Hi everyone!

Before I get into Episode 10, Bravo tells me that they have had an enormous amount of requests from viewers interested in knowing who the designer was of the leopard print dress that I wore for my bridal shower and more details in regards to our wedding. As far as details of our wedding, I am revamping my Web site www.lauriwaring.com. I will have extensive details of our wedding including a list of all of our vendors and lots of fun surprises. I think you will enjoy it even if a wedding is not on the horizon. The leopard print dress that I wore at my bridal shower was found by George at Villa Romana in St. Tropez last summer. I must say that George has incredible taste. The designer is Jenny Packham. Go to www.jennypackham.com to view her current collections. They are amazing!

It was so nice to have the opportunity to attend Tamra's 40th birthday party for two reasons: one being that it forced me to get away from the stress of planning a wedding to enjoy an evening with George and "the housewives" and the other reason being that I really like Tamra. She is so full of life, a bundle of energy, and just plain fun to be around. Tamra does not hold back from saying what is on her mind. You really can't predict what will flow out of her mouth. She is hilarious. Plus it was a special night for her and I know that Simon really went out of his way to make her happy. It is nice to be around couples that are so obviously in love as the two of them. I like the way they joke around with each other. I feel it is so important to laugh together. The Rolex watch Simon gave Tamra was incredible and she wears it well.

Lauri,
You are such a sweet lady and I'm so happy about your marriage to George! However, it bothers me that you make Idaho sound like such a backwards state. Not everyone in Idaho is a potato farmer. Sure, we're not California, but there are still plenty of cultured people here.

Debbie wrote:

You will make a beautiful bride and I wish you and George the very best. It is nice to see that you answer people's questions in your blog...I wish Tamara would answer hers. I looked on the Rolex website for her watch and can't find it so I asked which style it is...no answer as of yet....oh well. Again, my best to you and George and your whole families....you are wonderful1

Hi Lauri,

I must say I am a big fan of yours and am so happy for you in finding happiness with George. Also, I am very impressed with how you are handling things with your son Josh. You seem to be taking all the appropriate steps in helping him get his life together and I do know that can be one tough thing to do with a child. Wishing you much happiness and success in your future.

I understand completely what you are going through with Josh but I really feel that he will grow up and realize the love and support you have for him. My son was very similar to Josh at that age and I had all the same feelings. He is now grown with a family, a lovely home and a sucessful business. Best of Luck to you and your extended family!!

Lauri,
I am so glad it has finally 'gotten easier' for you. I am waiting for it to get easier for me to. I hope somewhere down the line, I have the same sort of luck like you did. My issues are different as they deal with health -- and then -- hopefully a change of life plans -- but I watch 'my guilty pleasure' The Real Housewives' and look at the life you now have and see that there may be some hope down the road.

Even with all of the sudden wealth, you seem to be the only housewife that doesn't spurt out a sour grapes type of comment at some of the issues on the show. Jeana gives back some little snags at Tamra and Viki, well, Viki is just Viki.

Best wishes on your wedding. I can't wait to see the season finale. I wish your show was on a few more months! I just signed up at your website and can't wait to see what you do. Thanks for being real! : ) Susan, Long Island, NY

Lauri,
You are by far my favorite housewife. I'm not saying that no-one else on the show has family issues, but I can relate to you better.I have a 19 year old daughter who is married now 2nd year in college, wonderful young lady. I also have a 13 year son who is wonderful as well too. I remarried last year to the most loving, caring man I've ever met. Now there are 6 kid's all together, my husband has 2 kids from his first marriage 20 and 19 years old.He has full sole custody of his 3 children from his 2nd marriage, 12-10-5 we have been together for 3 years. My 20 year old step son is not going down the path we would like him to, however he has been living in his own apartment for the past year he has lost every thing over a D.U.I
my husband and I 2 day's ago went to his apartment which became a flop pad and we made him pack and we through his friends out and told the apartment manager he would no longer be there, we brought him home and sent him off to Indiana to his real mom's house because I ultimately need to take of of the 4 I have in the house, I must say though when we got home from basically evicting him he thanked us because he didn't know how to ask for help. When he got his d.u.i. he lost his job because it required a CADL. he then of course allowed his friend to drive who had a suspended license and they got pulled over and well he lost his car, everything snowballed from there. Please tell Josh to hang in there, and you do the same I see all the love you truly have for your son, even though alot of the show is edited I respect you as a woman, you deserve to be happy.I think you are a beautiful woman, and George is so handsomeI wish both of you the best.

