Episode 5 is my favorite episode so far! I am shown doing and behaving in a way that is natural for me. I believe the editing was more well-rounded and truer in showing who I really am. I get so much satisfaction from my work and I have a need to make substantial changes in peoples’ lives. I am very addicted to that spark I see/feel when the light turns on inside a person and we connect with one another in a positive way. When you experience this feeling as much as I have, you want to continue affecting energy in greater and greater ways.
I had a sleepless weekend worrying about the SkyLabbers progress and decided to check up on them one day. My fears were very real and after one month’s time (their halfway point) I found out that most of them had only trained a couple of times and were ignoring my diet. I was so angry because I felt that all parties were adults and should not have to be under my constant watch. The clients were given all the tools for success and the trainers were given the opportunity to move forward with me to my next business venture.

I love this show! I find it very motivating, and it has helped me to utilize the gym more often than before I started watching. I don't care for Jackie's relationship with Rebecca. Both my girlfriend and I have both had experiences in dating non lesbian women and I fear Jackie is in for little more than disappointment. If she is just looking for a little company between the sheets than that is one thing, however, I hope she uses caution before getting too emotionally involved. Jesse was right in that it is tough for lesbians to casually date. I say go find a truly gay girl Jackie, plenty of them would likely throw themselves at you if given the opportunity. Good luck!

Last night's show was great. Jackie seems to care so much about her business and her clients and trainers that she focuses on what she needs to do to keep things going. The therapy session in the beautiful surroundings helped me realize that I have issues with pushing uncomfortable feelings down with food and I changed from watching the skylab clients struggles in the gym, with the food, and through the therapy. I was saying yes that is exactly how I feel, I remember how much that hurt me, I was mad and I said nothing but spent the night eating. Zen thank you for reminiding me that there are other things that I enjoy more than eating. Even though eating is the easiest gratification available I will remember how much I love travelling and skiing. Thanks I watch every week.

Hi to everyone at Skylab!
I love the show. I can't get enough of it. I am a 43 year old mom of 17 year old twins who knows what it's like to be overweight and unfit. I have lost 86 lbs. and my love for staying fit and exercising is so important to my life now. I lost my weight 4 years ago and have been fortunate enough to be a diet mentor and coach for Jorge Cruise who is based in California. His diet "The 3-Hour Diet" saved my life.
When I see you exercising I get really excited and it makes me want to get up and go! I have also changed my eating habits and it is so important to me to change my meals and eat healthier everyday. I have made my family do the same.
I wanted to tell you how much I can relate to your new clients on your show. I feel their pain and frustration and know what it has been for me to get where I am now. I have worked so hard to stay this way and I know now how much effort needs to go into being where I am now. Exercise and eating well definitely go hand in hand and are key to anyones success if they want to lose their weight. I also know that it is a total overhaul in attitude as well. Once I stopped sabotaging myself and treating myself as I would my best friend the pounds started to come off. I am the happiest and healthiest I have ever been in my entire life! You can see my photo on the 3hour diet website and in all of Jorge's 3 hour diet books and his recent cookbook.
I think you are all awesome! Love the show and just wanted to share.

Hey Jackie,
I just stumbled upon your show last weekend and it instantly sucked me in. I love it! I immediately added it to my Tivo "to do" list. You are such an outstanding human being that isn't afraid to be yourself and I think that is absolutely wonderful.
I can't even begin to put into words what an impact you and your staff have made on my life. I've been overweight for as long as I can remember and it's always been a losing battle. I'd lose 20 and gain 40. After losing a very special little boy in my family last year to cancer we started looking through pictures that were taken over his short little lifespan of 4 years. There weren't many pictures of me because I HATED getting my picture taken, but the few that there were were horrifying! I was so ridiculously fat that I couldn't even believe my eyes. I just sat and sobbed.
I started LA Weight Loss the next week and after 7 months I've lost 65 pounds. I feel great and I'm so much happier. I still want to lose another 60 but at least I'm getting somewhere. Although I was finally eating healthy and feeling better about myself I still hadn't got up off my fat ass and started working out although I knew that that was exactly what I had to do. After watching the first episode I've been on the treadmill every evening for at least 30 minutes. I know that isn't much, but it's a beginning.
Thanks so much for doing what you do and for giving all of the people out there like me the courage and drive to conquer fat once and for all. You've truly made an impact on my weight loss and my life!
If I wasn't just a country girl from Southern Indiana I'd love to be one of your clients, however Cali is a ways away. LOL
Please keep up the good work and I'll be looking forward to each new episode. Take care.
Thanks again,
Heather

Ms Warner,
This episode was the best for me. It showed you doing what your cut out to be- a motivator. I believe that you DO want to help others change for a healthier person. I'd like to see more of this. The other portions of the show are just the stew called Life (and TV production). I'd venture to guess that if it wasnt for the show, these people might not spend as much time together after work. Although the togetherness can promote a more 'team' atmosphere, you can't MAKE people 'like' each other. I have one questions though: What criteria should one use when looking for a trainer? I'm willing to invest in gym time, and think it would be essential to have a trainer. But how does one cull the good from the bad?
Much success in all you do.

