This past weekend I finally saw the new Disney film Enchanted. I had heard good things, especially about Amy Adams' performance, and had pretty high hopes for the film. Although my friends were ready to leave the theater after the first few minutes, they hung in there, and as soon as the live action began, the tides turned. I loved the film, and the children in the audience seemed to enjoy it too. Disney took the term "meta" to new heights, and, without going into too much film theory, created a film that's interesting on so many levels, that it's fairly remarkable.
Amy Adams, who I loved on The Office and in Junebug (which you should also see) was wonderful, and her recently-announced Golden Globe nomination is well-deserved.