Hi Lauri,

I don't usually write on anyone's blog, but I wanted to connect with you for some reason. I love the show and really am envious of the lifestyle you ladies live. I have to say, you are my favorite. You seem very genuine to me and could easily blend right in with my group of girls. I especially love that you took the trip to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. Good for you! Get those spoiled kids out into the real world where they can learn to appreciate the "truly" good things in life - things that matter and last - not just the BMWs and rolexes. I've been there twice and feel such a connection to that part of the country. Good luck with the wedding! Can't wait to see it. Remember to relax and enjoy it - so many people only look at the pictures later and say "wow...it must have been a good party" but they don't remember it.
Enjoy your new fantastic dream life but please stay grounded - it's what makes you so much more likeable and very unique in the OC. Regards...Mary in Virginia.

Congratulations to you & your new family! You both seem like wonderfully, sweet people. It's nice to see a couple truly in love.

Laurie, you are a great role model for Mom's out "here". Being a Mother of 3 (20, 16 & 12yrs old) myself...I can empathize with you the most. You have a real, down to earth connection with your children. As parents, we all go through trials & tribulations with our kids. Just when you think you can't hang in there any longer; your child does something that changes things for the better. Even if it's just a small step; as long as it's in a positive direction...it's a God send. Thank you & Josh for putting yourselves out there, especially in the last couseling episode. There will be many families you will help and I'm sure you will never know your impact. For them, I Thank you.

Watching from the outside, I can tell you have left a positive mark on your children & even your new children. We are always blessed to have children but, truly, not everyone is blessed with such a wonderful parent. Keep up the good work & know everything will be that much a lighter load since you have George.

I apologize for being a bit random but, that's the way it goes with me. lol

Lora :)

I think you hit the husband jackpot with George (I'm also a George). He seems so grounded and appears to be an exellent father and spouse. I pride myself in being a good father and he is a great example to see on TV, and a nice contrast to some of the ego maniacal shallow men in Southern California. I'd like to wish you guys good health and happiness for the next 50 years together, George isn't going anywhere, as he too hit the wife jackpot.

Hi Lauri! As I have watched the show since it aired the first season it is so refreshing to see you literally attracted all that you want into your life.  Your energy and spirit are so inspiring to others. I am a holistic coach and a yoga teacher here in Las Vegas and I see a lot of tortured souls.   What I do is work to help them make decisions that will make them happy and healthy and then everything else comes after we show our gratitude.  You remained so positive throughout all of the turmoil and family issues and just worked with your circumstances as they surfaced.  Very challenging to do when you are living in a place where material and image is such a focus.  Believe me I feel it here in Las Vegas.  Best of Luck with George.  You waited, you did not settle and all you ever say is how nice he is and how much you love him and at the same time your appreciation and gratitude for the comfort he provides shines through with such grace.   Many should take lessons from you and how having more than others in the $$ area does not change the core of who you are.  Be Well.  Can't wait to watch next week's episode!Namaste,Melinda  www.mindyogawellness.com (under construction! :)

Dearest Lauri,
I want to first extend my warmest congratualtions and well wishes to you and George, and your family. You both are an inspiration that love is not out of reach, even for those of us who have ventured, only to be scared in the process. I am sooo proud of you. Josh's struggles are not unlike many of the ones experienced by many of us, and it takes tremendous courage to attempt to make things right, so your new beginning can be morally impecable. I know your soul, being from the midwest, I relate to your ethics and ideals and desire to raise your children in the "real" world and not the microcosm of the OC.
I enjoy all of the glimpses into all of your lives, however, I identify most with you... as a mother, an advocate for those who have had less and aspire to be more... not just with material possessions, but with a higher ground. God Bless. Much happiness to you, George and the chidlren. You're by far the most grounded of all the ladies promoted on Real Wives.