Hi Jackie,
First of all I loved this episode just like all the other ones but I think it is getting a little more clear how Rebecca is starting to get jealous of you and your other girl friend, it shows in her face everytime you even mention her name. I don't think it was right the way you treat Jesse in front of Rebecca, she loves it when you give her all the attention and if for one minute you focus on Jesse her face shows it, not right. Jesse is one of your best friends and it is like Miss Rebecca is trying to take that away from him, she is so immature, I thought you were more mature then that. I also can't beleive how she was pawing you in the van on the way to the retreat, come on, you are her boss, she should show repsect to you in public, I can tell it makes the other trainers very uncomfortable. You are going to get sick of hearing this but it was there for everybody to see, tell Rebecca to cool it.
It was sad to see the card you guys were signing for Doug too, knowing that he is gone, such a tear jerker.
As I always say, I love your show and I hope it lasts for a long time.

Hi Jackie, just want to say i love the show. I just read that Doug passed away, I missed the last show but i do hope to see more about it on the show, he was a wonderful man, and i don't like that whats his name put him through so much hell in his last days, and if the apology was genuine, he would have passed by to check up on him, after he was missing for a week. Any way on to what i want to say. I am between jobs right now and it seems to be the lowest point of my life physically, financially, mentally and spiritually. I have never been this heavy or depressed. I want to loose weight in the worst way. Growing up with four other girls and being the only one who was, and still is the heaviest. After two children i find it very hard to have and find ,no matter how far i look or how deep i search find motivation. I always for some reason keep saying that if i had someone to run or workout with i would loose the weight, yet i still have not found any one to work out with. I keep putting my failure to loose weight on someone i haven't met.I have no motivation to loose any weight. Now i have a medical problem, where if i loose at least 60 pounds i would not have to do any surgery, yet i still continue to not eat healthy. I stopped doing any kind of activity with my children, and i am pushing my husband away, because i don't like the way i look, i think he don't like the way i look.I know i should start with small goals first, but i still have to find the motivation. I don't know how much deeper i can look for it.

I am a lower income girl who can't afford a gym, trainer or a fancy diet with special food. You could have people log in with starting weights and measures. Give us a diet and the shake recipe everyone wants and I cant find!! Then people can log in at regular intervals with updates. I bet you could really impact peoples lives in a HUGE way. I would doit! Just something to think about. I have 70 lbs to lose and it's looking impossible because healthy food is usually more expensive food. It's also hard to motivate to exercise just walking around the block. Anyway, love to you all !

