A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of having a conversation about fashion with Tim Gunn and Jonathan Adler (I work at Bravo; it's a perk!). They both stressed the importance of developing a "uniform." The look you choose to wear based on what you know looks best on you. It takes a bit of work, but I have to say, since taking their advice, I feel as though I've been let off the hook when getting dressed in the morning. I have finally accepted that my uniform may always consist of jeans, some kind of shirt, and a zip-up cardigan. With sneakers. At least for the winter. Basically, I now try in all ways to dress like Mr. Rogers (after he gets home). I have no idea what's going to happen when it gets warmer. But I look forward to the effort. --Zac H.

Seeing Mr Rogers again takes me back to the late afternoon line up of Sesame Street, MR. Rogers, The Electric Company and ZOOM...Boston, Mass 02134.....All three of my kids would sit on my tummy while I took a little stroll through Good Housekeeping or Redbook...seeing the cardigans again gives me hope for gentler times...

I watched a Mr. Rogers opera today about a kitty and a star (we were recording it for my nieces). I think Mr. Rogers' show is better for self-esteem that a pile of self-help books. I was just commenting today as I watched how Kurt Cobain also knew how to wear cardigans well. Didn't Mr. Rogers' mom knit all his sweaters for him?
