Actually, my first kiss was in pre-school, but wasn’t everybodys? Isn’t that hilarious? You kiss your best friend on the playground. It’s technically a first kiss, but…
It was in the sandbox. His name was Kyle. I think. We were maybe four.
My real first kiss… Even my mom doesn’t know about it. His name was Shane Hug. He was my first boyfriend in seventh grade. I was a little young for it all. It was right before high school, in that time when boys and girls start to really look at each other.
There’s a lot of build-up to your first kiss. You think, “What’s the big deal about?” And then, “oh. Is this what the big deal is about? This is awfully messy.”
It was wet. And sloppy. And lots of fun.
It was in my bedroom at my house, unbeknownst to my mom. I can only hope that the statute of limitations about getting in trouble has passed, Mom. Sorry! It paved the way for many other ex-boyfriends to follow.
And then over the years you practice and you get a little bit better.
I’m well on record about this, but if I had to nail down my first moment of “love at first sight,” I’d have to say bacon.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Dear LeeAnne,
Did you and Dave Martin team up to divulge your most secret selves? Both blogs are kind of .... hmmm.... off the mark in responding to outraged viewers' comments toward producers and editors sleazy ways. Of course, Dave is not in the production loop and would not have any answers to the fans' questions. (His blog is filled with private parts...)
Maybe you can enlighten us why there is no final blog from Shauna, the producer.. Was she 86'd or in hiding???
Andy just evades the question by diverting us with his silly life stories.
P.S. I hope that you return to blogging for TC-3 (if there is one.

Hey Lee-Anne--
I, for one, really appreciate getting more blogs from you. Yours may be (along with Tom's) the best-written blog of the lot. Not only are you gifted in cooking but communication, as well.
Bravo drives me a little crazy but Top Chef was so much fun I forgive them. I would love to catch the Reunion episode of Season 1 Top Chef (where you should have been in the final) but they never show it.
Then, they don't tell us who won the contest of having Ilan (can I trade him for Sam?) coming to cook for one lucky winner.
Lastly--they kept showing those inane polls! like "Who hates Marcel the most?" ; "Who is instigating the most trouble". Here's one: Who cares?
Hope to eat some of your food some day.
Keep up the good work!

Hi Lee Ann,
I've never responded to anything like this but I must ask...You've always been attractive but now you look amazing!
What are you doing to enhance your TV persona. I really enjoyed you on Top Chef I and I continue to follow the "Wong Way to Cook." However, I must say...whatever you're doing is the RIGHT way to go!! I, too, love to cook and have battled the bulge for 3 decades...I admire what you've done. Any advice??

I made your Saffron Haupia Fritters and waisted the whole thing. Even tried to freeze it, but to no avail.
Either there was an error on your recipe list or you left other ingredients out. The custard never set, although the taste was there. I watched your video and read the recipe thoroughly and found it impossible to succeed in this recipe given your instruction.