Hello Jackie, I just wanted to let you know that I am a huge fan of your show for many reasons: I love watching your show because you have earned your success and it appears that nothing has been handed to you. I feel that women like yourself are an inspiration to women like me. You are strong willed/minded woman who takes no hand outs and works hard everyday to obtain the success that you have. You are a perfectionist and are never satisfied with anything you do, like I am, this is why we are both successfull in what we do because we will always strive harder each day because we are never satisfied. There is also a down side to that, woman like us take on to much and we find it hard to delegate and ware ourself out. I feel that as a woman we always have to work harder and prove ourselves everyday to gain respect of others, and now it's not just proving it to men. There are so many women out there that make me crazy because they don't work hard for what they have, it's been given to them for all the wrong reasons. Jackie, you have a great personality and are genuine in what you do. You really want to help those who become a client. I thought that Skylab was such a great idea and when I watched your show with the retreat and saw so many people with eating disorders, it broke my heart because I have a 12-year old daughter who weighs 250lbs and is 5'9" and she uses food to feel better. It scares me because I am normally in control of everything but I am scared and worried for her because I also had an eating disorder, I didn't eat. And watching the show last night just brought tears to my eyes. I think/feel that you are doing a great job with all that you do as a person and with your profession. My husband laughs at me because I love watching your show and I always have to remind him that it's always nice to see a strong/independant WOMAN starting a successful business on her own without any help from anyone. I am also very independant and I am very involved with my company, continuing my education, becoming a Board member for the State I reside in and also becoming Gov. Minners Advisory Council member, in Delaware, to help mediate some strong issues we have in the industry that I work in. BUT anyways..I think your show is great, I was excited to see that you moved on from Mimi, she was slowly dragging you down and would have eventually ruined a lot that you have worked so hard for because the relatioship was toxic. I can see that since you have moved on, your spirits have lifted and you a happier person, although we all know how hard it is to leave a long term relationship no matter how bad it is for us. It's nice to see you having fun again, enjoying life. I can see why women like to explore our options (playing the field) after we get out of a bad relationship, like I did when I left my 1st husband. Each person you date, offers you something different that you are not use to, like Rebecca and Tiffany, they are night and day by comparing their personalities, but they offer you so much...they each have something different to give to you, and your relationships are so different with each of them, I do see you having more fun with Rebecca, she allows you to be silly and like you said, she says what's on her mind and you are not use to that, with Tiffany, you are more intimate with her and she seems to feel more like home to you, she s so mellow and calm, which you are not use to either. But it seems that Rebecca is kind of learning as she goes, because she normally dates men but Rebecca seems to go with the flow, she genuinly cares for you and it doesn't matter to her what the gender is, she goes with how and what she feels. I give her Kuto's because of the heat that she is taking from JESSE, and he's not giving Rebecaa a hard time because he worries for you, he is jealous becuase he is not the center of your world although he is still apart of it, just not in the way he's use to. He is jealous of Rebecca because he looks at it as she is replacing him although it's not the case. Although I like Jesse because his drama, Jesse did deserve to have the water in his face, I would have done the same...he was very disrespectful and hurtful, Rebecca didn't deserve it. I know that you are taking some slack from the other trainers, not because they can't accept you and Rebecca, they just aren't use to seeing things this way, especially with Rebecca. All of your trainers are terrific, they truely care for their clients and want to help them better themselves. My prayers go out to Doug, when he's not at the gym, you can feel that something just isn't right, something is missing. I will continue to always watch your show, watching you as a person is like looking in the mirror, because I am so strong willed, OCD, independant , etc., as you are.
I know that I am babling and writing a lot, but I would like to ask you for some advise concerning my daughter, What is the best thing I can do for my daughter, she was already in therapy and refuses to go back, I have spoke to her pediatrician who says until things get better in her life with her father, which I can't for see happening and I would never tell her that because she hasn't seen her father since 2005 because of his drug issue and beating his fiance...but nothing will change with him, his life will always be about $$, drugs and women, never his children. I can't understand it,my family is my life. But I would like to know your thoughts, should I sign her up in a gym with a personal trainer, whichis so hard to find in Slower Lower Delaware. I could find one in the City if I still lived there, but I married a Redneck...and moved to no mans land...lol. I love him to death, he's a terrific father, husband and person and is very supportive towards me and our girls, he;s been with them since they were 3 and 4 year's of age. But I think what is also hard on my daughter, is because my oldest daughter is 6'1" and very thin..150lbs and can eat what ever she wants and Mariah is the complete opposite. And God Bless them both because I keep them both so active, they both play sports all year long and with Mariah I have placed her on diets but like I said if she has a bad day, she will eat to feel better, sneak food. So if you can e-mail me with some advise, nb_jefferson@hotmail.com, call me: (Nadene) Cell: (302)245-4987 or Home#: (302)875-5671 or send me a brochure with some ideas where I can show her, 26335 Goosepond Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966, anything you could find time to do in your busy schedule would be great. If you don't have time, I will understand because I know what it is to be busy all the time, and I will still tune in every Tuesday night @ 10pm. And trust me, it is very difficult for me to stay up that late because I am on the go everyday and hardly ever slow down. I'm sorry, that's wrong, my husband was traveling with work so I went to visit him for the weekend in Virginia and my girls stayed with a dear friend of mine, which my oldest daughter had to babysit for her anyways, so I was away from my girls for the first time since last summer. However, I didn't know what to do with myself while my husband worked during the day, I mean how many baths can I take and how many walks can I take, especially where I was, it was scarey. I drove myself crazy all day because I actually had nothing to do. But anyways, keep up with everything you are doing with Skylab, you can see what you are already doing for your clients who are involved with skylab by looking into your eyes. I wish you were in Delaware and that I could afford you, lol, for my daughter. She needs someone with your personality because Mariah will give up easy and you will push her and in the same way make her feel good doing it or even Doug's personality. Good luck to you Jackie and God Bless.....Sincerely....Nadene

Jackie - you are so interesting to watch - such a complex mix of power, leadership -and vulnerability. This shows me you are willing to do what you feel is right and inspiring people with your passion along the way. I look forward to our date every Tuesday night! Hey Jacki,
I've enjoyed your shows this season and last. You are an amazing businesswoman and I love seeing someone like you on national tv! You are a fantastic role model. I frequently feel like exercising after watching the show. It totally pumps me up.
It also impresses me that you are helping "real" clients. People who struggle with their weight. I, too, have been struggling to be fit for years, and I've been steadily getting there for 3+ years now. Your message about "consistency" in the last episode is quite apropos. It truly is the only way to get fit! I work out 6 days a week, no excuses, even though I'd rather sit and read with a bag of tortilla chips (that would be bad).
It has bothered me a little, however, that you mix a love interest into your work environment. I imagine that's a difficult position to put your staff in, especially as Rebecca is your employee. It seemed very weird to me and, although I obviously don't know you, it seemed out of character for you. But, heck, it's your life and Rebecca is hot!
OK, well, I live in the sticks in NH and over 40 miles from closest gym. I tend to use exercise dvds at home during the terrible mud and winters we get since gym is too far. I would love so much to see you put out some exercise dvds. I would definitely spend my $$ on your products! I currently use Beach Body videos (by Debbie Siebers and Tony Horton), but would love a change to my routine! A no-nonsense bootcamp combining cardio and strength would be awesome! Please, think about helping us home-bodies get ripped!!
Best of luck and health to you...and thank you for putting your private life out there.

