Project Runway Sneak Preview: Sweet P

September 20, 2007

"Tim Gunn's Guide to Style" viewers were treated to an exclusive look at the next designer for Project Runway 4. If you want to see the video, click here!

Sweet P was born and raised in Los Angeles, and started sketching during commercial break of "The Sonny and Cher Show"! Her love for surfing was matched by her passion for vintage clothes, and her life in LA led to her joining a biker girl gang, Hells Belles, where she got her nickname!

While attending Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Sweet P started working in the underground club scene and would make her own outfits. With the growing interest in her designs, she decided to put together a small collection of club wear and sold it to a few stores in L.A. Her line “Sweet P” morphed from club wear to retro. Since then, she's worked at Bebe and Harkham. Her first collection will be available in February 2008.

I would love to be on Tim Gunns show. I'm 4'11", I'm short waisted and have an ample sized bust line. I have such a hard time finding dresses that fit. I would love to get some fashion tips on choosing beautiful dresses without looking short & dowdy. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

sweet p is the best of both worlds - nature & nurture, both naturally talented and classically trained, experienced and knowledgeable about garment construction, fit, and aesthetic, and cool, cool, cool. i have no doubt she will take the win both deservedly and gracefully. GO SWEET P !!!!!

My daughter would love a denim dress like the one Sweet P designed, how can we get one? And we are sad she was eliminated tonight!
