My invitation to Heidi Klum’s Annual Halloween Party arrived and immediately I knew I had to “think outside the costume bag” for what I would wear. It said “Costume Required” so there was no other option. There was extra excitement because, for the first time, it was to be held here in Los Angeles at Privilege, a club that hold the auspicious title of serving the most expensive well drinks in LA. Finally, there was added pressure because Heidi’s PR and one of her executive producers asked me to do “Uncle Nick: Live from the Halloween Red Carpet” and cover the event. Are you kidding me? Now I really needed to “step it up.”
Last week, NPR.org asked me to do some Halloween costume illustrations for their story on Project Runway designers. One of the sketches I did was of a Pirate, like “Jack Sparrow” of Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Bravo's on your blog, and also the video from Heidi's party!
I am one of probably numerous people that thought you should have won your season on Project Runway! But I still bet your laughing all the way to the BANK! Much continued success!

aren't you so stylish and glamorous. you are also one of the most talented from season 2. it shows in your ideas here and also in the show. i think you should be in the final 3 but you're still a winner for all of your fans.
by the way... i like the last suit you made fordaniel vosovic... that was the most stylish but the judges just didn't like it... it seemed like it came from a men's fashion show in milan or maybe new york or even london... it was the bomb!
but i really love your halloween idea!
bye...
MABUHAY KA NICK!

Nick, I just received the DVD of "Project Runway Season Two" and finally had a chance to watch it from start to finish. Not only do I think you were the most talented designer, but you appear to be one of the kindest, most compassionate people on this planet. Of course, it is important to be simply fabulous at your craft, but in many cases it is more important to be simply fabulous as a person. You, Nick, know and understand the importance of both. It has been a pleasure "getting to know you" through Project Runway.
Most SIncerely,
Susan