Hi there! Gosh, since watching this show, I have been totally inspired to get my butt in gear! I know I can do it. I will be in New York next week visiting friends, and at first I was so excited to got to Little Italy and Chinatown and chow down on carbs, but instead I decided not to let myself splurge on food at all just because I am in another city. Instead, I promised myself to eat right, and WALK my butt off around the city. I think Jackie should sell the necklaces that they all wear (the leather chord w/metal disc?) I think they are so cute! Please sell them!! It would be a good idea to sell them, and maybe have the proceeds go to Diabetes Research or something...I Love your show! Anyone feel free to write me if you wanna talk fitness goals or motivation! I'm all ears! Thanks!!

Season 1 was so cool. This one is a little lackluster. It is sad to say that the only thing that is making me hold on is Doug.
Jesse needs to loose weight if he wants to be a trainer... where is the development of that story? Instead, we see Jackie acting like a ho making out with everyone in restaurants, bars, and bathrooms. Enough of it.... have some respect for yourself Jackie, we all know Rebecca has none.

Great show! I schedule my workouts so that I get up early and workout in the morning or get straight to the gym after work so I can catch the show. I was a trainer at 24 hour fitness for 4 years about 18 months ago. I love how you get in people's faces about their diet and routine. I loved watching my clients really learn how to workout and make it a part of their lives. To this day I'm close with many of my clients and like to even workout with them. Of course management at 24 thinks I'm training them, which is totally discriminatory, but anyway...
I think you and Rebecca are super cute. It reminds me of how my gf and I got started. I had never had a relationship with a girl before, and we started out best friends. I was her trainer (of course then I wouldn't let her buy anymore training) I have the same attitude that Rebecca has about what people think. It's nice to be with someone who get's you, let's you be you and doesn't judge your faults. Good luck.. I'll be watching! :)

I've not posted here before and probably won't in the future, but I wanted to make a point of applauding you for talking about it. It was extremely brave and must not have been easy.
If more people would talk about Mental Health, we might, as a society, be able to remove the stigma and treat the "fitness" of people's minds as we do the fitness of their bodies.

Why don't we get to see this side of you more often? Shame on them for making us wait! Each week I have become more inspired and driven to take action, ANY action, to live a happier and healthier existence. The thought both frightens and excites me. And for that I thank you -- for showing me the way, for helping let go of fear, and just for being who you are. Ego stroking done. Back to work. Take care girl. ;)

First I want to say I have been watching your show since the first episode and loving it. I recently lost my Mom to Cancer and it has been a tough run dealing with her not being around. I never thought I would have to lose her with so many "firsts" ahead of me. Watching your show is one of the few things that takes me out of my own grief and see the world still keeps spinning and everyone has problems.
I have been highend into workout since I was a kid, but my methods have always been more kickboxing and karate then the gym itself. I don't have the self dicipline to just go to a gym and do reps and trainers have not proven helpful HERE. Of course they are not Jackie Warner.: ) Sadly, I am 3000 miles away from Skysport and that's too much of a commute for a steady workout. I guess I'll just have to take my get workout tips and enjoy the energy you put out via Bravo. You are like the Pied Piper of LA. You have this light that everyone seems effected by and wants to follow. What a great power....what a huge responsibility. I think you manage it all with dignity and ...grace. I really believe helping another human being is the best feeling we can ever ger....You must feel great.

I noted in your weekly blog about clients being given a great opportunity and tools for success - what more motivation does one need? When one finally recognizes that each of us can be and are extraordinary, then wanting to use those tools takes the place of need or fear. Not only do I believe this; I try to live it. Sometimes it's hard to stay on that track but when you have others to encourage you to keep your focus and believe in yourself, one can get back to where one wants to be - pride in one's self. The last scenes this week were powerful and right on the mark to success - looking forward to seeing the changes throughout the remainder of the season.

This last episode was real in addressing the mental/emotional componants to weight gain. I work with these energetically trapped componants with medical qigong and the benefits are dramatic. When I saw the people in sky lab working hard to get results, I wanted to come right down to your studio and help them. With medical qigong they have the opportunity to rid themselves of long held emotions, trapped energy hanging out in the tissues of the physical body. Consider exploring this avenue for your clients.

