to one day create a fashion empire of her own.

All the collections were good but my friend and I were on the edges of our seats cheering when we saw Jillian's collection. We would have worn every single outfit that came out; we saw silhouettes and patterns we'd never seen before. She was the best!!
