Final Words from the Magic Man

Well Parker fans, it was an episode filled with wannabes, couldabes, and shouldabes.

We have many well-known people visit the Parker, and for the most part they are low-key and are here simply to relax and get away from their hectic celebrity lives. They basically want to be left alone and be afforded the luxury of privacy. Then you have the other side of the coin where a “celeb” expects the seas to part, and as far as they are concerned no one else in the world exists or matters. Chris Anthony’s attitude and demeanor certainly seem to lean towards the latter.

He simply needs to buy a ticket and take a trip to the real world. To expect a hotel to provide him with 100 staff members to meet his every need is ridiculous -- PLEASE! The way he treated and spoke to the staff was condescending and screamed of a high maintenance prima donna!

John,

Would like to pass a message onto the beautiful dark-haired second pastry chef at the Parker, can you please help?

You are the BABE ! Really need to get many more cameras on you... and soon.

John, really enjoy the show. It's time for you to enjoy more of the limelight...steal some from the two witches of eastwick: Adrianna and Danielle. Those two have some serious personality flaws and horse teeth on top. Keep up the good work!

John don't be hard on those girls, your judging them as you write down those nasty comments, as you are misjudging them people are judging you. I think they did a wonderful deed, they made a girls insecurities vanish and her inner beauty come through. Girls you did a wonderful job! BRAVO!

Dear John,

You are a man of class and competence--even excellence. You and the head chef seem to be the only ones who have such qualities now that Andrea has left the hotel.

What with the two smiling foul-mouthed, air headed bimbos, a pathetic and needy young woman who actually thought they were doing her a favor, a member of the wait staff that takes a smoke break between serving courses in what is supposed to be a fine dining establishment (doesn't he know you can SMELL the nicotine on the hands of a smoker?!), the bell men who can't find the right rooms, and a management staff that obviously does not know how to properly hire and train good people, you, poor man, must feel somewhat lost at times.

I really liked Michael, even though it was fairly obvious early on that he was not well suited to the job he was hired for, or that he needed much better mentoring than he seems to have received. Now that he is gone, if the show continues, and IF I watch it, it will only be to see how you are doing. You are the only one left that it will be a pleasure to watch.

Hi John,
Since I was reading your blog, thought I'd take a moment to agree with you. Annette is wonderful and one of the sweetest people I know. She is so genuine,,, so very,,, ANNETTE! :) There is no one quite like her. While the "makeover" was probably fun and I'll have to admit there was a moment afterwards where I thought her new "look" brought out her adorable smile, nothing can outshine the inner beauty of that girl. Pretty both on the inside and out, she is a true gem.
That goes for you too John... not the pretty girl part, but you are definately a gem! :)

As a professional photographer myself, I apologize for Chris Anthony's behavior. I was humiliated by his haughty attitude... but remember this... those who turn their noses down at others and make such demands on great hotels are clearly NOT used to staying at five-star properties. Most of those I know who are celebrities or otherwise blessed with the means to travel at that level are generally very kind, understanding and generous. At some point they probably realize they are dealing with real people who are going out of their way to help in any way they can. It's generally those who are not used to these properties that assume they are entitled to take advantage bleed it for every perk they can get away with. They have no idea of how much more they would receive if they were understanding, mannered and reasonable.

Not to worry... the Parker is a beautiful place in more ways than one can count. The greatest asset is the staff and all you guys do for the guests. I look forward to Season 2 to see who checks in next! Hey... we need to see Kathy Griffin and her 2 dogs register as guests next time!

John, I just loved watching you on this show! You make the Parker a great place, you go above and beyond the call of duty to make the guests stay a memorable one. Keep up the good work, I can tell you enjoy your job very much.

You have a lot of class, John. I'd be surprised if you didn't get a lot of job offers from people who watched the show!
