1. What brand of appliances to you use in your homes?

The appliance brands I use in my kitchens depends on the price point of the home. In my higher end projects, I use Viking, Bosch, Miele, Fisher-Paykel, and Subzero. These are the brands that my higher end buyers expect when they are spending $2 million plus on a home. On my less expensive projects, I will often purchase appliances made by Whirlpool or Frigidaire. In my mid level projects I like to use GE Monogram. I always use stainless steel. I find it is what most buyers want which makes it a prudent investment for resale.

2. Where can I buy the trough sink used in the master bath of the Nottingham house?

The trough sink used in the Nottingham master bath is a porcelain single-drain sink made by a company called Wet. It is available through a number of distributors across the country. Go to their website @ www.wetstyle.ca

3. What is the name of the paint color in the kitchen of Valley Oak?

The paint color that I used in the Valley Oak kitchen is called Sparrow. It is made by Dunn-Edwards and the # is DE3170. I used a flat waterbase finish.

I noticed that you do a beautiful job in replacing windows in your Spanish home renovations. I have a 20's Spanish House in the Hollywood Hills and it's been painful trying to figure out what windows to go with. Where do you get the windows in these homes (classic wood/latch windows)?

Also, I love the floor in the Knottingham kitchen. What kind of tile is that and where did you get it? I'd love to replicate it in my Spanish house.

I love Jeff's decorating style! You should do a show where you come to my house and redecorate/ remodel! Bring some California to St. Louis.

I just started watching the show at the end of the season; I have enjoyed every minute though and can't wait for the new season.

In one of the episodes Jeff says that "travertine" tile is out of style, so what does he suggest instead with the similar look and feel?

My boyfriend and I would LOVE to read a Zoila blog!!!!! In the alternative, we'd like to chat online with her for a long time...like 3 hours....on Jeff's computer!!!

hahah!

Zoila for President!

Seriously though, we think she has a bird's eye view of Jeff's not-so professional moments and find her one of the funniest people on the show!

Love, love, love the show and cannot wait until next season. I notice you often use casement windows, my favorite. In situations where you replace existing windows, what brand do you use?

As for the trough sink in Nottingham, I check out Wetstyle's website and they do not show it. Are you sure that was the brand you used?

I love the black cabinets in Valley Oak's kitchen. Can you tell me more about them? And the white marble countertop? Stunning! Thank you.

What is the paint color used in the Living Room at Valley Oak One? Great netural color! Also, what are the paint colors used in your bedroom?

Thanks, Jolie

The season was too short!! Love the show. I could only get a glimpse of the baseboard you put in the houses. What ever you use for the baseboard, I reallly love the look. Is is a combination of different moldings? How is it configured.

Hi Jeff,
What brands of kitchen and bathroom faucets are you using in your less expensive and mid level projects?

Thank You.

Jeff,
Aha...more paint color questions.... there seemed to be a green shade in Valley Oak. What is the paint color name and distributor of this color? Looks like you need your own line of paint colors, could make some $$ this way :)

Thanks!

Hi Jeff, What are some of your favorite stores to shop at for Furniture and accessories? Love the show!
Thanks, Jennifer

Dear Jeff, How do you get good help? We try to get people to come and fix things, etc. (for example, our dryer, our pool, landscaping) It took a week and going through 3 different people promising to fix our dryer & then they would never call us back, a year to get our pool finished (I don't even want to talk about that), nobody will call us back to do landscaping in our yard. These people could be making good money! Are people just lazy? I live in Houston, Texas - it just doesn't make sense to me.

Jeff, you are so funny and smart. I really liked your show. Since you did alot of takeout on the show does that mean you didn't use your appliances so they are new for the owners?
What is new for countertops? Anything that does not have to be sealed? I read about the honed stone for floors. Does that make them less slippery? Do you ever use bifold doors?

Nancy Connell wrote:

Jeff,
I love how you embrace your OCD on the show, and have turned it into a positive. What are some of the new trends in flooring?

I love your show but don't see it in the guide any more. When will you return to Bravo?