I am surprised that this is Jackie's favorite episode. I found it pretty uncomfortable especially around the Skylab stuff. I realize that she is driven, but her agenda seems to be driving everyone. I think it was weird and disrespectful for her to call up all the clients, get them down to the gym, and get them working on what she wanted them to do because she's worried about her project. It was disruptive for them especially poor Tess. I heard her say some things that were supportive, but the overall message is that she wants this to succeed, and her lying, lazy trainers and lying, lazy clients need to shape up. Wow! Again, it amazes me that this could be her favorite episode.
Greg was right. Tess should have been handled differently, very differently. This is about people's lives, and I didn't really get the feeling that she was truly worried about anyone's life but her own.

POWERFUL!! The group counseling session was one of the most powerful moments I've seen on TV. As I sat there identifying with some of what was said, I was also thinking – if people will allowed themselves, they can find true healing regarding their self worth and self image.
Talk about having a life-impacting effect on others.!! Way to go Jackie! Thanks for the many arduous hours you are dedicating towards your Skylab clients and this show. Be assured your efforts are changing lives!!
P.S. – Tell Jesse and Rebecca to lighten up. Life is way too precious to spend any time disliking someone. Forgive, forget, move on. Take your energies and place them towards something positive. Five years from now, they won’t even remember what they are bickering about. But, if they do something good for someone – 5 years from now – they will see the immense benefit. Here is a truth: We reap what we sow. Make your life about sowing good things into people’s hearts. Especially into the hearts that are the most difficult to understand. When you do, you will have peace in your life.

I am a cancer survivor who worked all my life until I was hit with this awful disease. I had to quit work and naturally gained alot of weight. I am mentally and physically beat up. I tried a local gym in my area but they don't care about anyone personally. You pay the monthly fee and you are on your own. There are no trainers like the ones in your gym. They care about their clients (as you do) but who can afford this kind of one on one personal care. Overall, the majority of gyms only care about their own pocketbooks. That leaves people like me on their own and it's very hard to uplift yourself and get out of the doldrums when no one really cares. Good luck to you and good luck to all those who can afford to be helped by caring and understanding people like yourself. Thanks for listening.

But I really have to say that after watching the weigh in and you being pretty upset with your crew.....the episode made you look like a real jerk to your clients. I would never have laid out a client like that. You could have put that one client in a real depression, possibly resulting in the worst case scenario!! You know what I mean. And it was like you were trying to make up for that action by doing the retreat.
Remember you don't know someone until they let you know them and even then, they won't tell you everything.
Be careful alot of people in this country and across the world are watching.
And one last thing, we (my wife and I) want to say.....we have gay friends, and love them as our own family,......but we don't approve of all the making out and bedroom scenes, and funny part is neither do they! Whether Gay or not keep the intamacy to a minimum...PLEASE!!!!!

Jackie et al,
INSPIRING!
April 18th's episode is most inspiring. The therapist hit on something that clicked perfectly for me, & it will radically change my own approach from today forward.
PARENT THE CHILD:
A long time ago I learned that while most adults are trying to find their inner child, I was trying to find my inner parent - I really never knew how to say "no" to myself when it came to food & other disciplines. Turns out that's only half of the epiphany I needed. Your therapist at the Lodge made it clear that I need to not try to parent just who I am now (which makes me feel like a loser as an adult), but to think of it as re-parenting the actual child that I was. It's a lot easier to parent a child than an adult!
BEING GAY:
You may be surprised to learn I'm a very devoted fan, but am probably more in your mom's camp as a conservative Christian. Not all of us are judgmental (& I think your mom simply lacks the ability to articulate her view - she's concerned, but totally loves you). I celebrate the good stuff, & it's between you & God to figure out the other stuff. But from a purely relationship perspective, it's obvious you are serious in your pursuit of a mate. Be real with yourself, & remember that sex isn't a relationship, & you'll find the right person.
DOUG:
Wow. I'm so sad to have read that Doug died. I'm sure it's a huge blow to you all. I can't imagine the loss, & I grieve for your loss. Doug was my favorite, & his comment that "every girl needs a gay guy" has stuck with me ever since last season, & I've actually been keeping my eye out for the right gay guy to come along!

