I've become a Top Chef Groupie and would love to know if Harold has his restaurant up and running yet here in NYC. If he has, may I have the address? He also intimated he would be seeking help from amongst his castmates. Who did he take with him? Amongst those he did not bring with him, where are they now? I know Lee Ann is a Top Chef staff member, but the others? Thanks - and my family is already having discussions about Season Three! Good luck to all!
I just want to wish you the best of luck in your Grand Opening!
Blessings to you and your family.
I hope to have the pleasure to visit your restaurant someday.
Great Success!
harold did open his restaurant in nyc. its called perilla and the website is http://www.perillanyc.com my girlfriend and i went there on saturday and the food [ and service ] is amazing! i also thought his pastry chef was really good. i'll definitely come back for the food as soon as my wallet thickens a little. ;)
Harold! Glad to see you back. I enjoy reading your blog. You tell it like it is rather that giving us excuses for why things went the way they did. Keep telling it real!
Harold's new restaurant is called Perilla. It hasn't been getting very good reviews. One of the signature dishes on its menu is spicy duck meatballs with gnocchi, which you may remember from the season 1 vs. season 2 challenge last week. It didn't receive good reviews from the judges either.
Well??? It's Thursday, 4:09pm Eastern time to be exact. When are we going to hear from you Harold?!?
I am so curious to read your take on it. Both b/c I loved your blog of the show last season and also b/c you have been in the contestants shoes. Lee Ann does a super blog also but with her being a show employee, it's a bit different of a take then a more traditional viewer.
Harold YOU are the TOP CHEF not only in food but in professionalism as well. The winner of Season 2 showed just how immature he is as well as being unable to draw a receipe from something other than Spanish cuisine (which I happen to like). To have been chosen as Top Chef, I don't know WHAT the judges were thinking (or drinking)! Marcel was and is a pain but he can cook! That was the biggest let down (almost like the Sopranos ending). It was great to see you, Dave, Steven and Tiffani back. Brought back good memories of Season 1. Hope to see you all back on Bravo on a semiregular basis. Sending wishes for a great culinary career in your new venture!
Harold,
Congrads on becoming the first Top Chef. I really loved to watch you in the kitchen. You are very talented. I know there was a season two Top Chef but in my book you are #1. Good luck to you in the future.