I would like to know who Jeff's key supplier is for Windows, Doors, (exterior and interior) hardware, moulding etc.
You see I have been in the sales part of construction since 1984, and watch his show and the reruns and love it. I know, especially with Jeff, if he has someone he is working with and is happy - he probably won't change. BUT if he would like to try someone New and with much experience I WOULD LOVE TO WORK ON A PROJECT WITH HIM --- His style of expertise and he knows what he wants is , I think, a salespersons' most wanted customer --- Please forward this note to him
Thank you very much!!

Jeff, any advice for "flipping" in this market? I have done a couple of properties in the past as a hobby, but have been considering making it a career. However, this market definitely worries me and maybe I shouldn't take money out of my existing business to attempt "house flipping" in this market? Thoughts?? Thanks!

Carol wrote:

I miss Jeff's show! Please shoot some new episodes. It was great to see someone renovating homes for a higher-end buyer. His program was exclusive in home show programming and I loved it!

Hi Jeff,

LOVE the show. You and Ryan have incredible decorating style - WOW! Would love to have seen more of the completed Nottingham project. Where do you guys shop for accessories, also where did Ryan purchase the wall sconces featured at the Nottingham project (fireplace)? Once again LOVE the show.

Flipping the houses i live in is the only way for me to ensure a morgage free home in this life and therefor provide a confortable life for my kids since i have chosen a profession that pays almost minimum salary. i am an interventionnist, i help people with addiction. I want to thank you for teaching me a couple tricks through the show. I am on my 2nd flip and since i don't have much money to risk, i want to ensure that i dont make a mistake. Patio doors, do you recommend French or sliders? For the French option, opening into the home or out onto the patio? How do you handle the screens? What about hardware?

Your taste is second to none.

Hey Jeff,

I was watching the Jeff "Open House" show and some of the things they were commenting about with your OCD I thought to myself, "well what's wrong with that", like the water bottles all facing the same way, etc... then I thought, maybe I have a little OCD. Anyway, I host the morning show on www.dreamcenterradio.com on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 7:00-11:00am here in LA, I would love to have you on. We just had Sherri Shepherd on from "The View" this morning. I'll make sure the studio is spotless should you decide to come!!!

I am watching the new season of flipping out and I love it. I am starting a project myself and would like to hire Jeff to do his magic. How would I go about getting in contact with you Jeff?

Diane wrote:

I just watched the episode of Chris fooling around in the house. I think Jeff needs to hire someone who is not in the entertainment business, is not involved with any other job other than working for him. This way that person would be completely devoted to his business. Then again, he can always hire a midwesterner like me who works hard everyday and is used to multi-tasking and is particular on the work I do. Good luck, Jeff!

This comment doesn't necessarily involve the home transformations themselves, but where does someone who is interested in becoming an assistant for Jeff Lewis even begin looking for an opportunity?

Hello Jeff,
I have been building homes for 14yrs. and have always had a nack for home design. My remodeling inputs to customers are often used for there remodel. I have always wanted to flip homes, however I have little knowledge of the real estate aspect. My question is, what would be my best route for learning how to flip homes and be successful at it.

Thank you, Derick

Jeff,
How can I be a supplier to your projects in the future? I'm a gay man that can understand your needs for quality and resale for the plumbing, appliances and hardware for your style of projects. I get you, and I get what you demand for your flips and remodels. I am sure you have great suppliers but, please consider me for a bid on your next project(s). I'm an experienced customer builder supplier based in the OC but can be available to you or your clients on-site anytime.

P.S. My partner and I are animal lovers as well. We have 2 cats (breeds?), a Jack Russel and a Papillon. An account like yours could could help me make them even more spoiled =P Thanks Jeff!

We have a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house in California (no master bath). We would like to maximize the space for the best possible sale in the future. Where should we focus on a remodel? We were thinking of maximizing storage in the kitchen or expanding it and adding a second bath. What would you recommend? It has good lines and an open floor plan in the living area but I'm not hoping for miracles.

Jeff, you are fabulous!!! My husband and I are addicted to your show. I just have one question...How do I become Jenni? She is on it and looks beautiful doing her job. I'm an organized, dedicated Executive Assistant who would love the chance to work one on one with a genius like you. How do I do it?
Thanks, keep up the great work!!!!