Hi Jackie,
Great idea having the therapy session at the retreat. It was nice to see the clients have their "light bulb" moment when they realize what events in their lives caused them to gain the weight. Very revealing. Until you can pinpoint that I believe the cycle just repeats itself.
You truly care about your clients and that is clear. I like how you will step in and take charge and get on people when they -- the trainers and clients aren't giving their all. That is a true leader and why you are sucessful.
The interaction between you and Rebecca is cool. I think Rebeccca is growing attached to you, be careful -- you seem to be in "pimp mode" -- juggling two people. Nothing wrong with that. My only beef with you is what seems to be a lack of respect for Rececca when Tiffany calls -- Jackie, let the call go to VOICEMAIL! C'mon, baby! You don't take a call from a girl when the other one is sitting right there! That is just a courtesy thing. Be respectful.
Otherwise you're cool Jackie. You have "game." You could give men a lesson on women.
I hope there's a third season.
PS. That pic of you on your myspace page sitting on top of the ball -- holy hell -- that is SMOKIN! That is my new screen saver =)

I liked Season 1, but Season 2 packs even more of a wallop. Between watching how the story of Doug will play out and the double revelation at the end of last night's episode, this has been an emotionally devastating season. I wish the editors had given us a little more of that scene at the end between you and Kiki (is that her name?), just to let the magnitude of it, of her, of you, sink in.
Watching Doug -- dreamy, gorgeous, lovely Doug -- this season, knowing he's already gone, has been heart-breaking.
Bravo for your Sky Lab venture. Your work with Tess was one of the highlights of last season, and it was great to see that you're committed to serving more than just the beautiful people. And I love that you had your trainers do the body-fat test along with the clients (and astounded at how much higher Jesse's is than mine.)

Hi Jackie:
Going back a few episodes, I'd like to comment on two things.
1. Your little Chihuahua's are very cute and I can see how much you love them because you bring them with you to work. However, I am VERY concerend with the fact that their nails were so VERY long. I have an upscale grooming salon and boutique in Corona CA, and I know that many parents are very afraid of cutting their dogs' nails. However, this should not dismiss the fact that if their nails are not kept at a comfortable length, a dogs feet can be permanently damaged, aside from that fact that it HURTS to walk around on nails that long. Please do the right thing and have those babies' nails taken care of right away.
2. On the episode where you are with your staff at the restaurant and Tiffany comes in, it was wrong to just turn and ignore Jessica the rest of the evening because Tiffany crashed the party. I think what you did was really rude. If even a friend did that to me, I'd be pretty ticked off and hurt. I think Jessica handled it very well and with a lot of tact, but she shouldn't have been the one to leave, Tiffany should have.

You've wasted too much time with Mimi and its refreshing to see you happy at and work and in love! Life is too short! Since you have such a close relationship with your trainers, its expected for them to be jealous or involved in your personal life, but it is your choice of who you want to be with, so if Jennifer is the one you want to be with, then don't let the staff try to sway your decision. Jesse needs to be happy for you, and if he can't then what kind of friend is that? True friends are always there for you, but Jesse is putting himself first before thinking about you and your happiness.
I wish you well, and hope everything works out. Its nice to see you so happy! Jennifer is a hoot!

(Although, she's a smart cookie who has surrounded herself with good people, she just can't find love and looks for it in all the wrong places). I wish she had someone who knew how to motivate her the way the Skylab trainers do for their clients, because nothing the people who love her say or do helps. I'd like to try and get her to watch the show at least, because i'm sure many people find it inspiring, which is again amazing for reality t.v. I want to thank all the trainers for giving me an insight into the pain of her weight...it's been something very hard to understand and the fear for her health has kept me distant. I'm hoping one day she'll have the same guts as your clients.

When you said "I can see the pain behind Tess's eyes" I felt compelled to contact you. You can visit my website at www.pathoftheheart.net to find out about my work. I don't need this and am being very sincere! A weekend intensive for skylab clients could easily address the eating disorder and emotional issues your clients are exhibiting. Keep up the good work!

Jackie, I love your show. However, I have to ask why you allow your employees to get so involved in your private life. I don't think it is any of their business what you do in your personal time. The way they talk about you, behind your back (also about each other), makes them and your gym appear very unprofessional. You can be friendly with your employees without letting them cross the line of getting too involved in your personal life. And thank God you got rid of Mimi! You have to be a very strong and confident person to get as far as you have with your business, so I was always amazed that you put up with the way Mimi treated you. Talk about someone making you look bad. I understood exactly, when your Mother told you that she didn't trust Mimi, and for you to be careful. You have so much going for you that it took a few episodes for me to see that you don't have a lot of confidence in yourself where people are concerned. You need to expect more respect from your workers. Getting rid of Mimi was a good start in straightening out your personal life!
Thanks for listening!

You are setting yourself up for something. You even take therapy and it still doesn't seem to work. Yes, Tiff and Rebecca are better communicators but I don't see anything else going from that. Tiff is a whole diff story. I won't go there. She's not very likeable for some reason. Good luck!

Jackie, You totally rock. I loved how you kicked ass in this last episode. It is obvious the SkyLab clients needed a wake up and you definitely did it for them. Oh and I can totally relate to the cheating thing with the food diary. When I used to work out with a trainer sometimes I would lie about how much I ran that week. And she would just be like "I don't understand how you aren't losing weight" I think she totally knew I was lying. You can't expect results if you don't put in the work!!! Anyway I love the show and I think you are the greatest. I wish I had a trainer like you around here to help kick my ass :) Keep it up I love the show!

