Yes, there are plenty of tote bags out there that are environment friendly but have you ever come across any that actually say they are? Ok, sure you have, but I'm talking about I'm Not A Plastic Bag by designer Anya Hindmarch. This bag is literally making a statement across the globe in our new (and I must say necessary) obsession with "green" earth. So remember, it's easy to be fashionable - maybe - but to be fashionable and environmentally-conscious is to be close to godliness.

Yea 1st comment! I'm an enviro-freak and have been since birth. This trend is GREAT, but some people get weird about it, like green tea infused pants. Just, stay reasonable people - and get that bag. Izzit organic cotton or Bamboo fiber :]

That's great that the bag is environmentally friendly, that people are buying it and hopefully using it. But this bag went off the richter scale in "Cabbage Patch Doll" style when people traveled, stood in line for hours to be the first to get one. Just so they can say "I got one". Really, it's all ridiculous these days.
I hope things like this do help to save the planet but I won't subject myself to standing in line to get one. I don't even think the bag made it to my area of the country.
