Bravotv.com: [Talk about Josh moving out ….]
Lauri: …That’s when I think parents have most difficult time raising children: when we have wisdom, and try to spare our children from hurt, and they refuse to listen to that wisdom. And I think that was a perfect example. And, what happened was Josh did move over there immediately. And, yeah, my perception from it all, in hindsight, looking back on it, was that I think he did do it to hurt me. And I think Josh had voiced that he thought that George had replaced him in my heart, and I think that was a way just to hurt me, and maybe even to hurt George too. And then also I think that he was lured in with free rent in lieu of being a weapon to hurt my relationship...]]>

Bravotv.com: Josh, I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention to the blogs on our site ….
Josh: I always wondered why they were so interested ….
Lauri: I have my opinion, Josh. You know what? Josh was really open and honest with his problems and I think that people can totally relate. Nobody’s perfect – everybody’s got problems. And I think that when you open up and expose those types of things, I think you draw people in because they’ve got those problems too and they want to know how is he handling it, how is he facing it. And I think everyone, even...]]>
Before I get into Episode 10, Bravo tells me that they have had an enormous amount of requests from viewers interested in knowing who the designer was of the leopard print dress that I wore for my bridal shower and more details in regards to our wedding. As far as details of our wedding, I am revamping my Web site www.lauriwaring.com. I will have extensive details of our wedding including a list of all of our vendors and lots of fun surprises. I think you will enjoy it even if a wedding is not on the horizon. The leopard print dress that I wore at my bridal shower was found by George at Villa Romana in St. Tropez last summer. I must say that George has incredible taste. The designer is Jenny Packham. Go to www.jennypackham.com to view her current collections. They are amazing!

Taking the family to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Yellowstone Park went about as well as expected. The first part of the trip was relaxing, yet we participated in many activities with the entire family -- even my mom and dad joined us at the Four Seasons. We river-rafted and fly-fished down the Snake River, and we hopped on horses and rode through the valleys and hills of the Grand Tetons. I can't describe in words the magnitude of beauty of the scenery. The Tetons are so majestic -- the skies so clear and bright blue and the valleys so lush and green with the most amazingly colorful wildflowers. It was great having my mom and dad along as it was the first time they had a chance to meet George's daughters. My parents were happy in the comfort of their very large suite. Our room at the Four Seasons was a large three-bedroom suite...]]>
One of the joys of parenthood is the satisfaction of seeing your children create memories and open themselves up to new experiences. While we were filming last season, Sophie, Josh, and I were at lunch when Sophie expressed that she wanted to go to UCLA and play women's softball. Kelly McKeown, Director of Marketing for the Amateur Softball Association of America saw that episode and was so impressed that a nine-year-old had so much enthusiasm for softball, that he took the time to contact Bravo to invite Sophie to Oklahoma to be the official bat girl. When I told Sophie about the offer, she screamed for about five minutes, caught her breath, and started screaming again! I think she was excited!
I played softball for as long as I can remember. Being raised on...]]>
As early as my first date with George, I actually entertained the thought of marriage again. We connected on every level very quickly. It was really no surprise to me that we were engaged just four months later. During our engagement neither of us put pressure on each other in setting a date. We felt it would fall in place when it was meant to be. We were engaged on 7/7/06 and thought it would be fun to be married one year later on 7/7/07-- lucky sevens! We eventually agreed to 9/8/07 simply due to timing and schedules. I think having that year of engagement was crucial. George and I experienced every trial and tribulation that you could possibly imagine during that time, and it gave us the chance to see how each other reacts under pressure. Apparently, we both passed the test!
George loves first class. I mean, really, who...]]>
In regards to the girls getting tattoos in South Beach, well I just don't understand why a person wants to be marked up, not to mention that it is permanent. I've heard that statistically, if you can talk a person out of getting a tattoo when they are between the ages of 16-25, odds are they won't get one later. I actually feel sick to my stomach when I see a person covered in tattoos. For some reason, I can't even bring myself to touch them. Ashley and McKenzie are adults and can do whatever they want to do with their bodies. Their tattoos are small and I'm thankful that they got them on their feet and that they respected us enough to wait until the legal age to receive a tattoo. To each their own, but tattoos just aren't for me- George feels the same. We have the same parenting style. I can...]]>
In this episode, you see me deciding to put my townhouse on the market. This was a tough decision for me for a couple of reasons. First, this was such a milestone in my life. It was the first major purchase that I had made other than my car, since my divorce. I had made something happen that I had been told would be impossible.
Buying my home was a big deal to me--a huge sense of accomplishment, so listing it for sale was difiicult. Also, I knew that I would get grief from Ashley, but since there was only one occupant, it wasn't making financial sense to keep it. As the real estate market was softening, I knew it was my last chance for awhile to make money off of it and that I had only a short window of time in which to do so. Ashley is approaching her 23rd birthday...]]>
George and I have a great relationship, built on a foundation of trust. George appears to be quiet and conservative, but he really is hilariously funny. He has the greatest sense of humor that I've ever witnessed in a person. We both have very quirky personalities and try not to take life too seriously. Laughter really is the best medicine--we spend alot of time laughing!
We share the same values and views in all of the important aspects of life, especially when it comes to parenting. We enjoy the outdoors, nature, recreation, travel, holding hands and lots of kissing!!!! You only have so much time on this planet--you might as well enjoy it!