As I watched your show last night and listened to the therapist ask your clients these personal questions, I totally put myself in that room with you all and poured my heart out to myself and the emotions were high for me but it felt good. I've always loved going to the gym when I did but somehow I've always had to make these decisions where it was either responsiblity or me and I never picked me. You and your team are people with good hearts and issues just like me. I am 37 years old and still dealing with issues of being gay. I know that's the biggest component to my weight problems. I've come out to most of the people who are important to me but it doesn't feel right not coming out to everyone in my life. So food makes it feel better I guess. Now I'm trying to make good choices and I'm hoping by staying focused on you and your trainers positive messages I can "go the distance" and I'm gonna try extremely hard not to walk away from my self. Why you wouldn't want to date her exclusively or make-out w/chocolate on her teeth is beyond me. I've come to realize how much more forgiving women are in same sex relationships, you dissed her at the restaurant, you diss her everytime the other girl calls you, she takes crap from the other trainers, & she's still into you. I find myself to be the kind caring person you all were talking about, but I never treat myself that way. It gives me something to really think about. I enjoy your blog because you are bringing feelings out of people, the good the bad the ugly, but hey they are feeling. It really does start with being in touch with your feelings. It's so much easier to stuff them away. It would be nice to see in your show, how behind the scene's you keep yourself in shape. At work we mostly see you behind the desk or with a client. I saw you went to YOGA and yea that wouldn't work for me either, my mind is to busy. But how do you keep yourself in such great shape? I think with the loss of Doug speaks 10 fold about the folks you have working for you. In the times I watched your show and got to know him he felt like my friend also. You have great folks working for you and you are very blessed. You have a life only some could ever dream of. Enjoy it. This episode is my favorite as well, it went from the scale of being the funniest and saddest(sad being not in a bad way). Funniest being yoga class , your restfulness was funny and of course the date with Rebecca. You used OMG in your last blog..haha. Most emotional being the end. When I was watching I couldn't help but look at your face, (not meaning in psyco way but the way you were thinking.. then how your related with your client about your father's death). Unexplainable!!! Also the thought that the episode aired was strange the about the day before what happen in Virgina Tech although not too comparable..is comparable. Just the severity about our mental state.
Anyway I am sorry for being a huge fan but the show has really helped me try to take the steps to work through my issues so I can then try to fullfill my dreams of helping others.. See I haven't had to many positive role modle in my life, well my mom but with that there is alot of hurt. I feel like I am not strong.. But I am seeing that it is all about doing IT!!!
Thanks again and much love

Hi there:
I find your program very motivating in lots of ways, but I have to confess that I get very annoyed when I see the women on the program not taking advantage of the incredible opportunity they're being offered. I realize I sound harsh, but at 38 years old, 5'1 and 216 pounds I do understand about food issues. Last night I was feeling envious of them for having the opportunity and not milking it for every pound off they can, but today I feel a LITTLE more understanding.
I can see there are inexpensive opportunities around here that I don't take advantage of and that I need to see what I can do on my own instead of moaning about how lucky they are to have you and of how they're "blowing it". We shall see. Wish me luck! I hope to be my own "Jackie."

Jackie,
I know Sky Sport and Sky Lab are your babies, but you CANNOT blame yourself for the lack of motivation in other people. I know how hard it is to loose the weight... I'm 5'7 and 236 lbs. (down from 270) I also know how hard it can be to get motivated, start a healthy life style and toss out all those bad years of bad habits. However, i was very angry after watching your last episode. These skylabbers are very fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of this Sky Lab experiment. They have a chance to actually have someone show them the way, and have someone like you who actually cares about them and their success. I see at the gym I go to all the personal trainers who don't seem to care about anything except their fee. I understand how hard it is and that things come up, but the fact that ALL of these skylabbers were not giving it their all, and were throwing away such an excellent opportunity!!!! I don't think they realize just how lucky they are. If I had an opportunity for a trainer, especially one that cares, and especially getting to work with you... I think I would take full advantage of it, and probably work ten times harder because I had the support. I'm sorry... didn't mean to vent there.... ;)
I want to also say I think it's wonderful taht you are involving therapists with the weight loss... another perk, I do hope your clients enjoy and take advantage of. It is so hard to vision ones self as thin when all they have known is "being the fat girl". I have lost a bit of weight, and yes I can tell how my clothes fit, and people tell me ... but I don't see it, I continue to see "the fat girl"... which makes it harder to keep motivated. By involving a therapist, your not only helping them physically change, but menatlly, and this is something that will help change their life forever, and maybe not resort back to old bad habits. As for Rebecca, I have to put in my 2 cents, ;)
have your fun, but don't settle .... you can have the world, any girl you choose, make sure she makes you happy, thats what counts, regardless of who approves. I want you to know, you inspire me (I'm going to school for psych and thinking of involving it somehow around fitness, I want to help others loose weight... once I get there of course... but you desire to help others is very inspiring.) I also respect you... I don't need to know you personally, your spirit shines through. I wish you nothing but the best!!!! One more thing, any chance we might see you at Hollywood Pride this year? luv Cat

