Several weeks ago, I was in San Diego, California, the city with the envious title of having the “Best Weather in all of the US”. I was there to debut my Resort/Spring 2008 NIKOLAKI Collection. "Why San Diego?" many asked. Well, there were several reasons.
Almost a year ago, I went to San Diego for an event, and I stayed at the fabulous W Hotel. I was especially fond of their “Beach Bar”, located on the second floor, which is an outdoor patio and bar filled with sand to mimic a beach, which overlooks the skyline of San Diego. The W Hotel promotion team asked me then if I would do one of their “Celebrity Bartender” nights. I was flattered that they used the word “celebrity” and "Nick Verreos" in one sentence AND, although my friends delight in telling me that I can make a “mean Cadillac Margarita”, the prospect of serving it to hundreds was daunting. I respectfully declined.

First off let me just say that I love your clothes. The green dress you made for the Barbie challenge was my favorite by far. And i think you are just a great person all around and i love your personal style. My only comment is why don't oyu make clothes for the masses? Well big girls. I mean is our money not as green as a size 2's? Is there not enough fabric to cover our big behinds? It just frustrates me that i see all these great clothes by all these great designers that i love, DFV, Kors, D&G, BCBG and they stop at a size 10. I mean i don't understand. Why cant a big girl wear a Valentino dress to a great function. I mean if you made clothes for big girls i would rock the hell out of them. I just dont get it.

P.S. I love that you are close to your family like that. I'm an aspiring model and ProjectRunway designs really got me interested in the high fashion aspect.

I adore the neckline on the green dress ( looks green to me) from page 5. How can we view the remaining line?
Good luck to you!

Nick,
Congrats on what must have been a wonderful show. I too adored your design for the "Barbie" challenge. Just adored it. And love the Grecian feel of your line. My question is this, when you have someone that is a say size 6, but only 5'4, when hemming the garment, how do you still get the same flow and feel that you get when designed for a 5'11 frame?

Nick, I know I'm a little late in the game for acknowledging you and your hard work. I never started watching Project Runway until season 3, however I am watching your season now. I can't tell you how inspired I am and was, by your work. I am a singer/actor... did some costume design in college. Nonetheless, do not have near the talent that you do, obviously. But watching the shows really made me watch for you, and I was pulling for you Nick, totally! You are a phenomenal designer, and I am so pleased to see your work is out there for the world to admire!! Your heart during the season, really got to me. Great people deserve great things. I wish I could meet you someday, your spirit and personality are so admirable, fresh, and lively. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope to have you design something for me, once I finally make it. Bravo Nick!

It gave me goose bump seeing the dresses you made for the Beach Bar. I lost a bet for my husband on you being one of the thre finalist (with Chleo, Daniel V), but that's cool, once you have talents, a title is just icing on the cake, isn't it? Tons of love to you and your little Barbie niece. Lexie's mom.

Nick,
You are a huge inspiration to me. I watched all three seasons religiously and i felt that season 2 was the most inspiring for me. Your designs were elegant and chic. I really felt that you had a very sophisticated viewpoint. This new show was a huge success judging by the enormous positive outcry. Congratulations on such a great success and keep up the good work. You are an idol to a lot of people and keep doing what you are doing.

I loved all your clothes on Season 3 and I'm hoping that when my beloved forever in school daughter finally gets married I'll be able to have you design a dress for me. The way you drape your fabrics.....pure beauty. You highlight a woman's curves. It must feel like being in heaven to wear one of your creations. Just don't get too expensive for me Nick! My Megan graduates with her PhD, but not until 2009!

Wanted to say congratulations. I loved you on PR and now you've come into your own again. The dresses on the site are great.
You're so right about the comments by Michael and Nina. Too often I find them insulting, degrading and totally out of line.
After season 3, I now know that the producers look for drama, not talent. Witness the last finale.
You should have been there to the end. Regardless of what people think and do, talent is nothing without a real person, not nastiness, behind it.
Keep up the good, and hard, work. It all pays off in the end.

Nick I think that your clothes are fabulous and innovative. I was so distraught when you didn't make it to the final 3. I think that you had the talent to be there. I hope that your line becomes HUGE like Christian Dior or Ives Saint Laurent. I can't wait to see more from you. You definitely have the personality to make it in the fashion industry. Good luck in everything you do!