I have been trying to get a cut like yours in Houston for the last year. I have been to all of the best salons here with mediocre results The last time my girlfriend and I were in Beverly Hills,I wanted to get it cut but, as you know, some of the best salons have average stylist. I'm reading your blogs for the first time and felt compelled to comment on this one in particular. I know there is quite a bit of editing on the show, but I feel like they've done a great job in portraying your story. I really feel like the viewers can see the love you have for your children. My sons are still young and I cannot imagine how painful it would be to have to go through the issues you have. I'm sure that your ability to see past the hurtful things that your son has put you through will be what ultimately saves your relationship with him. I'm glad to see your honesty and that you're handling this in such a classy, put-together way. Good luck to you!

I wish you and George and both your families and pets the best of luck. God Bless, especially your son. I think, out of all the parents on the show you personally ground your children and try to give responsibility which makes them into the people they are. Having hardships & having to work is what makes a person strong, gives them drive and builds character, & spoiling is called spoiled for a reason. When you spoil, you really are doing them a disservice. I hope your family continues to thrive and remains healthy & happy. You are a drop-dead georgeous older woman who deserves to be pampered. I just have one concern, it does worry me though, a little, that Ashley is a 20-year-old woman and still acts like a 15 girl, because it is a harsh world out there. I am wondering if she is considering college? Have you considered a mother/daughter business?

I wish I lived closer to you and the other gals it would be so nice to have freinds like you. I have a couple of questions first, How did you get from Idaho to the O.C.? and you are always wearing great clothes, especially beautiful shiny dark colored blouses I have seen on the show when you are just sitting talking to the camara. There was a green and a purple. I was wondering where those were from. I too have long blonde hair and similar eyes and thought those looked stunning on you and thought I wonder where she got those? and oops I guess I have 1 more question, sorry. Can we get your jewlery yet? the jewlery you were designing and that you where is so so great love it love it love it! I wish you and your family the best! Nicole

I'm reading your blogs for the first time and felt compelled to comment on this one in particular. I know there is quite a bit of editing on the show, but I feel like Bravo has done a great job in portraying your story.

When I watch the show it so helps me to escape my life and not focus on tha pain so much! I am praying that there is a cure someday for it! but until there is I just wanted you to know that you all help me get through the days somehow. thank God I also have a great daughter to help me too. I think you are a very caring person, and feel like you are easy to talk to and I guess thats why I wrote about my health issues I normally don't like to draw attention to that. Like I was saying in my last entry I Love your style everything you have worn when I have seen the show I love and I have the same taste! I am so happy for you and the family! I actually creid whenI watched the wedding and the toast Ashley gave you guys! Awe how touching! You are a great role model for other Moms out there and you and George seem so accepting of one anothers families its great to see. I dream of one day making it maybe to the O.C. or at least to have that great life like you and George. Hello Lauri! I never thought I'll write to someone from reality show TV...I started watching the show because I was being curious...I moved to the States from Poland and I started out as a nanny for a insanely rich family. Observations lead me to many conclusions regarding women of this so called "higher" status. I've moved on from that period in my life. I am a writer and a fitness instructor now, but the memories remained. I wanted to see how spoiled you were :-) And you know what? I was surprised and relieved at the same time, to see that you can be down to Earth as you are, so refreshing! I think you and I are quite similar, although my life story differs from yours quite a bit. I can say, I am as strong as you are (I started from ZERO-and not knowing Englihs - when I decided to chase my American Dream) and I am also a positive no matter what person. I wish you all the best! I wish I could meet you, I'm sure in person you are even more inspiring!