Hi Jackie,
I respect your dedication to fitness and discipline in leading a healthy lifestyle. I admire you for pushing yourself so hard and starting your own business at the gym and Skylab. However, I must say, I was a little disappointed by your approach to Skylab as it was shown last night. I know you are frustrated and want to help the Skylabbers lose weight, but I do not think it is realistic to expect people who haven't worked out in years to suddenly work out 5 days a week and eat protein shakes, vegetables and fish. This is why diets don't work. Especially when people have eating issues, like so many of the clients seem to have. I speak from experience, as I have been struggling with bulimia, anorexia, and compulsive overeating. I'm not even in the program and I felt guilty about what I ate (2 helpings of chicken and rice) for dinner!!! I ended the show with a worse body image than when I started watching. Skylab is supposed to promote a healthy self esteem and (i hope) lifestyle changes that clients can sustain. I feel like you have lost sight of that reality. IT seems you want your clients to lose weight no matter how unhappy with the program they are. I get that they need to lose weight, I see that, but by weighing them and kind of making their self esteem reliant on the number on the scale, I think you are missing Skylab's goals. I know you feel very "my way or the highway" about this (at least, that's what the editing makes it look like, which i know I must take with a grain of salt), but I think you should open your mind and heart and try to understand these people a little more. Maybe someday they can and will be like you, but right now they need support and a friendly voice encouraging them, not a drill sergeant who requires them to work out 5 days a week or makes them feel like crap. All in all, I love the show and your body is incredible!!!
Best,

I know how difficult it can be to lose weight and maintain a healthy balanced diet (whatever that is, jk) from my own anecdotal experience. I commend your skylab clients for taking the first steps in changing their lives. I can imagine you already know this but just in case you do not, it is very hard for some people (probably many people) to walk into a gym for the first time when you are overweight. For me, I was really embarrassed the first time I went back to the gym. I also know this from my own personal experience. That in itself is a huge step. I am looking forward to seeing upcoming episodes.

Jackie,
You may know all this, but as a lifelong sufferer of weight issues I just want to pass it on. As reference, I have been overweight all my life, tried all the diets around, been in a 12-Step food program and been a patient at an eating disorder unit.
At this writing, I am 39 years old and 120 lbs overweight. (The battle continues...)
In your latest blog you said you gave the clients all the tools needed to change their life. Most people with eating disorders could write a book on nutrition and exercise- literally. We have been exposed to tools galore and studied diet endlessly.
Having knoweldge avails us nothing if we can't follow through with the action. And of that, you (all trainers, doctors, therapists, etc.) are sadly powerless.
Your blog also said 'what more does a person need to get motivated?' You can lead a horse to the treadmill but...
(I have a friend who's aunt is diabetic, very overweight, using a coloscopy bag (sp?) and still overeating. Like the lung cancer patient who's still smoking.)
After a lifetime of struggle, I believe compulsive overeating is an addiction - a mental obsession to create the chemical reactions in the brain not to feel pain/discomfort/joy, etc.
And for many, to feel they have some control in their lives (as seen in your therapy session.)
Also, a lot of people with eating disorders have histories of sexual abuse and gain (or lose) weight to not be attractive to the opposite sex and freak out when they are successful at losing some weight because they start to get attention and the fear of abuse returns. As does the weight.
I myself (as many do) also suffer from depression which at times makes it hard to get out of bed let alone to the gym.
I have reached my goal weight a few times in my life but each time the weight comes back because I have not fixed 'me', only my shell. (That's with using therapy, medications, support groups, etc.)
The issues involved are complex, deep, and life-long in their creation. I'm sure you've heard the statistics that the majority of obese people will never lose their weight. The majority of those who do lose their weight will gain it back. Don't get discouraged if success doesn't look like you thought it would.
For many of us, as we continue to struggle, it becomes a daily issue of harm reduction- making the best choices we can.
But at least we continue to struggle. I still have hope I'll fit into those 34 inch jeans and lead an active, healthy lifestyle.
As long as hope and I are both alive, it's one foot in front of the other for me. I believe I can do it. But I also know that 'I' have to do it.
Forgive me if I babbled.
The best to you,
John O'Hara

Jackie:I love the excitement that the show brings, however, I must say when I first tuned in to watch the show, I thought your were a very bright & powerful woman who knows what she wants, and has carved out quite a nitch for herself, but I am grossly disappointed in her behavior with these girls, and I also think that it is CRIMINAL that you went back to Mimi?
You are just an emotional WRECK. Please keep the appointments with the THERAPIST, honey you are gonna need her when she leaves you for a MAN !!!
